Luckily I remember my father and three uncles serving in the army, navy and army air corps in WWII, fighting that era’s biggest fascist, and thankfully none died while doing so. Unfortunately the last surviving one, who died last month fell for me Fox disinformation campaign and became one of the blob’s biggest fans. He also laid in bed for the last 8 years going in and out of the world dementia created in his head, carrying on conversations with someone no one else in the room could see.  He was the only ttrumper in our family.

Jack Smith Seeks Gag Order To Stop Assassination Claims

Yeah I think accusing DOJ of trying to kill him in Mar-a-Lago search worthy of a gag, considering his first attack on the “raid” prompted one of his nuts to open fire on an FBI field office.

DOJ MOTION FOR MODIFICATION OF CONDITIONS OF RELEASE:

“The Government moves to modify defendant Donald J. Trump’s conditions of release, to make clear that he may not make statements that pose a significant, imminent, and foreseeable danger to law enforcement agents participating in the investigation and prosecution of this case. The Government’s request is necessary because of several intentionally false and inflammatory statements recently made by Trump that distort the circumstances under which the Federal Bureau of Investigation planned and executed the search warrant at Mar-a-Lago. Those statements create a grossly misleading impression about the intentions and conduct of federal law enforcement agents – falsely suggesting that they were complicit in a plot to assassinate him—and expose those agents, some of whom will be witnesses at trial, to the risk of threats, violence, and harassment.”

I did have to remind a second-cousin that her dad didn’t fight the Nazis so she could support Orange Adolf.
I have no idea what her initial response was, as I didn’t open that email.   Eventually, she sent another email mentioning nothing political and we are in communication, again.

Yes, gag him if he’s going to use everything to fake-martyr himself and then use it as a grift.
Also, maybe the MSM could also explain what’s possible in any raid since they’re covering this bit of ridiculousness. It’s not about Dumbfuck Donald.

Dads and uncles on all sides of the family served mainly in WW II, but we did lose one at Chosin Reservoir in Korea.

All honor and remembrance to those who served.

They think they’re the first and only time.

It’s going to take every sane citizen fighting tooth and nail to our last breaths to keep this thieving man from stealing the Presidency ever again.

Pat it isn’t love of fascism, There are few who claim to. It is our culture’s love of the strongman savior, the man who can solve all our problems.  We are surrounded by those images. Not of ordinary people solving their problems but of heroes, often with special almost mythic abilities, destroying our problems with violence.
Bidens problem is that he is an ordinary man running against a mythic creation.
This is a mixed holiday weekend, one where many of us visit the graves of dead loved ones and walk among the graves of ordinary people who did ordinary things. Placing flowers on the graves of ones we remember, looking at the graves of those we only know from stories passed on to us. A few of them did mythic deeds. But most just strived to make their world just a bit better than the one they inherited.
The other is the state sponsored remembrance of our warrior heroes.
Sometimes I think we give too much credit to the warrior hero and too little to the common person adding their bit to improve the world.

Selling the “warrior hero” archetype is big business

”Black Rifle Coffee Company” is the easiest example

I’m now living in a world where I’m surrounded by businesses either telling me they are a Christian, Patriot/veteran or all three.
I’m a cynic and assume they are all hiding  the fact that they give crappy service.
Is it relevant that you are a patriotic Christian, when all I need is my toilet stool unplugged or my Trash hauled off? Just 2 that come to mind.

I was just setting in my back yard, drinking the last of my coffee, thinking about the landscaping/flower gardens. It is coming along. Some mornings I feel the spirit of Mrs Jack hanging out with me, approving my progress.
I have scattered most of her ashes across this country at some of her favorite places. There are some still in the box. I think maybe in a couple of weeks I’ll make a trip to western Kentucky, down by the green river.

Another pick by political genius Donald Trump on his way to making sure GOP loses Senate AGAIN — Royce White, the Republican nominee for the US Senate in Minnesota: “Women have become too mouthy”.

So I’m sitting on the front porch up here in the Catskills.  It’s about 20 feet off the highway. You kind of feel like you’re almost hanging over the highway. Afternoon sun on the porch, ice tea sitton’ in grasping distance, and watching the occasional vehicle go by.  Makes me wish I still smoked. So….im watching….along comes a LOUD motor bike, Japanese not harleyesque. He comes into view on the left, leaning into the curve  and he’s bent down low over the gas tank, haulin’ ass. Bright colored bike.  Haulin’ass, hunched over, and loud   I can still hear him WAY on down the road.
After a few more cars, again from the left comes another motor bike, this time soft, almost purring—its black and the driver is poking along wearing his backpack and sitting perfectly erect. He putts away to the right and when out of sight, he disappears.

Two different methods of knocking on heaven’s door on a bike.
