I am a fan of anything Rhiannon Giddens sings. Yesterday, I ran across this video of her singing Wayfaring Stranger. It doesn’t get any better.

    I first saw her perform as part of the ensemble called The North Carolina Chocolate Drops an old timey string band group exploring African American contributions to old traditional music. She plays several musical instruments and has a beautiful voice too.

  16. One thing about being old and retired is I get to sleep in late and put booze in my last cup of coffee for the day. Since I’m living by myself I get no grief from anybody about it.
    Yesterday was a shot of Jamison, cream and sugar. today some of that orange flavored french brandy, with just a little tequila to add spice. Not much of the later, you can do too much of the tequila.

  17. About Pence, I’ve known a lot of religious folks like him. He only follows his beliefs when it is to his advantage. BTW, if you won’t set down and tell your story under oath, why should I believe anything you have to say.

    So did any of those prestigious journalists ask, “if you won’t set down and tell your story under oath, why should I believe anything you have to say? ”
    Or was it all just a bunch of shuck and jive done to slap each other on the back and bragg about how important they all are?

Melissa McCarthy, you know her of course?  I did not.  When “George Santos” (maybe real name, may not be real name) said he would like to see her at the Oscar event I go, who the hell is Melissa McCarthy?  Turns out she is famous actress, and even more interesting she is person on YouTube advertisement that I find funny.  Well, ain’t that the s’s!  I am so happy to turn over the necessary time to know entertainment people to the youngsters.  Go Gen something!

  28. Breaking News – Feds back all funds in the SVB bank failure.  It did not take too long for those who make important decisions made the decision to go beyond the cheap pay guarantee. This is not supporting the stupid, this is companies like Roku to make payroll next week.  I am sure they were in that particular bank for a reason, but the bank failing was not because of them.
