Nice to see Bobby-3-Sticks finally showing some skin about what he’s up to. Russia Republicans can prevaricate, manipulate, obviate all they like for their boss Putin, but we’ve got somebody preparing to save America.
Russia Republicans Unmasked
EXCLUSIVE: ABC News has obtained the full text message between FBI officials referencing a “secret society” within the bureau. But was it in jest?
Craig: There is something terribly serious happening here. A major national party becoming the tool of a hostile foreign government. We have members of Congress and their media allies attacking our law enforcement institutions with baseless charges promoted by Russia. Hurry Bob Mueller, please hurry!
Oh, and By the Way
If Stormy Daniels got $130,000 after Melania gave birth what did she get?
whattaya wanna bet that “secret society” meets every Friday at 5 pm at the nearest bar to fbi hdqtrs and has been ever since j edgar’s days. most likely an irish pub type one at that.
“There is something terribly serious happening here. A major national party becoming the tool of a hostile foreign government.”
craig, happening? becoming? that train has already left the station.
With so much swirling around and around, like tornadoes twisting and turning, churning up dirt and debris, making it hard to have a clear vision of the landscape. Timelines are plotted, showing obstructions in several places. Congress critters with clear ties to Russia and the KGB/SVR/FSB/GRU are doing their damnedest to stop the investigations.
I guess there are several investigations going on at once, not only the campaign tied to Russia, but also other investigations such as money laundering by several of the SFB clan, including the top. Other investigations might be focused on the people like Nunes and Rohrabacher, plus several others. Possibly looking at security issues along with money issues. We know New York has investigations going on for at least Kushner and SFB. Maybe Ivanka is being looked at too.
Due to the size and scope of what this bunch of crooks (alleged) are doing it will be multiple interweaving investigations, most likely by multiple agencies within DOJ and other enforcement agencies, that will produce the indictments. Keep in mind that Mueller alone has several grand juries in various districts. Others might have those working too.
It would be fun to watch dozens of indictments hit at once. That would at least bring some relief to a bad time.
bbronc, add to the many investigations of skullduggery the truly heinousness of rigging the camel contest .
talk about putting lipstick on a pig! oh the inhumanity of it! 🙂
lying presidents, treasonous critters in critterville, faking news bots, botoxing camels,…. what next?
Q.”If Stormy Daniels got $130,000 after Melania gave birth what did she get?”
A. The clap?
Senate Intelligence Committee not given access to Nunes FISA memo
Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr’s staff has not been given access to a classified memo drafted by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, a sign of how closely House Republicans are guarding allegations of Justice Department wrongdoing over surveillance activities in the Russia investigation.
According to three sources familiar with the matter, Burr’s staff requested a copy of the memo and has been denied, just as the FBI and Justice Department have also been denied reviewing a copy of the document. The memo is based on highly classified intelligence that only a select group of House and Senate lawmakers have accessed.
Indeed, the memo was drafted by Nunes, R-California, and his staff, as the chairman weighs whether to hold a committee vote as early as next week calling for the memo’s public release.
The four-page Nunes memo alleges that the FBI withheld information from the FISA court judge who approved warrants on Donald Trump’s team, including former campaign foreign policy adviser Carter Page, CNN has reported.
Democrats on the House Intelligence Commitee are now pushing for the release of their own memo, calling on the panel to allow the full chamber to review their document next week, saying the Nunes memo is “profoundly misleading” and an attempt to discredit special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation. But many House Republicans say the American public would be alarmed by the conclusions in the Nunes memo alleging FBI misconduct.

Justice Dept.: ‘Reckless’ to release Nunes memo without review
Sturg,
The prior time I had attended a service was more than twenty years before that Episcopal service at Ft Leavenworth (excepting weddings and funerals). It was at Kenyon College, an olde Episcopal college in Ohio.
Weekly attendance at a religious function was mandatory; attendance was taken. I chose to attend the Friday night prayer service with the small group of Jewish students. Although I didn’t count towards their minyan, I was respectful and asked permission beforehand stating my basis for the request.
Curiosity is the professional intelligence person’s curse. Everyday I am sent a mystery word from the Free Dictionary. Today’s word happened to be miry. Not seeing it in context, I looked it up. Forget that word.
The trip took me to learning more about Valkyries than I ever wanted to know.
Holy walkout! Davos attendees plan to walkout or just not attend the ‘trump ramming America First down everyone’s throats.’
Pat,
BS sessions among intel people aren’t unusual–but, they take place within the workplace behind locked doors attended only by properly cleared people having documented access to the programs being discussed and a need to know at the current moment. They help in keeping people up to date and focused. I’ve never seen one with more than half a dozen people there–usually less. Otherwise they become meetings which aren’t the same things.
As for the $130,000? I would imagine cohen, lawyer for the sexy payoff, LLC has paid many sums of $130,000. $100K to the lady and $30K to lady’s lawyer.
