I love my Calm app, but this sleep story (with the voice of an AI-generated Jimmy Stewart) just sounds off to me. I fell asleep to it last night. It still works to lull you to sleep, but it’s not going to fool anyone; AI isn’t ready to take over yet.
I’m going to miss Apple TV next month, but almost everything is behind a secondary paywall. I do love “Ted Lasso,” though, and this Christmas special from one of the leads was a proper, old-school show.
AI Jimmy Stewart? Sounded more like AI Sean Connery trying to do a Jimmy Stewart Imitation.
“Go home kid, work on it and come back when ya got somethin'”
I’m on the road, headed back home, did Christmas with my sister yesterday and got to see all her grandkids. They are all at that cute stage just before the go to school, adorable little brats darlings.
One of my fun additions to my youtube Christmas play lists.
I’m going to do Christmas tonight with my other sisters and their grown children. ( No grandkids but mom keeps hinting)
With that I will be familied out. Tomorrow, I’m locking the door, turning off the phone and it will be just me, the critters and Mrs Jack in spirit. I’ve got a rack of lamb in the freezer that will thaw quickly, roasted root veggies, glazed brussel sprouts, and a good wine. Maybe some fresh gingerbread for breakfast or a pumpkin pie.
Have a Merry Christmas.
And Pat I’m glad to see that I’m not the only on having trouble keeping track of the days. When you are retired one day is much like the other.
BTW Pat, thanks for all the work you do for this blog.
Hotel housekeeping just knocked on the door so I need to get out of here so they can get their work done early and go home. Time to hit the road,3 hrs to home.
Later

Sturge: thanks, yes, we are (an hour north of Denver) but no, Mr. Ivy hasn’t (had the pleasure of acquaintances with Mr. Ralph or Mr. Lewis.) More to be revealed?
“I got to meet Darlene Love later. She was a guest on (Stephen) Colbert’s show when I was working there. I was thrilled and introduced myself and she grabbed my hand and she said, “I love ‘Christmastime For The Jews’.” So that was the cherry on top.”
This retro-looking Rankin/Bass-style animation combined with a Phil Spector-esque song (sung by Darlene Love) that shows all the great things the Jews get to do while the Christians are away celebrating Christmas. [Season 31, 2005]
Jack, after much debate Mrs. P & I settled on a lamb leg. I’m going to smoke it for an hour, start it on the grill then finish it in the oven. We’ve got our root veggies and spinach as accouterments. And for dessert…probably ice cream. (I love ice cream).
Bravo! Encore! too to Ivy Green’s selection at midnight
the Holiday Pageant produced 10 years ago by SNL
May everyone on the trail have a wonderful day with family and/or friends.

I guess if you’ve never heard Jimmy Stewart before you could think that’s him, but then why would you care? Yes, AI can’t get us yet.-

Another one to get the Christmas spirit flowing.

Ivy are y’all in the Denver area? Ask Mr Ivy if he knows Steve Ralph or Andy Lewis (Bassist and drummer)
today’s meme…
I do miss going door-to-door singing Christmas carols.
This was wonderful listening today on CBS Sunday Morning Christmas edition.

Opening presents
Deepfake tech can be a lot more accurate than that jimmy stewart clip, which wasn’t terrible, the “calm app” just half-assed it
Braids are a good look for you!
Lol @ that book
ok merry xmas to you all, merry Christmas ALL OF UKRAINE
Merry Christmas all. Our favorite, Darlene Love!
My brothers are identical twins. They’ve faked out a lot of people in their time but they’ve never been able to pull a switch on big sis.
Son cooked bread last night in the new gift to the family and tonight he is serving steaks. I am doing swathed in blanket with cats.
Happy holidays to all.
Ivy, just a couple of guys from one or two of the around town music scenes, on the elder statesman side of the hill. Good fellers.

Sturge, thanks, will pass along.
There’s a good local music scene here in FOCO. I know zip about guitars but Mr. Ivy gifted himself with a Godin for his birthday.
Still funny.

Too much fun! Emergency trip to the dentist to glue back a temporary crown that came off during a piece of fruitcake. My dentist is the best❗️🦷❤️🙏
I’d never noticed that bit about the Squirrel and the Moyel.
Which of course leads to this.
felice Navidad, y’all.
