In Denver it is the pollution cloud. For all of us it is the massive and total B.S. spewed out by the illegal president. Much of it is just deflection, tossing everything out that might get a rise out of any cohort, but primarily women, people of any color, Dems, progressives and the media.
The stuff is just to get the fog thick and heavy so we do not see or even think about the massive destruction of America that is occurring. And, we do not realize what a criminal we have as the Russian agent in the WH.
A current example, as of this hour, is “arm the teachers”. What a load of B.S. It will never happen, for many reasons, but it will not happen. That aside many hours are being spent on the analysis of the issue and not much at all about what last weeks Mueller actions mean for SFB. Many interviews of former Marines who are now teaching and why they do not want to see teachers carrying weapons.
There is so much stuff thrown up to the wind every minute that we fail to grasp the significance of the crimes. The vote loser in the WH may not understand what his handlers are doing, but he does go with it because it fits his style, bluster and lie to get the deal.
But, almost nothing will be done. This sh*t storm is not for policy. It is to cover up the crimes happening in the WH and administration. Try to remember what the brown cloud was on December 31, 2017. Or even February 13,2018.

bbronc, good thread topic. usually I would also rail against the fog machine that obliterates the purposeful destruction of our democracy, but it is helpful to goad the twit (and the twit’s devotees) now and then with his past such as did today’s
wapo:
Trump said he would charge a gunman. Here’s what he’s actually done in the face of danger.
[…]
Trump’s detractors call him “Cadet Bone Spurs” for his failure to serve in the Vietnam War though he was of age, and they have some facts on which to ground their epithet.
While 9 million Americans served in the military during the Vietnam War — 1.8 million were drafted — the future president was given five deferments from the draft: four related to his college studies and one for bone spurs in his heel, though the problem was not severe enough to prevent him from playing sports such as football, tennis and golf as a young man.
For years, Trump had explained his lack of service by the luck of a high lottery number.
The year of Trump’s graduation from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, 1968, was the bloodiest for American troops of the war: about 16,900 soldiers were killed that year. By the time the war ended in 1975, 58,000 Americans had died.
In contrast, special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, whose investigation into Russian interference Trump routinely maligns, chose to enlist in the Marine Corps and was deployed to Vietnam to lead a rifle platoon that year, earning two awards for valor and suffering a gunshot wound to his leg.
Decades later, Trump told radio host Howard Stern that avoiding sexually transmitted diseases was “my personal Vietnam.”
“I feel like a great and very brave soldier,” Trump said.

twit’s bravery in the face of danger
Awaiting the morning glory through the poop fog while making coffee with water that contains poop. Life in trump’s Amerika, we don’t need no stinking regulations. It used to be smoke and mirrors, but the trump magic show is cheap and shoddy. Pure bullshit to cover-up crime. Bold as brass crime, too, by a bunch of good fellas stealing from us blindly in pure sight.
Can’t imagine how brown that cloud is over D.C. nowadays… poor Craig must be chokin’…
Sun is shining here. BlondeW… I’ve clean spring fed well water… makes great coffee… I’ll send you some.
Lots to catch-up on today as yesterday was hubby’s 66th birthday. We sinned as much as possible as two old timers can in a day.
I noticed mel is back in the news. The inauguration monies and how it now seems to be about David Monn. Monn did a WH dinner for Obama and that must have infuriated trump. He continue ‘to burn-out the black’ in WH.
Ms. Winston Wolkoff made her name planning society galas in New York, including the Costume Institute Gala, also known as the Met Gala, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Over the years, she worked closely on the gala with the Vogue editor Anna Wintour. Mr. Monn also worked on the gala, which embodies an exclusive vibe that is in many ways incongruous with the messaging to blue-collar voters that Mr. Trump projected during the 2016 presidential campaign.
That discordance attracted notice when Ms. Winston Wolkoff was retained by the inaugural committee, which was led by the California real estate investor Thomas J. Barrack Jr., a longtime friend of Mr. Trump’s.
Mrs. Trump had introduced Ms. Winston Wolkoff to Mr. Barrack, according to a person familiar with the connection. But the decision to hire Ms. Winston Wolkoff was Mr. Barrack’s, said an operative who worked with the inaugural committee.
