“But I don’t want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. "Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad." "How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here.” ― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

  1. past is future
old March of Time film hauntingly portends what’s coming again

The first mainstream newsreel in the U.S. to directly call the Nazi regime in Germany fascist.
The Library of Congress chose this film for preservation on the National Film Registry in 1993.

  2. but we’ll think about that tomorrow… that is if there is a tomorrow and as we’ve been warned before, tomorrow may never come. soooo laugh, clown, laugh..

Stocks tumbled again on Tuesday as President Trump’s trade war grinds on, Tesla shares are down 50% as investors dump the stock and Tesla owners rush to sell their vehicles, and the man in charge of America’s health is downplaying the West Texas measles outbreak.

  3. The Ides of March are almost here. I wonder if prez muskovite studied it

I wonder if krasnov and muskovite have shared taken each others pharmaceutical formulas? I doubt either knows the word “share”.`

I wonder if the corporate types get through to sfb that tariffs are killing businesses?

  4. Why do people from Texas think it’s cool to dress like cowboys?

The boots were made for talkin’

  5. Went to the diner for breakfast and the price had gone up and the 3 eggs over medium were tiny…..like quail eggs or something.

  6. Oh well. Another deadly Trump presidency. Pretty wild to see RFK Jr. pounding burgers with Hannity and saying how unhealthy and dangerous measles vaccines are. All while there are 200+ confirmed cases.

RFK Jr on the measles vaccine: "There are adverse events from the vaccine. It does cause deaths every year. It causes all the illnesses that measles itself cause."

  7. https://www.texastribune.org/2025/03/10/rural-texas-measles-outbreak-response/

“With crumbling public health infrastructure, rural Texas scrambles to respond to measles”

“Five years ago, Melanie Richburg used a roll of duct tape, a HEPA filter and a portable fan to draw contaminated air out of a hospital room where patients were tested for the coronavirus.”

“Now, as the state’s largest measles outbreak in three decades sickens an increasing number of Texans in the South Plains region, the Lynn County Hospital District, where Richburg serves as the chief executive officer, is still without specialized isolation rooms to treat patients. So, she’s prepared to bring out the duct tape again.”

“Some 64 Texas counties don’t have a hospital, and 25 lack primary care physicians, according to the Texas Department of Agriculture.”

“Most of Texas’ measles cases are in unvaccinated school-aged children and are concentrated in the Mennonite community in Gaines County. Cases have also been confirmed in eight other counties spanning Dallam near the Oklahoma border down to Ector, south of Gaines.”

“It was only after a school-aged child died from measles that state and federal support intensified. Twenty seven contractors were brought into the outbreak area last week to assist local health departments, Shuford, the state health services commissioner, said during a legislative hearing. A public awareness campaign with billboards and social media messaging was also launched. And, upon a request from the state, the federal CDC sent “disease detectives” to West Texas.”

Musk described Starlink as “the backbone of the Ukrainian army” in a post on Sunday, going on to say that Kyiv’s “entire front line would collapse if I turned it off.”

Directly responding to the statement on social media, Sikorski said Warsaw funneled $50 million each year into providing Starlink access to Ukraine, and suggested Poland would look elsewhere for similar suppliers “if SpaceX proves to be an unreliable provider.”

The ethics of threatening the victim of aggression apart, if SpaceX proves to be an unreliable provider we will be forced to look for other suppliers,” Sikorski said.

“Be quiet, small man,” Musk then responded. “You pay a tiny fraction of the cost. And there is no substitute for Starlink.”

Rubiosaid in response to Sikorski’s statement: “Just making things up. No one has made any threats about cutting Ukraine off from Starlink

“And say thank you because without Starlink Ukraine would have lost this war long ago and Russians would be on the border with Poland right now.”

*What is up with the say-thank-you thing? Fascist.

The exchange appears to be confirmation that Ukrainian forces will continue to have access to Starlink, despite the pause on all U.S. military aid and a suspension on intelligence sharing with Kyiv that Trump has put in force.

The European Commission is already investigating possible alternatives to Starlink access for Ukraine, Politico reported in early March.

  9. https://variety.com/2025/digital/global/elon-musk-outrage-italy-starlink-deal-1236333151/

Negotiations between Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s right-wing government and Elon Musk’s SpaceX over a Starlink deal reportedly worth $1.6 billion are sparking outrage in Italy’s parliament.

On Saturday, the spat prompted Musk to ask to meet personally with President Sergio Mattarella in what appears to be a last-ditch attempt to salvage the deal.

President Mattarella is believed to be among those who strongly support considering different options such as Franco-British Starlink rival OneWeb.

Italian opposition parties are trumpeting their aversion to the proposed five-year deal under which Starlink, the satellite internet company operated by SpaceX, would provide a secure telecommunications system for Italian diplomats and military forces.

*So, Starlink isn’t the only game in town. Cool.

  10. In addition to calling my Republican POS in Congress today, I called Fetterman & Slotkin, because they seem most likely to cave on the CR. Shut it down. Republicans never take blame for anything anyway, so do not “align to” their goals. Republicans in Congress are domestic terrorists, aiding and abetting a Russian asset and a South African princess. Be strong now.

If we can get those FL House seats in three weeks, we can bid adios to MAGAt Mike Johnson. AOC and Jasmine Crockett have been doing the heavy lifting for the House. Hakeem is not a leader.

