even tho’ this is about Brexit, it may also eventually plays into the trump Russia thingy.
the guardian:
A leader of the Leave.EU campaign suggested sending a “message of support” to the Russian ambassador after the then foreign secretary made a speech that was critical of Russia, documents seen by the Observer suggest.
The material also appears to show that Andy Wigmore, spokesman for the Leave.EU campaign and the business partner of Arron Banks, the biggest funder of Brexit, passed confidential legal documents to high-ranking officials at the Russian embassy and then denied it to parliament.
The documents related to George Cottrell, an aide to Nigel Farage who was with him on the campaign trail for Donald Trump in July 2016. Cottrell was arrested by the FBI and charged with 21 counts of money laundering, bribery and wire fraud.
Damian Collins, chair of the culture, media and sport select committee, said that Banks and Wigmore appeared to have misled parliament and “what we really need to know is why”. He added: “It makes you question whose side they are on.”

Dem congressman: Family separation ‘on all of us’ https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/17/politics/beto-orourke-family-separation-cnntv/index.html
Happy Father’s Day, if our government hasn’t kidnapped & traumatized them.
I don’t have a picture of my father to post (no scanner.) He was a great father and died way too young at 62. He had a heart attack on the teacher’s picket line – the first strike, the first day of the strike. When the New Democratic Coalition read the names of the Vietnam war dead from communities – he was the one to stand in the town square in Canton, Ohio and read the names from Stark County –surrounded by police in riot gear and bomb trucks.
He was a stand-up guy.
He would be 102 this year

Prominent Democrat makes urgent plea to end family separations: ‘It’s on us all’
Ted Cruz challenger Beto O’Rourke says nation will be judged on whether it takes action against ‘un-American’ policy
Responsibility for the separation of children from parents at the US border is “on all” Americans, a prominent Texas Democrat said on Sunday, Father’s Day, and “not just the Trump administration” which has implemented the controversial policy.
“I’d like to say it’s un-American but it’s happening right now in America,” said Beto O’Rourke, a US representative, who in November will challenge Ted Cruz for his Senate seat. Speaking to CNN’s State of the Union, he added: “It is on all of us – not just the Trump administration. This is on all of us.”
[….]
O’Rourke organized a Father’s Day march to Tornillo, Texas, to what has been described as a “tent structure” for 16- and 17-year-olds detained at at the border. Some there had crossed the border on their own, O’Rourke told CNN. Others had made the journey with their parents and then been forcibly taken from them.
Those minors were now in Tornillo, he said, “with no idea no idea when or if they will see their mothers or their fathers, on this Father’s Day, again”.
“This is inhumane,” O’Rourke said, adding: “We will we be judged for what we do or what we fail to do now.”
Earlier this week O’Rourke’s November opponent, Cruz, defended the Trump policy, saying: “When you see reporters, when you see Democrats saying, ‘Don’t separate kids from their parents,’ what they’re really saying is don’t arrest illegal aliens.”
Speaking to reporters at a Republican convention in Texas on Saturday, Cruz said: “There’s no doubt that the images that we’ve seen of children, and children being separated from their parents, are heartbreaking. They were heartbreaking when Obama was president.
“I visited the Obama camps that he set up to detain little boys and little girls who crossed the border illegally. Illegal immigration produces human tragedies that are wrong.”
On Father’s Day, Republicans tweeting messages about their fathers while backing or staying quiet on the Trump separation policy were prey to accusations of hypocrisy. Cruz tweeted a tribute of his own, writing: “My dad has been my hero my whole life. Here’s to wishing a very happy #FathersDay to all the dads out there!”
One Republican congressman from Texas, who visited the Tornillo camp, said on Saturday it was “a symptom of a flawed strategy”.
“In the land of the free and home of the brave we shouldn’t use kids as deterrence,” Will Hurd said.
Jace, thanks for the superb music this morning!

I wonder if the condom’s husband is planning a divorce. He must roll his eyes whenever he looks her. I wonder if they are even living together. I heard she and Rudy G were kind of a couple or maybe she just whispers in his ear what to say
Well, Melania is using the children, too.
She hates to see the kids separated from their parents & hopes Dems & Republicans cane work together for immigration reform.
WRONG TWEET, LADY!
It should read that you hate to see the children separated from their parents and they should IMMEDIATELY be reunited with their parents & that the KIDNAPPING & TRAUMATIZING of children BY THE U.S. GOVERNMENT should STOP NOW!
I was suddenly uprooted at 5 by adults that I knew, so I can’t imagine ho much more horrible it is when strangers do it to you.
SHAME ON EVERY MEMBER IF CONGRESS WHO REMAINS SILENT BECAUSE THEY ARE AFRAID THAT TRUMP MIGHT COST THEM THE NEXT ELECTION.
SHAME ON NIKKI HAYLEY FOR SIDING WITH OUR ABOMINATION IF A PRESIDENT, RATHER THAN SIDING WITH THE CHILDREN, AS THE UN HAS DONE.
SHAME ON ANYBODY CARRYING OUT THESE ATROCITIES AGAINST CHILDREN.
Wow, that’s e video of Dems trying to gain access to a privately-run internment camp in Elizabeth, NJ is nothing short of horrifying.

