Trump and Putin finally stopped pretending. The “deal” is exactly what it sounds like: force Ukraine to surrender and call it peace.
Zelensky said the quiet part out loud yesterday. They’ve been given a week to choose between “our dignity” and the U.S. partnership they’ve relied on since 2022. It’s not subtle. It’s extortion wrapped in diplomacy.
Here’s the uncomfortable truth: this is where the road has been heading for months. For reasons nobody can explain without needing a shower, Trump is handing Ukraine to Putin. Not negotiating. Not mediating.
Handing. It. Over.
Europe is all that stands in the way. They know it. Washington knows it. Moscow knows it.
Brussels will put out its counterproposal today. That’s the hinge. Either Europe builds a spine big enough for two continents… or Putin gets exactly what he’s wanted since 2014.

First up is Ukraine. It appears that puttie talked to krasnov. Which means President Zelensky needs to helicopter in and convince stupid to keep what little the U.S. is contributing to Ukraine.
Second is the mystery that is Rep. Greene. I have seen so many twits, FB comments, and other sites social media out bursts, all trying to state why she is retiring. One side says she is running for senate and wants a quiet period. One side says she is setting up a grift. One side says she is being driven out by (name your bad person/group). One side says she is going for full retirement and doing something else. There are a lot more major sides to the multi-faceted block, and a lot of sides that combine with others. All of which is we do not know why she is retiring. At some point she or one of her confidants will let us know.

That’s a nifty summation for courts vs Trump administration, Jamie. Nothing short of the rule of law itself is on the line now.
Jamie – I won’t hold her leaving at five years as a real problem. She is far from the first and far from the last to do the planning. It is a bit of confirmation she wants to quiet her name before running for another office. I am not sure she can get paid yet, she may not be old enough. I am curious how she continues her image change from howling monkey mangomoron cheer leader to moderate talking about issues in real terms.
Looking forward to more elections is the issue of support from stupid. We just saw that is not a good thing, at any level of elected position. Getting herself out of the spotlight, taking her name off the front page, doing background work to become something other than a nasty fool, that is going to be interesting.