  11. https://worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/filial-responsibility-laws-by-state

If your state is green on this map, get ready to take in ailing parents if Medicaid is cut and they get kicked out of their nursing home; you will be financially responsible. This can extend to other family members being liable for care in some states, such as siblings or grandparents, or for family being required to take care of those relatives, as well.

“Quite a few places throughout the United States have these pieces of legislature called “filial responsibility laws.” They require adult children to care for their elderly or ill parents, mostly in situations where they do not qualify for state or federal assistance.”

“Under these laws, adult children must care for their parents’ bills and debt once they’re unable to manage it themselves. Many of these debts include nursing home bills and other long-term bills. The amount an adult child is liable to pay can decrease due to Medicare, Medicaid, or Social Security. If their parents qualify for any or all these programs, then the only expenses they’ll have to pay for our personal expenses, like nursing home fees and personal items.”

I’m in a red state, so I guess elders here will just be unhoused if there’s nobody willing to take them in? Certainly, nobody will be willing to assume debt, etc. I asked my members of Congress about this, but the only response I got was:

“I will do everything in my power to ensure every American has access to meaningful, affordable health care.”

My great-grandmother lived on a “poor farm” in Denmark until she was about twelve or thirteen (her birth year is questionable), and she came to the US by herself, sent for by an older sibling after their mother died.

tRUMPin & Musk will Make America Poor Again if not stopped.

“The Trump administration’s ignorance is trumped only by its malice toward the planet,” said Jason Rylander, legal director at the Center for Biological Diversity’s Climate Law Institute. “Come hell and high water, raging fires and deadly heatwaves, Trump and his cronies are bent on putting polluter profits ahead of people’s lives.”

Doesn’t it seem like SFB has been drinking water with lead in it since he was a rotten, little booger-eating kid?

  13. It’s supply and demand. And mother nature. There’s more daylight, so that means time for hens to start laying again. ‘Long as they stay healthy.

  14. RFKjr says getting measles is the best defense. Said Kennedy: “It used to be, when I were a kid, that everybody got measles. And the measles gave you lifetime protection against measles infection. The vaccine doesn’t do that. The vaccine is effective for some people for life, but for many people it wanes.” So far in 2025, measles cases have risen to at least 250 across 12 states. In 2024, the U.S. had 285 total measles cases all year.

  15. Get measles, get lifetime immunity. If you die from measles… Also, you could end up deaf or blind.

The “Blood Moon” phenomenon will start before the full moon reaches peak illumination. As the lunar eclipse begins, the moon will start moving through Earth’s shadow on Thursday night at 11:57 p.m. EDT. However, the moon’s gradual dimming won’t be noticeable until around 1:09 a.m. on Friday. The moon will be fully shaded from around 2:26 a.m. to 3:31 a.m., with the peak viewing opportunity for the red moon happening around 2:59 a.m.

The moon will exit from Earth’s full shadow between 3:31 a.m. and 4:48 a.m., and will leave the last of the partial shadow at 6 a.m. ending lunar eclipse.

While this month’s full moon will rise early Friday, it will appear full from around Wednesday evening into Saturday morning, according to NASA.

  17. ok i am testing an invented vegan stuffed pepper recipe, will share if good

    well it smells pretty yum…

  18. Still stranded a bit longer. Too bad Elon himself wasn’t on that mission last year.

With the countdown within 45 minutes of launch, NASA called off an attempt to send the next crew to the International Space Station Thursday evening to allow more time to troubleshoot a ground system hydraulics issue. If the problem can be resolved in time, NASA and SpaceX will make another attempt to launch the crew on Friday.

A former pastor of a Texas megachurch who resigned after a woman accused him of sexually abusing her in the 1980s has been indicted in Oklahoma on child sexual abuse charges, that state’s attorney general’s office said Wednesday.

Robert Preston Morris, 63, has been charged with five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child.
The alleged abuse started in 1982 when the victim, referred to in the indictment as C.C., was 12 years old and Morris was a traveling evangelist staying in Hominy, Oklahoma, with her family, according to the attorney general’s office. The abuse allegedly continued for four years.

Morris was known to be *politically active. The church hosted President Donald Trump on its Dallas campus in 2020 for a discussion on race relations and the economy.

2017: Robert Morris, of Gateway Church in Southlake, instructed his congregation over the weekend to pressure state lawmakers to advance a bill prohibiting schools and local communities from creating ordinances designed to protect transgender Texans using public bathrooms.

That is what the Veterans March on DC is happening on 3/14.

  22. https://newrepublic.com/post/192660/trump-fbi-charge-climate

The FBI is moving to criminalize groups like Habitat for Humanity for receiving grants from the Environmental Protection Agency under the Biden administration.

Citibank revealed in a court filing Wednesday that it was told to freeze the groups’ bank accounts at the FBI’s request. The reason? The FBI alleges that the groups are involved in “possible criminal violations,” including “conspiracy to defraud the United States.”

The FBI has told Citibank that recipients of EPA climate grants are being considered as potentially liable for fraud. That is, the Trump administration wants to criminalize work on climate science and impacts,” the @capitolhunters account wroteWednesday on X. “An incoming administration not only cancels federal grants but declares recipients as criminals. All these grantees applied under government calls FOR ENVIRONMENTAL WORK, were reviewed and accepted. Trump wants to jail them.”

    WTF?!?

  23. OK, call all of the Senators who look like they’ll cave and start with Chuck. Ask them why they want to vote for a bill that would set up a slush fund for tRUMP & Musk.

    SHUT IT DOWN!
