A unique work for seven trumpets. Tried to pick something that was somehow appropriate for ‘game day’. I fear that I failed miserably.
Enjoy the music, enjoy the game, but most of all enjoy your day!?

from IBT: Cat Bowl 2019: When, Where To Watch Online, TV Before Super Bowl
Hallmark Channel’s been putting on the “Kitten Bowl” for a few years now, but, this year, they’re airing the first-ever annual “Cat Bowl,” as well.
This event, which premieres Saturday night, is part of Adoption Ever After, the network’s initiative to help animals all across America get adopted.
“‘Cat Bowl’ will showcase adorable and adoptable adult ‘cat-letes’ as they compete on the gridiron for a special place in viewers hearts,” the synopsis explains. “Inspirational stories of senior and special needs cats will highlight the special event.”
The synopsis continues: “The special will also feature Where Are They Meow, stories that follow up on some former ‘Kitten Bowl’” cat-letes such as Jerry Mice, Puma Esiason and last year’s star, Swirl.”
Hallmark’s “Cat Bowl,” airing the night before the 2019 Super Bowl, and “Kitten Bowl,” broadcasting on the big day, will help make up the biggest pet adoption event in the country. From February 2 to 16, over 500 shelter partners will promote local animals up for adoption.
TV personality Beth Stern will host the event from Hallmark Channel Stadium, where she’ll be joined by two announcers — “The Chronicle Mysteries” star Alison Sweeney and “Home & Family” co-host Cameron Mathison —who will be breaking down all the cat-tastic action.
Information about where you can adopt the cats you see participating in the program, and the many others who are not, can be found on Hallmark’s website.
You can watch the 2019 “Cat Bowl” on Saturday at 10 p.m. EST on TV on Hallmark Channel or via a live stream of it online on Hallmark Channel Everywhere.

Puppy Bowl 2019: Time, date, TV channel, live stream, lineup of dogs for the cutest game of the year
If watching the Super Bowl isn’t really your thing, but puppies are … well, Animal Planet has just the thing for you.
On Sunday prior to the big game, the 15th annual Puppy Bowl will air on Animal Planet and make the world forget that in just a few short hours, two NFL teams will be playing in Super Bowl 53 (OK, not likely).
The Puppy Bowl is essentially two teams of adorable, adoptable puppies facing off inside a makeshift stadium for the coveted title of Puppy Bowl champion.
This year’s Puppy Bowl features 93 puppies from 53 different shelters from across the U.S., Costa Rica and Puerto Rico. Two of the puppers in this year’s starting lineup of 36 have special needs. Keep an eye out for Bumble, who is hearing-impaired and a member of Team Fluff, and Will, a three-legged cutie, also representing Team Fluff.
This is set to be the cutest, least competitive bowl game matchup of all time. Here’s everything you need to know about of the 2019 Puppy Bowl, including how to watch live on TV and where find the stream online plus a full lineup of the dogs.
When is the Puppy Bowl 2019?
The Puppy Bowl will air on the same day as Super Bowl 53, Feb. 3, beginning at 3 p.m. ET on Animal Planet. If you can’t wait until 3 p.m. for some puppy action, pregame coverage begins at 2 p.m. ET, featuring puppy correspondents Rodt Weiler, James Hound and Sheena Inu.

