A flash mob of pantsuit-clad dancers took over New York City’s Union Square Park in Manhattan on Sunday to pay homage to Clinton. More than 100 dancers donned suits in a rainbow of colors as they rocked out to Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop The Feeling.”
And what feeling can the dancers not stop, you might ask? Organizers said it’s the sense of pride they feel for Clinton and the revulsion they have for her GOP opponent, Donald Trump.
The open invitation for the “Pantsuit Power Dance” included a line from The Guardian opinion writer Lindy West: “If we care about our future as a non-blown-up planet, it’s time to stop treating the Democratic candidate as if she’s barely better than a literal white supremacist.”
A Facebook post from the flash mob co-organizer expressed similar views: “We are looking for … all those fun folks who don’t want to see this country ruled under Donald.”
Well for all of us who have been “Waiting for Hillary” and think all of you foot draggers are more than a little slow on the uptake now that it’s time to put a great woman in office.

patd… I recognize that it’s in Portsmouth… that’s a fair I never did. And I didn’t do one this year… I retired from doing fairs last year. Gives me more time to do stuff with my retired hubby. Like today (which is our anniversary)… we are leaving in a few hours to go to our favorite beach in Maine, Ogunquit, for a few days. Wanna see another show at the playhouse. I’ll be back Friday. Taking our mini iPad… so you might hear from me.

Well, the super-duper bargain that I couldn’t refuse just arrived at the front door. It’s a new curved screen 4k Samsung with all the initials. I hope the damned thing will fit in the teevee room–it will replace an older 47-inch LG. I refuse to have a teevee in the family room competing with the fireplace–public radio and good music provides all the supporting ambience that is needed.

Ruffles and Flourishes leading to the beginning of Hail to the Chief are a big deal. But, custom also dictates that the music be immediately followed by a 21-gun salute. That could be annoying after awhile. But, since she Will be CinC, and Pershing’s Own will be under her control, the cannons shall be waived for non-ceremonial occasions of state.
Pogo, my eyes are shot. I’m hoping the 65-inch curve will work out. Consumer Reports says that good views can be had from most reasonable points along the curve; but that the optimum viewing point is head on into it and about 9-feet away if all the initials are in operation which will probably be rarely. Fingers are crossed.