As for mel? She gets left alone to raise barron. I doubt she has sex anymore with trump. Pure luxury for her and no hubby.
BW, good for them!
Poobah, just for you. Local Restaurant picks in the Orlando area from Open Table. And if you fancy yourself a foodie….these might be for you.
OK, Bobby, keep going.
Oh, and SFB, no man is an island. Think about that when you’re looking at empty seats in Davos.
BW, I feel sorry for the poor woman and her son; lives lived in isolation/desolation.
Maybe Mueller is getting close to the NY FBI and alleged corrupt office…the secret society of guiliani (his son, andrew, on WH staff) and kallistrom.
From the 2016 Esquire article —
Kallstrom has, like Giuliani, been on an anti-Comey romp for months, most often on Fox, where he’s called the Clintons as a “crime family.” He has been invoking unnamed FBI agents who contact him to complain about Comey’s exoneration of Clinton in one interview after another, positioning himself as an apolitical champion of FBI values. Last October, after President Obama told 60 Minutes that the Clinton emails weren’t a national security issue, Megyn Kelly interviewed Kallstrom on Fox. “You know a lot of the agents involved in this investigation,” she said. “How angry must they be tonight?” “I know some of the agents,” said Kallstrom. “I know some of the supervisors and I know the senior staff. And they’re P.O.’d, I mean no question. This is like someone driving another nail in the coffin of the criminal justice system.” Kallstrom declared that “if it’s pushed under the rug,” the agents “won’t take that sitting down.” Kelly confirmed: “That’s going to get leaked.”
I dislike the ‘experience’ of dining out. The last place I found truly enjoyable was the Playhouse Club in Cleveland. That was many decades ago.
bw, always wondered whether the docs found on the weiner’s ‘puter weren’t planted there by those fbi friends of Giuliani since they were (as reported) copies of emails investigators had already reviewed…. their “discovery” was just too coincidentally timed to affect the election the way it did. also the leaks about it came from ny agents as I remember.
Only ruskies can make the ‘First couple’ smile. mel never looked happier than when dining with putie in Europe (thank you Angela for seating them together) and the commander-in-thief? The day after he fired comey and had the ruskies in for a secret meeting in the oval office.
About those camels – ain’t no way to make a camel look ‘pretty’.
patd, during the election Craig had mentioned that HRC should have gotten ‘rid’ of Huma…her stb ex, weiner? An easy mark, just like the potus. It was said that roger stone set-up weiner with the young girl from NC, he was so easily trolled and trapped. Huma brought down the house and I remember the repug hit job while the campaign was on the plane without the news. When they landed? The election changed.
With regard to the camel? I say smoke ’em, if you got ’em. In my tobacco days? I smoked Camels. No filter. I always liked the package and I wonder if the camel on the label had botox? Good looking pack.
what we have here is a critter on the verge of intentionally harming national security…“extraordinarily reckless” disregard for country’s welfare?
cbs news:
Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd told House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Devin Nunes in a letter Wednesday that releasing a memo prepared by the committee’s staff alleging abuses at the Department of Justice and FBI would be “extraordinarily reckless.”
[….]
“We believe it would be extraordinarily reckless for the committee to disclose such information publicly without giving the department and the FBI the opportunity to review the memorandum and to advise the (committee) of the risk of harm to national security and to ongoing investigations that could come from public release,” Boyd wrote. “Indeed, we do not understand why the committee would possibly seek to disclose classified and law enforcement sensitive information without first consulting with the relevant members of the intelligence community.”
Instead, Boyd, on behalf of the DOJ, renewed a previous request from the FBI director that the department have the opportunity to review the memo in question before any public release. Alternatively, Boyd suggested that Nunes offer the memo to its watchdog, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz.
“His office would appropriately investigate any alleged wrongdoing by the FBI or other department personnel and independently assess whether prior public release of the memorandum would impair its ability to do so,” Boyd said.
Also copied on the letter were Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, R-Wisconsin, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-California, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-South Carolina, Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr, R-North Carolina, and Senate Intelligence Committee Vice-Chairman Mark Warner, D-Virginia.
I watched the nassar sentencing…gut wrenching and it reminded me of sandusky and penn state and the catholic church sex scandals. To me? The focus of sexual abuse should be of young, underage children and teens? Where we need to put 90% of the attention on that aspect of our society. Consenting adults are grabbing the headlines. Adults should have a whole toolset to fend-off or report sexual crimes. But underage, not of consenting age being sexually hassled? Rough go of it without much validation.
Lets see, noonies staff wrote memo that is so full of secret stuff that he can’t share it with the FBI or fellow intel committee members even the head of The Senate committee.
But!!!!!
If revealed it will bust the world wide open and prove that the fears of all right winger conspiracy types totally correct and vindicated.