Jace… perfect choice for today!
Rick’s youngest brother has been throwing Super Bowl parties for years and it’s where we usually go. But not this year. Dan let a friend talk him into going to Atlanta to see his first Super Bowl live. Be our good luck charm Dan!
Go Patriots!
Mama’s making meatballs. I’ll be watching from the comfort of the family room couch. I really don’t care about the Rams playing in the game all that much, but it’s the Super Bowl fuhchrissake and the Pats are in it led by Tom Brady – and that only happens once a year.
new Yorker: The 2019 Super Bowl Ads Are a Case Study in Technological Dread
How many ads must a man look upon before he can truly see? Let’s start in the heart of Budweiser’s America, where the adorable ears of a Dalmatian flap in the breeze. The dog accompanies a beer delivery—a horse-drawn wagon rolling through waving wheat—that’s set to Bob Dylan’s “Blowin’ in the Wind.” The camera pulls back to reveal wind turbines, branded with the Budweiser logo, spinning above the scene. We read that the beer is “now brewed with wind power for a better tomorrow.” We wonder whether, since the brand is so committed to environmentalism, it might conserve further resources by making its beer less watery. We shouldn’t be surprised by Dylan licensing this song—a canonical protest anthem with a melody tracing to the black-American folk tradition—to lift the voice of the world’s largest beer producer. After all, it was only five years ago that he appeared in a Super Bowl ad for Chrysler while “Things Have Changed” played in the background. And yet I wonder how many of his hundred-million-odd viewers will be stirred, by this commercial, to think of another breeze wafting through his songbook—the idiot wind, blowing through the dust upon our shelves.

Well, to abandon for a moment the seriousness of pro football and turn to the silliness of politics White House style. WaPo editors call for Congress to examine Trumpco use of NDAs.

Gubernatorial impeachments are rare enough, but it’s never been done before in Virginia.
Still, there is a process in place. The exact clause in Article IV Section 17 states the impeachment process comes into play in cases of “malfeasance in office, corruption, neglect of duty, or other high crimes or misdemeanor.” Just like in Congress, the process would start in the House of Delegates and be prosecuted by the state Senate. Two-thirds of the Senate would then have to vote to remove Northam from office — a tally that seems possible based on the outrage and condemnation that’s been building since Friday.
But the big question is whether or not impeachment would apply to this situation. While the wording in the constitution is certainly vague enough to be interpreted broadly by lawmakers, it’s debatable whether or not it’s so broad to actually apply here.
However there’s a second potential remedy you might hear more about in the coming days which is similar to the 25th Amendment in the U.S. Constitution.
Article V Section 16 says there are two options available to declare the governor “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.” That process can happen two ways. Either the attorney general, the president pro tempore of the Senate and the speaker of the House of Delegates OR majority of the entire general assembly declares the governor is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.”
That section of the state constitution goes on to say that after that occurs, the governor can respond with a written declaration that “no inability exists” which would allow him to resume his term. But the two entities that began that process then have four days to again declare the governor is “unable” to serve. If that happens the entire General Assembly would again have a say. Should things get to that point, it would take a three-fourths vote in the House and the Senate to oust Northam from office.

Donald J. Trump was burning through cash.
It was early 2016, and he was lending tens of millions of dollars to his presidential campaign and had been spending large sums to expand the Trump Organization’s roster of high-end properties.
To finance his business’s growth, Mr. Trump turned to a longtime ally, Deutsche Bank, one of the few banks still willing to lend money to the man who has called himself “The King of Debt.”
Mr. Trump’s loan request, which has not been previously reported, set off a fight that reached the top of the German bank, according to three people familiar with the request. In the end, Deutsche Bank did something unexpected. It said no.
Senior officials at the bank, including its future chief executive, believed that Mr. Trump’s divisive candidacy made such a loan too risky, the people said. Among their concerns was that if Mr. Trump won the election and then defaulted, Deutsche Bank would have to choose between not collecting on the debt or seizing the assets of the president of the United States.

Contrarian dance party woot woot
We are having lemon garlic wings, humus, nuts, crackers, chips
french fries and either a hotdog with the works or a Garabaldi kind of a sub
drinking beer a Porter
and waddling from the couch to the bed later on
And now the preparations are done. Only thing left is for the cornbread (cheddar & jalapeño) to finish baking.
KC, sounds like a party for the taste buds. The cornbread cooked (I forgot to hit post) and is excellent. I was a tad heavy handed with the cayenne in the chili, but it was very spicy but not overly hot. It was really good. Mrs. P made a very tasty dip. It, nuts, etc. will be the snacks.
Only 45 minutes left to place yer bets. (Hint- don’t bet against Tom Brady).
