The editorial notes the recent Supreme Court ruling declining to hear a lawsuit by Texas attempting to throw out the results of four swing states that went for President-elect Joe Biden. The right-leaning paper also faults Democrats for promoting claims of Trump’s own illegitimacy as president, writing that such claims opened the door to his baseless claims of widespread voter fraud. Todays count is just a step along the way. The real count is the one done on Jan 6. Expect a number of state’s slate of electors to be challenged at that time. Given the makeup of Congress expect the shit to hit the fan.

There is an “objector” piece in the final Jan 6 vote in Congress. A member of the house can object in writing signed by at least one Member of Congress and one Senator to the person or bloc voting …. for whatever cause and demand a replacement. Then the members in both house have to vote on the objection. Trump still loses, but just more chaos for the cult.
