Collusion

A court filing says Mueller’s team has connected former Trump deputy campaign chairman Rick Gates to a person with ties to a Russian intelligence service while Gates worked on the campaign.

Obstruction of Justice
NEW from NYT: Trump’s former lawyer John Dowd suggested to Michael Flynn and Paul Manafort’s lawyers that Trump would pardon them if they didn’t work with Mueller.

  1. Gee those almost A list legal beagles are doing good.  Running a mob family is easy compared to having the entire world staring at you.  Add in a few pissed off intelligence community people and all sorts of leaks start flowing out little chunks of things.  At some point indictments will start showing up for the family, and it will be a blast as all the SFB lawyers will be indicted too.

My guess is we will know when the stupid orange rat is going to be taken down is when someone in the media has a copy of the tax returns and an account ready to say he took a Mueller deal to point out the real set of books.

  2. ~~ Sarah Huckleberry Sanders says to press gaggle, “Rick who?” ~~

If Dems take the house in Nov. and if SFB pardons Flynn and Manafort and Dems don’t impeach the assholian I may change my party registration to WTF?

  3. From last thread
    Yes, Bon voyagey……
hoyer…..another wrinkle-ass old white man, no thanks, it’s Nancy all the way to the goal post.
she’s not toxic unless democrats fight for her to be so.

  4. And any toxicity HRC may have picked up ALL came from Democrats…….the republicans couldn’t touch her.

  5. “Democrats”, to be precise.

Aided by Russian infiltration, eternally gullible fence-riders, vote machine manipulation, and collusion.

    With a sprinkle of gerrymandering.

  6. It might be good they stole it……now they’re all out in the open, and everyone not actually deplorable can see them plainly.

theyre going to feather, crash, and burn.

  7. And anyone who keeps fighting the democrat who wins the nomination is a de facto republican, ergo, deplorable.

  8. All of this is getting so delicious that I’m starting to watch bits of cable news again.  At the moment… even Rachel Maddow’s delivery style doesn’t bother me as I catch snippets of her show.

Sturg…  I’ll say it again…  Democrats need to stop taking a knife to a gun fight.  Especially the type that spreads butter on white bread.

  9. Drip, drip, drip.

A federal judge ruled that the District of Columbia and Maryland may proceed with an unprecedented lawsuit against President Trump alleging that Trump’s business dealings have violated the Constitution’s ban on receiving improper “emoluments,” or payments, from individual states and foreign governments.
The ruling, by U.S. District Judge Peter J. Messitte in Maryland, marks the first time that a lawsuit of this kind has cleared the initial legal hurdle — a finding that the plaintiffs have legal standing to sue the president in the first place.

    Ahhh, standing.

  10. Nader and Sanders were about as effective as a turd in the punch bowl

I can expect republicans to vote against their own self interest, thereby electing liars and thugs…..democrats should know better by now.

  11. I always figure I’ll be dead sooner, like so many of my friends; then when I’m not–It’s Gravy

  12. Now this is an attention grabber alright…it’s textbook obstruction of justice.

Yeah, it’s me, the prodigal Night Watchman.  I have been lurking however.  My wife has had major complications from botched knee surgeries ;  I have to drive her back to Cleveland again for yet another check-up.  It’s been a grind on everyone, especially the patient.  She has spent many weeks in three different surgical re-hab units but is home now.

  13. pogo, and ahhh discovery

If the ruling stands, it could allow Racine and Frosh to seek internal documents from the Trump Organization, to determine how much money the Washington hotel has taken in from state and foreign governments.

standing and discovery sounds like the first words in a good grisham mystery book, but  too bad we taxpayers are paying for his lawyers this time.

  14. The Democrats always find a way to snatch defeat out of victory. The Party of Murder Suicide. I’m not placing any bets for 2018 … 2020 … infinity.

I adore Kathy Hochul but am donating to Cynthia Nixon. I loathe Cuomo that much.

(Run away, Kathy, Congress awaits you. Or better yet …. coup d’état against Gillibrand, who never visits New York State beyond the Hudson Valley unless her plane gets lost. Seriously, Gillibrand has no respect for “upstate” & consequently her constituents. Farmers & retail workers matter too. We vote. And have long memories.)

  15. Don’t know ny politics other than the DC ones, and governor/mayor, but I might fall into it if I move to the Catskills to become a Jewish comedian.   Won’t have to work much cause the number of venues is dwindling, I hear…..

  16. Jeopardy – SFB style. 1) Stormy; 2) McDougal; 3) Zervos; 4) MD emoluments; 5) trump name removals (quant unknown); 6) chef(s) (quant unknown); 7) money laundering, states; 8 – ∞) Mueller.

