Trumps latest reason for not revealing his taxes: They would be too hard to understand. I’m sure Warren would be more than happy to analyze them for anybody in the general public who didn’t have their own accountant.
A lot of dead people from the bombings and a lot of people left alive with terrible wounds and illnesses. Mourning the dead and wounded is appropriate and learning not to do it again is the most valuable lesson
The Republicans and the media enablers should be horrified that Trump is their nominee instead they are pleased as punch
The media fantasists are disgusting lazy slobs especially the ones covering Trump/ The women especially
There is no fact checkin on his statements he is a serial liar and no one seems to mention that fact. If he gets elected it
will e because the “free media” failed to do their jobs
No one looks good with Trump’s butt imprinted on their face

The major nuclear powers have perfect understanding of the first use of strategic nuclear weapons against them or their treaty partners. It’s a familiar concept called mutually assured destruction; if not by the blast effects, by the magnitudes-greater after-effects. In the case of outlying states, it’s simply that you will be destroyed. The genie isn’t going back into the bottle.
Bernie and his letter of whatever. He who lives by the Rules dies by the Rules.
Madam Chairperson. Mr Frank, you have a motion? I move to suspend the Rules. All in favor? The Ayes have it. Madam Chairperson, I move to deny the request made by Mr Sanders’ attorney. All in favor? Motion approved.
Any other new business?
Suspending the Rules works if you have a majority.
Malloy’s office referred questions on the governor’s convention role to the Connecticut Democrats, which said Malloy can wear two hats.
“Nothing here has changed. Governor Malloy has been and will continue to be a strong supporter of Secretary Clinton, but has said throughout this process, he will advocate for a process that is fair and a platform that stands in stark contrast to the hateful, divisive and dangerous policies of Donald Trump,” said Leigh Appleby, a state party spokesman.
important to emphasize what Bernie said in the above maher interview starting at 5:47 minutes in when bill poses that some think trump is crazy and Bernie responds “i do” and adds at 6:09 “….trump is a pathological liar. I don’t want to be malicious but that is just the damn truth and he would be a real danger to the entire world.”
Read the entire Bernie letter. Upshot. We don’t like these guys because they don’t play nice with us. Sanders should know as well as anyone that if you hang around long enough in politics you will make enemies. Obviously he’s made some.No basis for action by the DNC. Just an attempt by Sanders to throw something on the wall and see if anything sticks. Waste of perfectly fine legal paper.
the daily beast referenced rather lurid stuff from “the 1993 book Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump.
The book, by former Texas Monthly and Newsweek reporter Harry Hurt III….”
that was last july yet nothing much since then has been mentioned about it or its credibility. seems to me media have been intimidated by (as quoted in that article) his lawyer’s threat:
“I will make sure that you and I meet one day while we’re in the courthouse. And I will take you for every penny you still don’t have. And I will come after your Daily Beast and everybody else that you possibly know,” Cohen said. “So I’m warning you, tread very fucking lightly, because what I’m going to do to you is going to be fucking disgusting. You understand me?”
“You write a story that has Mr. Trump’s name in it, with the word ‘rape,’ and I’m going to mess your life up… for as long as you’re on this frickin’ planet… you’re going to have judgments against you, so much money, you’ll never know how to get out from underneath it,” he added.
jace, well not entirely wasted since it gets Bernie a lot of free press for the next few days. maybe all the way to the convention if you add in the responses now necessary from barney frank and gov malloy, the rebuttals and the various gnashing of teeth by mojo, todd and co.
You made me a pallet on the floor
Oh, yes, you made me a pallet on the floor
When I had no place to go you opened up your door
And you made me a pallet on the floor
I was broke and so dissatisfied
I was broke and so dissatisfied
I was broke and dissatisfied and I nearly died
Then you made me a pallet on your floor
Oh, yes, you made me a pallet on the floor
You made me a pallet on the floor
When I had no place to go you opened up your door
And you made me a pallet on the floor
I don’t want to see this town no more
Don’t ever want to see this town no more
But if I ever do it’ll be on account of you
Because you made me a pallet on your floor
Oh, yes, you made me a pallet on the floor
You made me a pallet on the floor
When I had no place to go you opened up your door
And you made me a pallet on the floor
So don’t turn a stranger from your home
Don’t you ever turn a stranger from your home, oh no
Don’t turn a stranger from your home
For a day may come when you’ll be roamin’
Looking for a pallet on the floor
You maybe looking for a pallet on the floor
You maybe looking for a pallet on the floor

The DNC has given Bernie too much. They screwed up when they conceded 6 seats to Clinton’s 7 on the platform committee without placing GTFO conditions on that. An appropriate response IMHO is something like “Fu@# you and the horse you rode in on.”