About damned time. A little celebrity spotlight in the problem might get Critterz’ attention.
I am not a licensed health care professional. But, I do teach AP Psychology, and thus know something about the trauma these children (and their parents are going through as well as the long-term issues separating young children from their parents in this manner will create.
Two things:
1. There is a special place in hell for these people who traumatically tear young children from their parents – endangering the parental / child attachment and bonding process (in a foreign country)
2. If the only way we, as a country, can enforce our immigration laws, is by kidnapping children from their parents -= we don’t deserve this country.
Now, they are targeting legal residents, like a green card-holder who has been here for 50 years, confiscating his driver’s license & green card as property of the government. Morning in America or Nazi Germany?
newsweek:
Attorney Michael Avenatti blasted Senior Advisor Stephen Miller for having “sold” President Donald Trump on his “fascist” immigration policy that has separated thousands of children from their parents at the border.
The lawyer representing pornstar Stormy Daniels took to Twitter Sunday to offer his representation of any parent who was separated from their child at the U.S. border. Avenatti tweeted out the Spanish word “Basta,” meaning roughly “enough” or “stop it” in English, as he ridiculed Miller’s callous and self-congratulating defense of Donald Trump’s immigration policy in a New York Times report.
“If anyone knows of a parent that has had their child taken from them at the border and not returned, please have them contact me as I am entering this fight. This outrageous conduct must be brought to an immediate end. #Basta,” Avenatti tweeted Sunday, following an appearance on MSNBC’s “AM Joy.”

FBI agent removed from Russia probe for anti-Trump texts says he’s willing to testify before Congress
The FBI agent who was removed from the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election for sending anti-Trump texts intends to testify before the House Judiciary Committee and any other congressional committee that asks, his attorney said in a letter made public Sunday.
Peter Strzok, who was singled out in a recent Justice Department inspector general report for the politically charged messages, would be willing to testify without immunity, and he would not invoke his Fifth Amendment rights in response to any question, his attorney, Aitan Goelman, said in an interview Sunday. Strzok has become a special target of President Trump, who has used the texts to question the Russia investigation.
Goelman said Strzok “wants the chance to clear his name and tell his story.”
“He thinks that his position, character and actions have all been misrepresented and caricatured, and he wants an opportunity to remedy that,” the lawyer said.
If Strzok were to testify publicly, the hearing could be explosive, perhaps exposing new details about investigators’ thinking on some of the FBI’s most high-profile probes.
[….]
Goelman said he had not discussed any dates with lawmakers on when Strzok might appear at a hearing. Politico reported that House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) had started the process to subpoena Strzok, though Goelman said that the lawmaker had done so without having asked whether Strzok might appear voluntarily.
Goelman, who is with the firm Zuckerman Spaeder, wrote in a letter to Goodlatte that a subpoena would be “wholly unnecessary.”
“Special Agent Strzok, who has been fully cooperative with the DOJ Office of Inspector General, intends to voluntarily appear and testify before your committee and any other Congressional committee that invites him,” Goelman wrote.
[…]
Goelman said that if asked to testify, Strzok “intends to answer any question put to him, and he intends to defend the integrity of the Clinton email investigation, the Russia collusion investigation to the extent that that’s a topic, and his own integrity.”
He said there was “no question” that Strzok regrets sending anti-Trump messages, but added: “I think what he was doing is expressing his political opinions in what he thought was a private text conversation, and he regrets that this has been weaponized by people with political motivations to try to discredit the Mueller investigation.”
Goelman said that Strzok was not willing to use his official position to affect Trump’s chances of being elected and that “his political conviction that a Trump presidency would be disastrous for American national security is not based on his bias, it was based on information that was available to him, and his perspective on American national security.”

The Donald J Trump Happy Concentration Camps for Kids are mostly privately owned prison companies and apparently, SFB is a stock holder….does anyone know if this is true
Why do Melania’s tweets now start with, “Mrs. Trump says…”
Is she being held against her will?
Apparently Mel made a private trip to NYC and it is unclear if she returned for the fat, old man’s birthday oh right and bald too
crackers – I tried a search of Southwest Key the other day & came up with nothing. The name on one of the internment camps, Casa Padre, is Orwellian.
These children now have abandonment issues. It can’t be in-done. It’s been a long time since I was 5, but I still deal with it…and this atrocity at the border has definitely triggered it, again.
I’m worried about some of my friends and relatives, too. If they look a certain way & have a last name the fits the profile, are they going to be harassed even though they, their parents, and their grandparents were born here?

Even Trump must think it is a bad idea because he refuses to accept responsibility for it or he is senile
speaking of immigration and parents, here’s an analysis back this February in wapo that needs some up dating.
What’s the immigration status of Melania Trump’s parents?
Let’s see how this one goes. So far three posts have failed to do anything.
One of the hardest things to do on this day of Father’s Day, is for those of us who had the opposite happen; is to get excited. Many of us did not get the best of dad. We survived. Looking back and thinking of those times he tried his best to be a good dad, we know he was not. I do know that he thought he was doing his best. The good thing is that I broke that pattern.
When you learn about your father’s father, and you learn modern psychology you put it together. The hardest part is to stop the abuse.
He’s dying of cancer. Now, he’s the first patient to go to trial to argue Roundup made him sick https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/17/us/monsanto-roundup-dewayne-johnson-trial/index.html