RebelliousRenee,
The farmhouse where I lived as a kid had a spring. When we moved to town later I couldn’t drink the tap water. Oh, to have spring water again.
It’s maple syrup time. How many here have tasted the sap? Love the scent of the Sugar Shacks.
Bone Spur’s BS isn’t playing with the SCOTUs. He must be fuming about DACA taking so long. Tsar Trumpsky is used to stomping his little foot and getting his way.
A Repug campaign ad in TX is running on a pro-Nazi platform. Hey, he’s saying that his (also Repug) competitor sided with Dems on sanctuary cities calling their ban a Nazi law…which means that this asshat is openly running as a Nazi.
Meanwhile, many companies are demonstrating their ideas for building a wall. Really? Something does need to be done about drugs and crime from the border, but an expensive wall is not the answer.
Notice that Donny called on Gov Abbott since some teachers here are armed and there’s a warning sign in front of the schools to make potential perps think twice. So, put up signs & maybe no teachers have guns & maybe they do. The sign would be the deterrent, not the teacher.
Isn’t it sad that we live in a country where folks feel the need to carry all the time. And if the argument is that they are protecting themselves from our govt, well, the govt has tanks, air power, etc. You can protect yourself from govt with only one thing. Your voice.
As for the brown (brown shirt) fog, Donny can not keep more than one plate spinning at a time, which is why he seems so erratic.
If Moscow is laughing, let ‘em. Let ‘em watch how we fix this and become stronger. They really don’t understand the idea of America.
Eventually, Donny will slip up and tweet something so incriminating (which he & Suckabee will try to walk back as a joke) that he will be removed from office. It might take another year, but it will happen.
Then we get Pence, unless he gets rolled up by Mueller. Then we would get Lyin’ Ryan. Either way, things are looking a bit bluer.
Blue collar vibe? Head inauguration planner, barrack is allegedly under investigation for tax fraud in Italy.
More from the NYT about the inauguration —
An inaugural committee official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the official was not authorized to discuss the details publicly, said Ms. Winston Wolkoff’s firm also paid the team used by Mark Burnett, the creator of “The Apprentice,” whose involvement in the inaugural festivities was requested by Mr. Trump.
From rawstory — In the interim, the president reportedly became “enraged” upon learning that $3.7 million was paid David Monn, a friend of Wolkoff’s.
sj… the sap is running furiously now… looks like a good season. Yup… I too love the smell of the wood burning to turn that sap into maple gold.
Happy birthday to Mr. Wino!
wacky weather — from rueters.
Climate Changes — Snow in Rome and hot air over the north pole. Poop fog descends over US from D.C.
I remember when the breitbart kerfuffle broke-out in 2016 over lewandowski’s assault on a reporter. The staff who quit breitbart over the kerfuffle stated that bannon would cause a ‘turdnado,’ a shit storm on America. We were warned.
I seem to be locked out of Twitter but haven’t received any notice of an action on their part. Sent a message to the powers that be, but not sure how long it will take to get a response. Their help page says you are supposed to get one, but I may have been caught up in their latest troll elimination attempts. Of course I might have insulted the whatever it is in the White House once too often.
Grrrrrrrrr
Hah! Jamie? Another down on the farm, ruskie troll!
It’s really frustrating to not know the cause. Twitter is supposed to notify you if it is their action so I don’t know if it is them, or some other entity being aggravating.
Climage (climate change word mash/urban dictionary def.) affecting Norway seed bank.
(too much birthday yesterday…I might be over hung, dehydrated today, not feeling too good.) Carry-on trail…
Jamie, they probably think you’re a bot. how can someone who tweets sensibly be considered a real person by the very folk who gladly accept nonsense from the twit?
late night comic lols reported by wapo:
Colbert to Trump: ‘What are you going to do, run in there and stab them with your bone spurs?’
[…]
“Sir, we already know how you react to combat situations. You got five deferments from Vietnam. What are you going to do, run in there and stab them with your bone spurs?”
Colbert then suggested that if Trump was “living in a fantasy world,” he should “at least make it interesting.”
The comic then impersonated Trump to offer an example of a more interesting fantasy.
