So many confused voters. They’re NOT dumb, just confused.

Now reading the above on X by The Atlantic’s Tom Nichols, who also writes, “Things were better when I was 18,” said the young Black man getting ready to vote for Trump in a deep red state where the Justice Department will cease to exist in a year and where young Black legislators had to fight to be reinstated in their seats.

More Nichols: “I’m just not super into Biden,” she said, as they burned her books and arrested her friends

Getting ready for the trial I’m pondering how Trump’s lawyers could make things better if he let them.

Something I’d expect from Trump lawyers hasn’t happened so far: asking the judge to give the jury the option of convicting him on lesser, misdemeanor offenses instead of the felony counts. My hunch is he doesn’t want to make it easier to convict on any charge, even a lesser — but it would guarantee no jail time.

Something else Trump lawyers haven’t brought up so far: They could argue Cohen was indeed rendering a legal service by paying the hush money (which isn’t illegal). That would acquit him even on the misdemeanor false filing charge.

Maybe they are thinking about such things. Hard to tell because they seem to have only focused on failed efforts to delay the trial instead of mounting a defense to the actual charges.

Here is Mike Johnson railing against Roe v. Wade, arguing that if women were forced to give birth to more “able-bodied workers,” Republicans wouldn’t try to cut Social Security and Medicare.

Women only have one function in MAGAt-land.  They don’t want to house, feed, educate, nor provide healthcare, they just want workers.

He said it out loud. Make that an ad, a billboard, a talking point.
Ad for the disassociated folks, the message isn’t getting to them.   Why?  They aren’t paying attention.

Also, tRUMPsky was Prez 3 years ago.

Also, Pelosi is responsible for your stimulus checks, not tRUMPsky.

The timeline is being intentionally muddied by MAGAts.

The Daily Show did a piece on this, actually. MAGAts are saying five years ago, three years ago, they are trying to disappear 2020.

ps to Moscow MAGAt Mike Johnson- All of those folks tRUMPsky sentenced to death by mismanagement of covid were either employed and paying into Social Security, or retired and had their benefits stopped when they died.

pps – There’s an old guy (who seems to have been a wrestler based on his gaudy clothing and loud voice) hawking 87 cent boner pills, and he’s wearing a big cross around his fat neck. Birth control pills and Plan B should be so cheap.

ppps to Moscow MAGAt Mike Johnson – If we need more workers, why not work with Dems to fix immigration and open up the border? You don’t have to listen to tRUMPsky. He’s just going to destroy you like he does everything he touches.
There are plenty of “able-bodied” folks fleeing their homeland who would love a job here.

Advance text of Kamala Harris remarks today in Arizona:

“Here in Arizona, they have turned the clock back more than a century on women’s rights and freedoms. The overturning of Roe was a seismic event. And this ban in Arizona is one of the biggest aftershocks yet. We all must understand who is to blame. It is the former president, Donald Trump. It is Donald Trump who, during his campaign in 2016, said women should be punished for seeking an abortion.”

“Marjorie Taylor Greene held Trump stock. Now that it’s tanking, she won’t say what happened to it.”

“Greene is one of two members of Congress who disclosed buying shares in Digital World Acquisition Corp. She and Rep. Larry Bucshon, R-Ind., each bought stock in the company in October 2021, according to financial disclosure reports, the same month the company announced it had completed a deal with Trump Media to merge the two entities, with the goal of the Trump business publicly trading on the stock market.”

“Greene bought shares of DWAC on Oct. 22, 2021, just days after the merger announcement, in an amount ranging from $15,000 to $50,000, according to her official congressional financial disclosure filings. The DWAC stock opened up trading that day at $118.80 and finished around $67.”

“If either of the two lawmakers are still investors with DWAC now, they could have lost thousands — up to $32,500 in Greene’s case — according to Chris Josephs, the co-founder of stock trading app Autopilot. Josephs noted that Bucshon could have lost up to $8,900 with the stock price tanking.”

Well, did she have extra cash to invest because her business got PPP money?

“If Trump wins, he plans to free Wall Street from ‘burdensome regulations’

“In the wake of the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, Congress dramatically expanded the U.S. government’s oversight of the financial industry to prevent a repeat of the 2008 global banking meltdown.”

“Donald Trump would likely renew his efforts to scale back those reforms, if elected, as well as pare protections for small-scale investors and borrowers, and allow companies to raise money with less scrutiny, according to the interviews and proposals from groups positioned to influence a new conservative administration.”

Rupugz need to stop being afraid of that fat chaos machine and start behaving like they’re care about this country and all Americans.

The Supreme Court in Arizona went too far on their Abortion Ruling, enacting and approving an inappropriate Law from 1864. So now the Governor and the Arizona Legislature must use HEART, COMMON SENSE, and ACT IMMEDIATELY, to remedy what has happened. Remember, it is now up to the States and the Good Will of those that represent THE PEOPLE. We must ideally have the three Exceptions for Rape, Incest, and Life of the Mother. This is important! Democrats are the EXTREMISTS – They support Abortion up to the moment of birth, and even execution of Babies, in some cases, after birth. This should not be. Arizona Legislature, please act as fast as possible!

“Republican candidatesdownplay past-anti-abortion stancesahead of 2024 election”

“…candidates are shying away from past hard-line positions and softening their stances. In some cases, the changes have been overt, with candidates reversing course on supporting outright bans on abortion or even denying they ever opposed it.”

“But in others, the shift has been more subtle and nuanced, with candidates altering or deleting previous statements, or de-emphasizing stances that had been more central to their platform just a few years ago.”

Too late.  Everyone knows your true stance and that YOU ARE ALL LYING NOW.

It’s a Republican war on women! Call it what it is.

There was a school shooting in Dallas today, too.  The metal detectors didn’t keep in from happening.  It sounds like two kids were having a beef and they put them in the “calm down room” together, words were exchanged, and then one pulled a gun and shot the other kid in the leg.

And no, MAGAt Mike Johnson, abortions do not cause school shootings.

blueINdallas

Question: Why did the men in power in AZ territory (before it was a state) find it necessary to put an abortion ban in place?

Same reason MAGAt Mike gave for forced births?

mTg says she’s “not full of the same kind of sh/+ as Mike Johnson.” Her words. One can extrapolate from that that she’s full of a different kind.

My grandpa loved Louis L’Amour & Zane Grey books.  He received a box of them from his sister.  His favorite book was a paperback I bought for him with babysitting money;  Muhammad Ali – The Greatest, which he reread many times.  He was an amateur boxer when he was younger.  The paperback was a step up from the usual western magazine and tin of pipe tobacco.  Yes, there were vending machines with smokes and they sold kids like me tobacco and tobacco products without question.  The 1970s smelled like cigarette smoke.

Three of my grandparents and my mom didn’t live long enough to see a dime of Social Security, so I feel I’ll be due mine.

How many covid deaths were in those collecting Social Security v those in the workforce paying into it?

By the way, the House Repug budget proposal for 2025 is full of New Speak lingo and lies. “Freedom Through Deregulation” What could go wrong?