Yeah that’s totally believable, in a ” look look look shiny shiny shiny ” sort of way
Oh and since nobody has share this with anybody(but it is bad, we know) Has anybody shared it with Noonie
Jack
Mueller has recalled one witness in the trumprussian tower meeting.
Special counsel Robert Mueller called back for questioning at least one person who was involved in the June 2016 meeting with Trump campaign advisers and a Russia-connected lawyer, The Los Angeles Times reported.
The Times further reported, confirming earlier news stories, that Mueller, who is investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, recalled the individual while looking into President Donald Trump’s decision to craft an initially misleading statement about the meeting. Trump’s original statement said the meeting focused on the issue of Russian adoptions, rather than the offer of kompromat about then-Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
nunes is an empty barrel just like the barrels in his fake, ruskie-supported winery.
Is it shark week, yet? Last year during Shark Week, trump was tweeting about junior and the trumprussian meeting.
Stormy’s recollection of the affair with golfer don? Rings true to me. She mentioned he doesn’t drink, but him in his bottoms watching tv? wolff confirms that behavior in the WH, too. trump and sharks? Professional courtesy.

Craig, would it be possible to put the Hamilton 68 dashboard link on the blog spots section?
I noticed ‘dumpdaca’ is trending…to offset what the bloated, potus said to the press before taking-off for Davos.
Dad in ER with stomach ailments and low blood pressure. Making my way down there, so I might not be around here much.
Oh no, Craig. Glad to hear you are going…sending energy.
Sending out good thoughts to your dad. Take Care.
Craig, sounds as if he needs a GI doc asap and perhaps a hematoad. They should have both at his hospital of choice. I been all through that crap. Keeping his blood count up is paramount. You know how to get their attention if he’s not getting the care he wants and needs. Chin up!
Just chillin’…Bald eagles float on ice chunks down ole Mississippi.
Birds are so incredible….magnificent and commuters, too.
BW, But when a lone robin shows-up here in the first week of January when overnight temps were down to 12-deg, I surmise Mother Nature is out there pruning the gene tree.
Best wishes for a quick recovery for Mr. Crawford.
Flatus, Based on what I’m seeing of the forecast up here, I would have to say that the old saying “one Robin does not a Spring make” is probably true.
Flatus…we have had a change in the weather pattern here…nights are much colder because of clear and dry conditions. My bird bath is frozen most mornings…my hummingbird feeder getting ice chunks (I bring it inside to warm), yet the birds keep coming. Birds are the only wildlife I feed and many spend their winters here. Of course, I have the roadrunner who shows everyday…warming or drinking water and perusing the ‘menu.’ Most days I ‘walk’ him out of the yard to keep the other birds safe. He can eat at another yard.
BW, love the eagles vid. Almost surreal.
Is son-in-law going to seek Swiss Asylum?
Craig…. best wishes for your dad! And don’t forget to take care of yourself and Toby.
BlondeW… on Facebook I belong to a private group for residents of my little town. Someone posted a picture of a bald eagle floating on a piece of ice in a local river this morning. We are fortunate to have several nesting pairs around here.
BTW, Flatus, I have a robin family that uses the bird bath regularly. I do like to watch the birds bath in order to keep their feather clean and sleek for rousting throughout cold nights. They really need water.
cranky ass grassley to release junior’s testimony transcripts.
junior…just like papa trump, uses federal services like they are his own…back in September 2017, junior dumped the secret service to hunt moose in Canada. junior treats the ss like it is his personal security company. Just like the fbi should protect trump, his own private police force.
I’m exceedingly fortunate in having swamp cyrilla in our backyard. These wonderful trees provide the winter rations for the normal dwellers in Kumcho’s forest. Would that they would grow beyond their relatively narrow Stateside range.
We have a small creek that the birds frequent. There are also feral cats. I put-out bird baths but, despite the cats, I almost never see birds using them. Oh, well…
Birds in Kumcho’s forest. How beautiful, a wonderful phrase…someone should write a song or poem about it.
The owls are also back…for the past week I have heard the cooing and hooting on the roof. I have seen them in the light from the skylights at night…a silhouette of magnificence. I think of Jamie when I hear the owls…her spirit animal.
Thanks, all, I could use the break from chasing Russians anyway. Carry on. Your thread posts would be most welcome next couple of days.
Never-trumper kristol in the news again. tucker c., an ethno-nationalist.
kristol son’s, joseph, works for tom cotton, another ethno-nationalist with a hearing problem. And kristol’s son-in-law? From the link…gps fusion started here —
Matthew Continetti, the editor of the neoconservative website Washington Free Beacon, wrote in a letter posted online just after 7 p.m. on Friday that the Free Beacon hired Fusion GPS during the Republican primary to do research on Republican candidates. That research kicked off what became known as the “dossier” used to smear Donald Trump.
