We had delicious ribeye steaks I reverse seared after 20 minutes in oven. The grilling alternative in cold weather. Tonight it’s half a turkey breast from Thanksgiving that I just thawed.

Happiness to all!

I thought this had been done a long time ago …

Bald Eagle now the national bird.

PatD, i’ve never had roasted plum, sounds good, must look into that. And can’t remember last time i’ve had venison, hardly remember what it tastes like.

Speaking of eating meat, looks like I’ll be taking a break for a little while. My dentist told me on Monday it’s time to get dentures, which I don’t mind. Really rather tired of fighting the tooth decay battle.

Ah the smells of Christmas – never mind I am finally getting over a flu-like thing that killed my smell and taste senses.
Happy Holidays to all.

This always brings back good memories. I always left a bottle of coke out christmas eve. My Mom would drink it so that next morning we could pretend Santa Claus drank it (even after i knew better).

Check out the drone video of the WH decorations. Flying through the halls of lights and holly, fa-la-la-la….

So much good music this time of year

I did notice that.

If you notice your neighbor’s lights are still on after Christmas, it’s not because they’re lazy. They are celebrating a 119-year-old Colorado and Western event.

My mom left them up until Valentine’s Day but it was probably for the other reason.

If you can swing the finances, I recommend implants on at least the lower teeth.  Dentures are a major pain, but the lowers you might as well give up chewing.

Here is a free link to a Herblock Christmas cartoon.  Enjoy.

Thanks Jamie, i’m getting temporaries at first, then evaluate options like that after a few months

Poobah, what Jamie said. I’ve had fillings, caps, crowns and an implant. Had friends with dentures. Implants are the bomb.

My dad’s boss in the hearing ad business was “Pappy” Pierce. Pappy took a yearly vacation in winter to Florida, and on the way home brought Rebecca Ruth bourbon candy for his sales crew. I was a tiny boy, and I got into that candy, the best in the world.  Did it really have proof-alcohol in it? I do not know. But that candy is the best ever.
And Santa with a Coca-Cola? Oh yeah. We left Santa Coke and a plate of chocolate chip cookies.
My best childhood Christmas, 1955…I got a new bicycle.  OMG was I thrilled!
