It’s Tax Day. How about everyone disclose their returns? ???
One thing we’ve learned about President Trump & the detritus in his orbit: they are factory second human beings. May look OK on the surface but somewhere there is a serious flaw. Hannity always came across as rather pathetic, someone who was a perennial ne’er do well desperate for attention. Donald Trump has a knack attracting & exploiting these hollow people for whatever blood he can squeeze. In return, these sad saps get the realization that Donald J. Trump has no friends, only body counts. They deserve each other.
Not buying into the Trump mob boss comparison. He’s a spider with a web full of not so bright flies. Natural selection here, folks.
Hannity looks like a knock off Lou Costello in that cover photo. Hey Abbbottt, who’s career is over first, what’s the story is the story, where’s the nearest plea deal …
Judge Says Trump and Cohen Can’t Yet Review Materials Seized by F.B.I. A federal judge on Monday held off on deciding who should get the first look at a trove of materials seized in the F.B.I. raids last week on President Trump’s personal lawyer’s office, home, hotel room and safe deposit box. Feeling her way toward a resolution of the high-stakes clash involving Mr. Trump and the federal prosecutors investigating the lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, the judge did not grant requests by Mr. Trump and Mr. Cohen for an exclusive first glimpse at the materials before the prosecution. But she also decided that prosecutors would not immediately have access to materials, either. The judge, Kimba M. Wood of Federal District Court, said she was considering appointing a special master to assist in the review, and that Mr. Trump would ultimately receive copies of the documents that pertain to him. The courtroom battle over what to do with the seized material came one week after federal agents, in an extraordinary move, descended on Mr. Cohen’s properties and walked away with 10 boxes of documents and as many as a dozen electronic devices, including cellphones and computer hard drives. [….] While Judge Wood did not formally rule on which side should get the initial look and said that discussions would continue, she added that she trusted the prosecutors. “I have faith in the Southern District U.S. attorney’s office that their integrity is unimpeachable,” Judge Wood said.

The one impression about President Trump that stays with me is his Studio 54 days. Shallow people, publicity for publicity’s sake, in crowd vs undesirables, women as objects, no moral compass, anything goes, users, used, using. That snapshot in time defines the man.
sj – To that routine I would add, IDK. Plead the 5th.
If this wasn’t so serious, it would be the best show, ever, and it would be titled Plot Twist.
If you ever watch rerun TV (Cozi, ME, Antennae), you’ll notice Trumpsky made a lot of guest appearances. This is Art of Deal/Marla Maples era Trump. I’ll nwcer be able to watch Home Alone 2/NYC, again, without cringing during his cameo.
Of course Hannity claims that since he is NOT a journalist or reporter but only an “entertainer”, he wasn’t required to reveal his relationship with Cohen.
Stormy’s lawyer, Avenatti, was on with Lawrence O’Donnell last night. Avenatti said when the judge told Cohen he must reveal the name of the 3rd client to her, she gave him the choice of writing it on a piece of paper and delivering to her. Avenatti said a good seasoned lawyer would have done that immediately because sometimes the judge will look at the name on the paper and say “I don’t need to reveal this name”. Instead Cohen chose to just blurted out “Sean Hannity” to an open public court.
Should have mentioned this earlier but wow – Kendrick Lamar won a Pulitzer. We tend to fixate on the white world, even the least common denominators amongst us but overlook a truly historic event in African American culture. White peoples’ problems? Aye …. and Black Lives Matter.
SJ, I don’t know Kendrick Lamar’s work, but my kid does. What I do know is that awarding the prize for a rap artist is a huge departure for the Pulitzer. The closest thing to pop that has won in the past was Wynton Marsalis – and that was for a 2 1/2 hour jazz oratorio commissioned by the Lincoln Center.
I don’t watch Fox except for sporting events that aren’t carried elsewhere.
From what I understand, the friendship between Trump, Hannity and Cohen predates Trumps political involvement. And, if that is in fact true, and if Trump and Hannity chose to make Cohen their lawyer cum fixer, so what. What is to show that they jointly conspired against Ms Daniels and/or the People of the United States? Would such a conspiracy involve payment between the principals? I think not.
renee, have a feeling that avenatti is trying to lure cohen & opposition attorneys into filing a defamation suit against his recent talk about their stupidity and about cohen likely being indicted. or is this just la/nyc legalese trash talk?
‘This is not some tin-pot dictatorship’: Comey pushes back against Trump’s suggestion he be jailed
Former FBI director James B. Comey is pushing back against President Trump’s suggestion that he should be jailed, saying in a new interview that Trump’s pronouncements on Twitter pose a “great danger.”
“This is not some tin-pot dictatorship where the leader of the country gets to say, ‘The people I don’t like go to jail,’” Comey told NPR in the latest in a series of interviews to promote his new book.
In tweets Sunday and Monday, Trump alleged, without citing evidence, that Comey had committed “many crimes” and deserves to be jail for leaking classified information and lying to Congress — allegations Comey denies.
@realDonaldTrump
The big questions in Comey’s badly reviewed book aren’t answered like, how come he gave up Classified Information (jail), why did he lie to Congress (jail), why did the DNC refuse to give Server to the FBI (why didn’t they TAKE it), why the phony memos, McCabe’s $700,000 & more?
Comey, who was fired by Trump last year, told NPR that he doesn’t follow Trump on Twitter but sees some of his tweets.
“The president of the United States just said that a private citizen should be jailed,” Comey said. “And I think the reaction of most of us was, ‘Meh, that’s another one of those things.’ This is not normal. This is not okay. There’s a danger that we will become numb to it, and we will stop noticing the threats to our norms.”