“Even if I had a gun, I would have dropped it just to show how tough I was,” said Colbert-as-Trump. “Then I would have run in and hit the shooter with my laser-beam eyes, then use my mind like Neo in ‘The Matrix’ and fly away to space Mar-a-Lago. Space-A-Lago.”
[….more from seth meyer and trevor noah including this…]
Noah closed the segment with one more reason he thinks Trump would never try to stop a shooting: a story Trump told on the “Howard Stern Show” in 2008.
“He’s also the same guy who proudly tells this story,” Noah said, then played the clip.
“I’ll tell you what happened,” Trump said in the interview with Stern. “I was at Mar-a-Lago, and we had this incredible ball. A man about 80 years old, very wealthy man, a lot of people didn’t like him. He fell off the stage. So what happens is this guy falls off right on his face, hits his head, and I thought he died. And you know what I did? I said, ‘Oh, my God. That’s disgusting.’ And I turned away. He’s bleeding all over the place. I felt terrible. You know, beautiful marble floor didn’t look so good. It changed color, became very red.”
“Really? That guy?” Noah said. “That guy was going to run in and stop a school shooter? Get the f‑‑‑ out of here, man.”
Jamie, I sent you a direct message test on twitter. Seemed to go through.
Craig
It won’t allow me open Messages or my Profile. I can see Tweets and Notifications, but can’t respond to anything.
Yes, BB, and the cloud keeps the media distracted but what can they do? The behavior of this president is such a spectacle it can’t be ignored.
Jamie, you keep odd company. look who was twitterless last month according to the wrap:
Sean Hannity’s Twitter Account Was ‘Briefly Compromised,’ Social Media Platform Says
Sean Hannity’s Twitter account, which mysteriously disappeared for a few hours on Saturday, was “briefly compromised,” according to the social media platform.
“While we normally do not discuss individual accounts, for privacy and security reasons, we have permission from the account owner to confirm that account was briefly compromised,” a Twitter spokesperson told TheWrap in a statement. “We are working with the owner to restore access.”
The temporary deletion of the “Hannity” host’s official account was a top trend on Twitter earlier in the day. As readers might expect, those on the right had a very different reaction to — and reasoning for — all the confusion than those on the left.

Trump tweets quotes backing claim of no collusion with Russia: ‘Witch hunt’
President Trump on Tuesday tweeted a series of quotes arguing there was a lack of evidence showing collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
The president quoted Jonathan Turley and former special counsel Ken Starr, before saying in a subsequent tweet: “WITCH HUNT.”

Have a post for Friday. Wed and Thurs open if anyone so moved.
I do follow Hannity in the interest of keeping an eye on the enemy. Maybe someone aimed at him and missed. either that or Trump finally got around to reading one of my insults ….
Don’ get worse than brown clouds. Media needs a haze filter that can cut through the atomized suspended crap.
Poobah, sent one last night – d’ja get it?
Sturg… just got back from the post office… I finally have it… I finally have Southern Fried in my dirty hands. Can’t wait to dig into it next week.
Tweeting… I say… did some say tweeting… I love birds!
Republicans are prepared to act on guns…
Twit felt terrible for the beautiful, marble floor? Well, we know how he feels about blood from the debate. We know how he feels about his own from those military deferments for a dummied-up reason. BS Bone Spurs.
Watch Donny misunderstand which Barrack is under investigation for tax evasion…and then watch Faux air it in such a way that his supporters think it’s Obama, too. (Tom Barrak & Colony have some interesting stuff on the web; Paradise Papers, Weinstein…)
I’m sure Mueller wants to make sure Donny doesn’t get locked out of his Twitter account. If he hasn’t already incriminated himself, he will; just whip him up enough and he won’t be able to keep himself from running his digital mouth.
jamie- Maybe you have an Oscar post ready???
So, Trumpsky doesn’t want the NSA to disrupt Russian cyber operations against the US. THE COLLUSION CONTINUES!
craig, there are 3 more pending on the dashboard, 1 from pogo and 2 from sjwny aside from the Friday draft. your cup runneth over.
Renee
I got mine the end of last week. Made a big mistake. Put it on the table next to the davenport. Every time I go over to read a story, I take a nap instead
I’ve submitted an Oscar post. The show is on Sunday but that day belongs to Jace. Probably good for anywhere from Wednesday on to talk movies.
