This area is considered by public health experts to be in great danger of becoming one of the next Covid-19 “hotspots” due to the high number of retirees in population and the almost complete lack of public health resources, due to decades of budget cuts by by the conservative Republicans who control the state government. My sister and her husband are both in their mid-70s and he is recovering from recent heart surgery.