There is so much going on in the investigative arena and courts right now that multiple legal teams are needed.  Not the losers the mob boss has at this moment.  And, there are few legal types, even paralegals, willing to get dirty.  SFB is in deep doodo without competent legal support.  He deserves it.  As a non-person I hope that he gets to enjoy Colorado for the rest of his life.  Even though I have little compassion for Melania (at least until she confesses and absolves herself of her earlier comments and life), I hope she takes the loser for all the gold and none of the losses.

  17. Dearest Sturgeone,

New York’s Senators do not represent their constituents. Only themselves. Schumer loves the spotlight & Gillibrand wants to be the first woman President.

This state has a weird Senate history of carpetbagging: Robert Kennedy, Hillary Clinton … if you’re in with the NYC crowd, you’re in, which explains why anything north/west of the Hudson traditionally goes Republican & is receptive to Independents because we are pretty much ignored by Dems. It’s a silly strategy; better to try & be remembered than not try & never thought about. The old folks are dying off & a new generation is here for the taking. Don’t squeal, but Bernie got that & did quite well in Central/WNY. His people cultivated, reached out. This is a fact. I know. I live here. I saw them. They are neighbors, friends, relatives. Many still have his bumper sticker on their car – honest. I hope that the Dems at least learned how important it is to reach out. Heck, just might bring in new people or bring back old people. Never know if you don’t try. Respond. Respect.

  18. Well, that’s a lot of nice country up there to not be represented……

Course, I’m not much represented here in SC either…..I suppose it goes with the territory….

  19. I do like Ms Nixon…….I’d vote for her.  She’s still a city girl, though……..unless maybe she grew up on a farm in the Adirondacks or something…….

  20. If someone beat out shumer I wouldn’t mind, gillibrand and Cuomo too……

I am weary of politicians passing it down to their children also….

  21. Dexter!

Shulkin (Vet Admin) is gone. I’d like to what know Flatus, BB & others think about this latest exit?

Suckabee called Stephon Clark’s murder a “local matter.”   NOPE.

  22. So, the new guy at the VA is the doc who lied about Trumpsky’s weight?   ~Great~

  23. Pardon every crook in the administration- just get them all out of government ASAP, please.

  24. ”Suckabee”

Did you think that up yourself?  Of course, not.  Very liberal of you, to disparage a woman by mocking the last name she was given at birth.

  25. Not gonna attract many deplorables to the party by calling the poor child “Suckabee”,  das d’trufe.

  26. My view of Shulkin is that he was trying to keep the koch bros from taking over the VA medical under the guise of “privatization”.  Now that the quack who stated fatso weighs less then me is in charge of the VA I expect all sorts of hell to start.

  27. [How cold is it??]

It’s so cold I saw two dogs trying to jump start a rabbit

And then I’ll beat the audience to it by groaning aloud.

I figure I’ll just steal all of Myron Cohen’s jokes……he’s not using them anymore, anyway…..

  28. I am a creature of the ’70s, Bink.

Handy hint: don’t watch Deliberate Stranger after 2am. Alone.

    You’re welcome.

  29. …she’s on the phone with Bill Maher and Kathy Griffin right now, asking for advice.

  30. It’s all good, Sj, my dad couldn’t run to the bar fast enough to retell that one if he had read it.

  31. If Dowd discussed pardons with a third party such as Flynn or his lawyers the attorney client privilege with Trump is waived. Mueller can flip him.

  32. I’m a creature of the 1940s–the early 40s. I woke from dreams of German airplanes flying over our City of Cleveland, of my Uncle Bill never returning from Europe, of playing in the backyard–the game? burning Hirohito’s house down–of shouting Geronimo as I jumped from a limb of the backyard plum tree with a bath towel as my parachute.

I don’t have time put up with the likes of a Trump or a Bernie.

Dex, you and the Missus hang in there–we’re with you.

  33. We just had a lovely lunch with some other retired folks – so leisurely and we found out that each and every one of us gets up every morning and wishes SFB was dead

  34. What about using actual names? These are the names that will be on any legal documents. I’m not afraid of the truth.

The only “bees” I care about either go buzz or sat next to Lloyd Dobyns. (Hello Linda Ellerbee. Man, I loved that show.)

    And so it goes.

  35. As a wee smolt, I happily joined the kids who roved the neighborhood, hunting down and killing Germans. As a scrod, I was the first on the block to hunt down and kill commies. The other kids didn’t even know who the commies were – yet. Oddly, the kids around our house didn’t catch on to the Korean War until after the armistice. By then it was nearly time to bound around killing Vietnamese. But, I was too old for toy guns by then.