Thanks to all for your posts. Got them and will publish in order received.
Jamie, Do you figure an Oscar post will straighten Twitter out??
One of the benefits of getting over a nasty viral URI is you start to feel better after 7 to 10 days. Day seven and I am living with some oxygen getting in the lungs again and much reduced coughing, hacking and wheezing. Don’t ask me to walk anywhere or do anything though.
The other benefit is I tend to stare at things like computer screens or television monitors, brain either asleep or free wheeling. Much of the youtube time has been watching people on their boats going around the world or down to the Caribbean during winter. Today was watching how to remove and install engines in big yachts. Cool stuff, at least what I saw.
Finally decided to check out what is on MSNBC. Not much yet, but at least it is not the brown cloud at this time.
Flatus
It won’t let me publish anything. If I put one up about Oscar, I know of at least three critics that might vote to put me back in jail again since they are intensely fighting over Three Billboards, Shape of Water, and Call Me By Your Name with another heavy contingent for Darkest Hour, Dunkirk, Get Out, and Lady Bird.
I follow them all and it is definitely the season for herding cats.
Apparently the comrades have been invited to play again in 2020 unless we can get Trump tossed out on his ear before them:
2 Denver jokes c. 1982
How do you know you got the Denver Omelette?
By the brown cloud over it.
Denver got a new zoo.
They put a fence around Boulder.
reuters via msn:
Jared Kushner has lost access to president’s daily briefing: sources
WASHINGTON – U.S. President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, has lost access to the most valued U.S. intelligence report, the President’s Daily Brief, as the White House moves to impose greater discipline on access to secrets, two U.S. officials familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.
Kushner, a close Trump adviser who has been operating under an interim security clearance for about a year, had his access to the highly classified briefing cut off in the past few weeks, said the sources.
OK, so now nobody is reading it, cause Trump can’t unless they put it in 20pt type and even then it is boring.
Jack
Jamie
3 billboards, of course it can’t win because it is too close to reality.
I know those folks. How did an Irish writer hit the mark so well?
Only problem was the state of Missouri sending a black cop to be the replacement sheriff . First it can’t happen by law. And second it would never happen. They are even careful where they station their black highway patrolmen. A black cop in charge of a rural MO county would have made a movie all by itself.
Jack
BB
Spot on with your post, the media always gets distracted when it comes to Trump.
Jack
He will find a way for a work-around for Jared. Trump said John Kelly is in charge of all this, but I ain’t buying it. Kelly is owned.
When talking about classified information, this is basically what we need know to be accurate in our discussions. The information is from an unclassified FAQ prepared by the National Archives:
Classified national security information is information created or received by an agency of the federal government or a government contractor that would damage national security if improperly released. Since 1940, the President has managed the system of classifying information by executive order (E.O.); the most recent order concerning classified national security information is E.O. 13526, signed by President Obama on December 29, 2009.
Information can only be classified if an official determination is made that its unauthorized release would damage the national security. Levels of classification correspond to levels of supposed damage. E.O. 13526 specifies that information whose release would cause “exceptionally grave damage to the national security” is classified TOP SECRET; information whose release would cause “serious damage” is classified SECRET; CONFIDENTIAL is the lowest category of classified information currently in use.
Codeword Information. Since World War II, when the British used the word “Ultra” to designate intelligence obtained by cracking the German Enigma encryption machine, the most sensitive types of information of the U.S. government has been identified by special codewords. These include intercepts of encoded enemy radio signals, information about satellite reconnaissance programs, and human intelligence programs. If you see words like “Umbra,” “Talent-Keyhole,” “Ruff,” or “Gamma” on records also carrying a “Secret” or “Top Secret” classification marking, you should realize that you have in your collections something particularly damaging to national security if improperly released, regardless of the age of the records.
If I understand correctly, the SiL will be given access to Secret information without codeword access. He can still do productive work with this level of clearance–he will just not know the source of the information that he is given. It will be “sanitized” by an expert to make it releasable at the Secret level. This is a process that is routinely done for most consumers of intelligence.

too late. Already made that movie. Blazing Saddles.
Free at last. I have been released from Twitter jail and now can go back to joyfully insulting SFB
