A Declaration of Grievances

When the power of the presidency becomes the possession of one man, the Republic is no longer truly self-governed.

When loyalty is demanded rather than earned, and dissent is punished rather than answered, freedom becomes little more than a rumor.

We therefore set forth these grievances against the regime of Donald J. Trump, not as partisans, but as citizens defending the common trust—the Constitution, the rule of law, and the enduring promise that no person shall be king in this land.

• He has threatened criminal prosecution and imprisonment of political opponents.
• He has targeted universities and students to suppress protected speech and political expression.
• He has menaced law firms and independent counsel for representing clients opposed to his interests.
• He has threatened judges with impeachment for rulings that cross his will.
• He has ignored Congress, openly challenged its spending authority, and lawlessly redirected public funds for purposes never authorized.
• He has punished states that opposed him politically by withholding critical federal support.
• He has subverted the electoral process by weaponizing federal authority to influence partisan voting maps.
• He has purged thousands of career civil servants, replacing independent public service with absolute political loyalty.
• He has accepted prohibited gifts, favors, and foreign financial benefits in open violation of the Constitution’s Emoluments Clauses.
• He has sought to strip birthright citizenship from American soil by executive fiat, defying the plain language of the Fourteenth Amendment.
• He has deployed federal troops into American cities over the explicit objections of state leaders.
• He has claimed unilateral authority to impose sweeping, punitive tariffs without congressional approval.
• He has summarily removed inspectors general charged with investigating administration misconduct.
• He has actively defied and resisted the lawful authority of the federal courts.
• He has permitted members of his immediate family to pursue lucrative foreign business interests while holding public trust.
• He has assumed unilateral authority to commit American forces to foreign conflict and wage war without the constitutionally mandated declaration of Congress.

Therefore, We Affirm

That government belongs to the governed—not to those who govern.

That no person may place himself above the law.

That power without accountability is but another name for tyranny.

We protest not as radicals, but as neighbors.

We gather not to overthrow our Republic, but to remind it of its founding promise.