  36. check please

nicknames have been a part of American political life since the beginning

  37. So? Actual names are pungent. Using The President brings home the point that this totally inadequate man is completely unqualified yet is The President.  Stuff like “SFB” dampens the impact. Might be humorous to some but reality bites. Harder. This is real. Make it hurt. Bleed. Pain is a great motivator.

  38. nope sticking with the nicknames but to each their own –

    There are no rules.

  39. If you call her Suckabee you insult not only her but an entire group of folks.

It’s no skin off my nose, of course, what she’s called…. Im not the one who postured that you shouldn’t mock or insult deplorables.but try and win them over with respect, empathy, etc.

  40. President Donald Trump & Vice President (Only-A-Heart-Beat-Away) Mike Pence are plenty scary enough, thanks.

Would you rather be a deliberate stranger or a lonesome drifter?

    Enquiring minds want to know.

  41. All those people who think she’s great……but like I said…..I don’t care what she’s called just doing a little devil’s advocacy……and I don’t care if BiD wants to nickname and insult every deplorable out there

  42. I was just giving BiD shit for parroting inanity, ad nauseum, kGC.  Person posts as if they’re the mouthpiece of the liberal movement.  Well, I’m more liberal than not, and I ain’t insulting women by use of sophmoric sexually suggestive nicknames, but that’s my thing, you do you.

  43. BiD posted “Killary” shit, more than once.  That amounts to a deliberate dissemination of disinformation with the aim of influencing the electoral process.  Now, that person is going to rail against the facist administration with (not)clever nicknames?  You see how dangerous it is to let such fools weasel their way back into the good graces of genuine progressives?  Who the fuck do i believe then?

Bear in mind, not one expression of contrition or regret from said person- it’s everyone else’s fault, if you’re to believe them.

  44. SJWNY

I’m with you on Gillibrand.  Her naked ambition kangaroo court (I’ve got the noose where is a handy tree) in the matter of Al Franken was more than a little hard to take particularly with her henchwoman Kamala Harris.  Short of no other option, both are off my potential woman prez list.

  45. Russia helped undermine the integrity of our electoral process on forums like these- you’re on the front lines, right now.  You want weasels in your ranks?  I don’t.

  46. Where’s Sanders, now, anyway?  It was sooo important for us to make him leader of the free world- haven’t heard from him since.  What a leader!

Meanwhile, Warren not only maintains a leadership position, she continues to fight vociferously for progressive policies, despite having to withdraw from the last general election for the good of the party and country.  Dems are looking for a leader?  You got one!

  47. 1. trump found a criminal lawyer in Brunswick, GA. His name is Economu. I don’t know him. The deadbeat pussypincher still has more lawyers handling his sex life than are handling his Mueller problem !

    2. mercer now needs a reeeeaally good criminal lawyer(s)/solicitor(s) : various corruptions of elections in 2014 & 2016, here and in Britain, including money laundering.

    3. Senator thom tillis may be thrown out of the Senate in 2019, for employing foreigners in his campaign and accepting M!LL!ON$ worth of $ecret contribution$, i.e. laundered money. One more set for the Dems to pick up !

    4. It seems to me that Barron looks more like Ms Clifford/Daniels than he does like melancholia. I’m just thinking about Mendeleev’s peas.

  48. Re 9:33 : I’m w/Messers Bink & Pogo.

But, I’m also close to Ms NY : I despise cuomo the lesser especially, and Gillibrand somewhat. However, given a choice between of any republican and Gillibrand or cuomo the much lesser, I’d vote for one of the latter two. I might even do a little work for them.

  49. robert mercer funded both cambridge analytica and The john bolton foundation.

cambridge analytica paid tim glister and other Brits to work illegally on the thom tillis $enate campaign, a illegal contribution of hundred$ of thousand$ or perhaps M!LL!ON$.

The tim glister tv adverti$ement$ were paid for by robert mercer with $$$ he strained through john bolton’$ illegal campaign money laundry The john bolton foundation.

LOCK THEM ALL UP !  HANG ALL OF THEM HIGH !

  50. I like how Mr Crawford goes on, interjecting information that actually pertains to the topic on hand while the rest of us divert to side rails. The little engine that tried ?

Going back a bit but Bink’s suggestion about ammo is interesting.

Any hope in making the phrase “thoughts & prayers” into becoming a verbal lawn jockey? Societal discomfort works wonders at times.

  51. Would you be a Molly Maguire or a Pinkerton?

Breaking law & order for justice or breaking heads in the name of justice for law & order?

A country based not on fact but how one interprets fact.

    Control the interpreters.