They probably reveal what a shallow human being he is by exposing that his primary business is tax avoidance at the expense of the lesser 99-percent.
What is so shameful in the paid speeches Hillary made?
What is so shameful in those emails of Hilary’s that were deleted?
Bernie isn’t just pushing for his own ego (of course, everyone running has a big ego), but he’s also fighting for a cause. He’s giving voice to the people. He’s outing the corrupt system to any and all who will pay attention.
Just had a visit from someone I hadn’t seen in over a dozen years. She lives in Florida, she’s in her 80s, and, she thinks Hillary is “immoral.” No interest in seeing a woman prez if Hillary is that woman. So, of course, we had a wonderful afternoon. 🙂
He’s a huckster and a fraud, that’s not in question. Question is do they applaud the fraud or do they scold the fraud………nooooooo, BAD fraud…….
i must applaud the fraud which rendered the GOP wahh-ing in the corner like the bunch of dangerous fumble-fuck adolescents they are.
i didn’t want Bush II for much the same reasons I don’t want Trump……successful or not, those two little cheerleader hitting-a-triple rich-kid charlatans are being rewarded for being who they are. That’s demeaning to what one would like America to stand for.
Sitting in the air conditioned air, the last three days are the first time this year the A/C has been run, I am trying to cool down from mowing the lawn (aka weeds). Although we have not had rain for three days, the water is still flowing along the natural channel, aka my backyard. I will endorse my Toro mower for all the pain it has suffered and for how it still sort of starts and almost runs smoothly. It is three years old and almost worn out. Out west we would still consider it new. Here, ready for a new lawn mower am I.
A three day weekend is a nice thing. I can even plan on rain tomorrow night and through Monday. Sometimes I go to the Navy Memorial in D.C. Sometimes I stay home. One thing no more, because the grave yards are not close, I and family would go to graveyards to put flowers on the graves of those killed in service to our country.
I sometimes wonder who would commit troops more readily to fight, maybe for our country, maybe not. Hillary? Trump? I usually think Trump because he has no “stop and think” button. He would never allow a no sayer in his midst. Hillary knows what holding the reins of power means. And the horror that happens when the U.S. military is unleashed. Even now it is fighting, though you might not know it. Censorship causes a lot of ignorance.
Just another example of how Wall Street and the large multinational corporations run the United States government including Obama and Congress. The Free Market in action. There is nothing Free about it. It is controlled or Managed Market by Wall Street and the large multinational corporations.
Novartis is not even a United States company! Novartis International AG is a Swiss multinational pharmaceutical company based in Basel, Switzerland, ranking number one in sales (57.9 billion US$) among the world-wide industry in 2013.
Colombia wants to produce Novartis’s leukemia drug imatinib under a compulsory license, something it is allowed to do under its trade agreement with the USA, to bring the price down from $15,161/year (double the annual average income) to prices like those charged in India ($803/year).
This is totally legal, and the government has only taken the step because Novartis has refused to come to the table to negotiate. But that doesn’t mean Novartis has sat on its hands: ever since Colombia announced this plan, the Swiss and US governments have been leaning on the country.
Most recently, a top Orrin Hatch staffer from the Senate Finance Committee went to the Colombian embassy in DC and threatened to yank America’s $450M in support for Paz Colombia, the peace process that offers the first hope in decades for stability in a country where America has fought a vicious, high-casualty proxy war on drugs.
Bernie Sanders and Sen Sherrod Brown (D-OH) have written to the US Trade Rep, demanding that they cut this shit out.
But the meetings at the Colombian embassy have sparked protest from some Democratic lawmakers. Yesterday, 15 House Democrats fired off a letter to Froman to complain. And in their own missive, Sanders and Brown wrote that the warnings given to Colombian officials contradict the rights that countries have under a World Trade Agreement to issue compulsory licenses.
The lawmakers also noted that an existing trade agreement between the US and Colombia reiterates this right. “Attempts to dissuade Colombia … would be inconsistent with the goals of these agreements and would signal that the US is not committed to living up to the standards of our free-trade agreements when it does not suit corporate interests,” they wrote.
In one letter, a Colombian embassy official wrote that while Novartis is not an American company, the US pharmaceutical industry is “very worried” the Gleevec case may become a precedent. US Senator Orrin Hatch, a Utah Republican, has close ties to the pharmaceutical industry, and the US Trade Rep had already placed Colombia on its list of countries that does a poor job of enforcing patent rights.
From an April 27 letter (in Spanish) by Andres Florez, the deputy chief of mission at the Colombia Embassy in Washington D.C., wrote to Colombian Foreign Minister Maria Angela Holguin:
“Given the direct link that exists between a significant group of members of Congress and the pharmaceutical industry in the United States, the case … is susceptible to escalate to the point that it could impair the approval of the financing of the new initiative, Paz Colombia, as well as become an issue in the framework of the free-trade treaty.”
Trumps latest reason for not revealing his taxes: They would be too hard to understand. I’m sure Warren would be more than happy to analyze them for anybody in the general public who didn’t have their own accountant.
Bernie Sanders threatens to derail convention if Barney Frank And Gov Malloy not removed as Chairs.

“Perhaps that’s why they increased the fee to $110 for a DIY application–to spread the depression over a larger base.”
Flatus,
That is not depression being spread over a larger base, it’s resilience. It is an amazing quality as you have shown us day after day.

I don’t think he wants folks to know how much lithium he needs to keep himself even semi-grounded.
Or, deducting the cost of prostituted women and children as a business expense.
He wants to be a fireman. Or a cowboy.