The Washington Free Beacon is funded by New York hedge fund manager Paul Singer, who backed Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) in the Republican primary, and was vigorously opposed to Donald Trump.

Justice Department: We’ve found some missing text messages
The Justice Department now says it has recovered some of the missing text messages between two FBI officials who have become a focus for Republican charges of bias in the FBI.
cnbc:
Months of missing texts found from former special counsel agent, DOJ says
Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s office “succeeded in using forensic tools” to recover messages between former special counsel team member Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page.
Strzok was reassigned from Mueller’s team following the discovery of anti-Donald Trump messages he traded with an FBI lawyer.
President Trump has fumed about the missing messages and has said they represent “one of the biggest stories in a long time.”
Last month, Mueller requested all of the emails from cambridge analytica.
gates, bannon, mercer, parscale, kushner, et al….all part of the data heist portion of the ruskie investigation. Indictments for data crimes against America? I am looking forward to this part of Mueller’s investigation…the other stuff is like former mafia investigations, but data crimes? Real meaty and futuristic stuff. How we combat this type of crime going forward? The real essence of democracy in the digital age.

Justice Department ‘has FOUND and is recovering some’ of the 50,000 missing text messages between the Trump-hating FBI lovers
The Justice Department has started to recover missing text messages between two FBI officials who expressed an anti-Trump bias, Fox News reported
The department last week revealed a critical gap in messages between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page
Strzok is a counterintelligence agent who worked on Hillary Clinton ‘s email case; Page worked with Strzok on the special counsel investigation into Russia
Texts between the pair from December 14, 2017 to May 17, 2017 are missing
Time frame covers the transition to the beginning of special counsel probe
Attorney General ordered a probe and said ‘we will use every technology available to determine whether the missing messages are recoverable’
Trump called it ‘one of the biggest stories in a long time’ in a Tuesday tweet that noted the missing messages were ‘all in prime time. Wow!’
The White House then said the scandal may point to ‘possibly illegal behavior’ and the president believes it is of ‘great cause for concern’
wapo: Arguments begin in emoluments suit against Trump
Attorneys for the District of Columbia and Maryland argued in federal court Thursday that by conducting private business transactions with other states and foreign embassies, President Trump has violated the Constitution and raised questions about whether his loyalty could be bought.
“By accepting emoluments, the president creates a constitutionally prohibited market for presidential influence,” said Steven Sullivan, an attorney representing Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh (D), referring to the payments Trump’s company receives through its hotels and other businesses.
That, he said, “puts the state and the District in an intolerable dilemma, which is either pay to play” or risk that others might be paying to gain the president’s favor.
[….]
“The theory underlying the clause, informed by English history and by the Framers’ experience, is that a federal officeholder who receives something of value from a foreign government can be imperceptibly induced to compromise what the Constitution insists be his only loyalty: the best interest of the United States of America,” the filings said.

Turns out Dad’s ailment apparently is only a bladder infection. But when you’re 90 this stuff is serious.
All the best to your father, Mr Crawford.
Sending positive thoughts to Mr Dad for a speedy recovery.
Holy amnesty, Batman, SFB supports path to citizenship for 1.8 million undocumented immigrants. Now who would ever have guessed that? (Of course it stands the chance of a snowflake in hell when it gets to the House, so it’s a pretty safe offer – I put it into the “wink and nod” category).
And this one is beyond hilarious. In response to a request by SFB & Melanoma for a Van Gogh, the Guggenheim curator offered “an 18-karat, fully functioning, solid gold toilet — an interactive work titled “America” that critics have described as pointed satire aimed at the excess of wealth in this country.” But they already have one of those don’t they?
Glad to hear they ID’d the problem and it’s one that a blast of antibiotics and lots of liquid should take care of.
Give our love to Dad, and keep a little for yourself, too.
Bladder infections can be painful, too. More water and more water…which brings me to this sad story.
Capetown to run out of water by April of this year. While the mega wealthy dine in Davos and oh and ah over tax cuts in America? Macron taunts trump over climate change. The continents in the southern hemisphere are affected more by climate change than their northern counterparts. Forget about mentioning poverty and the gap between the 1% and the rest of the world. It is all about the money at Davos.
trump had ordered Mueller fired.
From the NYT
Amid the first wave of news media reports that Mr. Mueller was examining a possible obstruction case, the president began to argue that Mr. Mueller had three conflicts of interest that disqualified him from overseeing the investigation, two of the people said.
First, he claimed that a dispute years ago over fees at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Va., had prompted Mr. Mueller, the F.B.I. director at the time, to resign his membership. The president also said Mr. Mueller could not be impartial because he had most recently worked for the law firm that previously represented the president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Finally, the president said, Mr. Mueller had been interviewed to return as the F.B.I. director the day before he was appointed counsel in May.
Donny two sticks threatened to resign.