Thank goodness for Ms Clifford and her very clever lawyer. They exposed a pattern of corruption and Cohen and his fake clients are going down. It has nothing to do with the Russian probe directly but shows a pattern of paying people for their silence and threatening behavior if they don’t readily agree. Cohen went to Prague to pay people for silence and that has to do with the Russia probe.
The reason the names of the 3 clients was necessary was to establish if Cohen worked as a lawyer not to show any relationship between the clients.

Good morning. I haven’t been here in so long. I hope there are some who remember me. In any case, yesterday was a lovely day on social media. I never thought Sean Hannity could bring such joy to progressives but there you have it. He’s either a client or he isn’t. Either way someone’s lying and it all leads to Trump. As a Canadian, I just perch up here mumbling, “Not my circus, not my monkeys. Not my circus, not my monkeys.” Have a great day everyone! I may post an opinion piece in the next week or two. I’ve been thinking about how all the .. oh let’s say “conservative” parties across the western world are using the same fascist “fear everyone!’ bullsh*t and how they’re all propping one another up. In the meantime, accept these little gems of fun like Hannity cos there aren’t many these days.
Hello Tylenol…greetings to our neighbor from the north! The US of AA has the best circus and monkeys and maybe they can add a northern tour to Canada when they are done tearing down the government.
I don’t know why I think people will change. I only have to look at Mr. Cracker and his sister to know better. They are old (89 and 92) and they have been polar opposites politically their entire lives…and are still willing to put up a good fight.
…still not sure what i’m supposed to glean from the hannity/cohen connection. Hopefully, whatever it is will be juicy and expedite Trump’s exile, but unless his fortune amassed from being a professional disinformation artist and propagandist is wiped out, i can’t attribute much of it to ‘karma’. Fingers crossed, though.
Mel Torme made nine appearances on Night Court as himself for a mutual friendship. Anderson delivered the eulogy for Torme so this seems a good way to say good-bye.
Well that is sad. I am a huge Mel Torme Fan and saw him several times in the Tonga Room at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. I liked Night Court too
Hey there Tylenol! Good to hear from the Montreal express. If Hannity isn’t connected to the Russian probe… and only talked to Cohen about real estate… then he should have nothing to worry about.
Craig… yeah…. plant a popcorn tree in Orlando… where things grow lush and bountiful!
Well, it might have something to do with the Russia probe. How did Cohen fund the shell company that made the payments to Stormy (and the woman in the Broidy affair)? Where did all of that money come from, really?
abc news: Supreme Court strikes down part of immigration law as too vague
The Supreme Court said Tuesday that part of a federal law that makes it easier to deport immigrants who have been convicted of crimes is too vague to be enforced.
The court’s 5-4 decision — an unusual alignment in which new Justice Neil Gorsuch joined the four liberal justices — concerns a catchall provision of immigration law that defines what makes a crime violent. Conviction for a crime of violence makes deportation “a virtual certainty” for an immigrant, no matter how long he has lived in the United States, Justice Elena Kagan wrote in her opinion for the court.
The decision is a loss for President Donald Trump’s administration, which has emphasized stricter enforcement of immigration law. In this case, President Barack Obama’s administration took the same position in the Supreme Court in defense of the challenged provision.
[…]
With the four other conservative justices in dissent, it was the vote of the Trump appointee that was decisive in striking down the provision at issue. Gorsuch did not join all of Kagan’s opinion, but he agreed with her that the law could not be left in place. Gorsuch wrote that “no one should be surprised that the Constitution looks unkindly on any law so vague that reasonable people cannot understand its terms and judges do not know where to begin in applying it.”
Trump has filed for an extension on his taxes. Guess signing his name interfered with his golf or he is still trying to figure out how to get them audited for the next 10 years.
Bink, the Hannity connection is a sideshow. It was an attempt by Cohen to establish himself as a lawyer in an attempt to invoke attorney-client privilege for his SFB documents. It failed. I’ve seen speculation about Hannity getting Cohen to do what he does, but I don’t think that is on the right track. The idjit is not really tied to the SFB investigation unless there’s something out there we don’t know. Here’s teh wrinkle – If I understand yesterday’s hearing correctly Cohen was identifying the 3rd client that he had documents regarding. Based on what Sean said, if Sean is telling the truth (try to wrap your mind around that) there would likely not be any documents related to the advice Cohen gave Hannity. Might get interesting.
Ty, nice to see you back in these parts. Now that the better part of your winter is past, think about sticking your nose in more often.
