Not that we should be surprised, but the propaganda from FOX these days is epic.

Re: that Tesla procurement shit:

…the document was updated, removing mention of Tesla and changing the line item to “Armored Electric Vehicles” instead.

As of late Wednesday, both versions of the 2025 procurement forecast remained available on different State Department webpages. The earlier version that mentions Tesla also lists the planned procurement under NAICS Code 311999, an industry code for miscellaneous food manufacturing, while the newer version, which says it was modified at 9:12 p.m., Feb. 12, lists the revised “Armored Electric Vehicles” procurement under NAICS Code 561613 for “Armored Car Services.”

Get it? It’s just changing the description to remove the name of the brand that they’re gonna buy. And what kind of bullshit is trying to hide the procurement of armored cars by calling categorizing it as miscellaneous food manufacturing? Error, stupidity or simple incompetence? You make the call. Unless it’s a whole lot better than what he rolled out before where a guy could throw a steel ball and break the windows, ain’t much armor going on there.

And did you hear that absolutely incomprehensible word salad that Dumbass was blurting about the Ukraine negotiations? I guess the weave doesn’t really work that well with shredded synapses instead of threads.

Anon, I completely agree with your thoughts about Van Halen. Eddie just wasn’t much of a songwriter. They had a solid half dozen good songs, maybe a couple more, but only a couple. I liked the musical parts of Panama and thought Right Now was a good tune. There were some catchy tunes with nice hooks, but I certainly wouldn’t call them “good” songs.

Jamie, LOL. Actually that was me – didn’t realize I was posting without being logged in.

I’m always interested in Claire McCaskill’s comments and am always interested to see what she has in the cake keeper on her coffee bar. Claire does good pastry.

That Tesla procurement doc is so amateur. Someone had to tell them that you always write the bid request so that only one supplier can fill it without naming names. The name Tesla should never have been so blatant a bribe.

I check out her cake server too, Pogo, plus her cabinets and tile same as my former kitchen in the ‘ham (feelin’ homesick).

Catherine Rampall WAPO.

She’s no idiot. Tends to lean right, but she’s not blind. She knows reverse Robin Hood when she sees it. Can’t wait to see the verbal gymnastics that the right wing members of Congress have to try to attempt to justify votes that will hurt most of the people in their poor ignorant Red states .

DOJ gives lawyers ‘1 hour to decide’ who’ll dismiss charges that prompted resignations — ‘or be fired’

“Department of Justice (DOJ) leadership “has put all Public Integrity Section lawyers into a room with one hour to decide who will dismiss” the indictment against New York City Mayor Eric Adams “or else all will be fired,” NBC legal analyst Barb McQuade reported Friday.”

“According to the DOJ website, the Public Integrity Section (PIN) “oversees the investigation and prosecution of all federal crimes affecting government integrity, including bribery of public officials, election crimes, and other related offenses.”

New Yorkers hate Adams. I can see this leading to some protests.

Every day sfb looks and sounds worse. His alternate universe must be having a sky color change. What might be interesting is if he does go over the rainbow live in one of his playpen press moments.

https://www.politico.com/news/2025/02/13/forest-services-fires-3400-employees-00204213

“Forest Service fires 3,400 people after ‘deferred resignation’ deadline passes”
“The move targets employees who are still within their probationary period, which means it’s easier for them to be let go.”

“Public safety employees at USFS are exempt from the firing. While firefighter jobs appear to be unaffected, other roles that support wildfire prevention are being cut. Employees who work on road and trail maintenance, timber production and watershed restoration are also impacted.”

“The cuts would reduce the agency’s workforce — a total of 35,000 employees — by about 10 percent, potentially making it harder for the federal government to address increasingly intense wildfires and manage millions of acres of federal forests and grasslands. Forest Service employees in probationary periods are more likely to be the ones doing field work, such as moving timber sales and helping to mitigate wildfires, than their more senior counterparts.”

The jobs report is going to look amazing. Wait, they aren’t going to release unemployment numbers anymore, are they?

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/matt-schlapp-sex-assault-lawsuit-cpac-b2519724.html

“CPAC’s Matt Schlapp settles sexual assault lawsuit from campaign staffer” – From almost a year ago
Now, there’s a new allegation of a sexual assault of a man in a bar, and there’s a thumbnail, but when I click on it the story has been scrubbed.

Censorship, and I’m not using Google.

https://www.mediaite.com/politics/breaking-cpacs-matt-schlapp-accused-of-sexually-assaulting-a-man/

“Matt Schlapp, the face of the Conservative Political Action Conference, allegedly sexually assaulted a man at a bar in Virginia last weekend.”

“According to independent journalist Yashar Ali, seven witnesses say that the chairman of the American Conservative Union “allegedly engaged in lewd conduct and allegedly sexually assaulted a man at a bar on Saturday night near a property he owns in north-central Virginia.”

Found another one.

https://www.newsweek.com/surprise-electric-bill-alabama-trump-executive-order-2030874

“Some Huntsville, Alabama, residents saw a $100 increase in their electric bills after a recent executive order signed by President Donald Trump.”

“On February 4, Huntsville Utilities in Alabama sent some of its customers a letter alerting them that a grant they previously received was no longer valid. The grant was distributed by the Community Action Partnership of Huntsville/Madison & Limestone Counties.”

“In a photo of one such letter posted on Facebook, the utility company told its customer that the grant they had received “for $100 on January 23, 2025, is no longer valid due to President Trump’s Executive Order to rescind the funding behind the grant.”

“Huntsville, Alabama had a federally-funded grant program that helped low income people pay their utility bills. Trump ended that program via executive order and now people are being sent bills to repay the grants they received in January and will be getting no such support moving forward. When billionaires say they are cutting ‘government waste,’ this is what they mean.”

“The Unleashing American Energy executive order reads: “All agencies shall immediately pause the disbursement of funds appropriated through the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (Public Law 117-169) or the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (Public Law 117-58).”

Cruel. Stupid & cruel. Un-Christian, stupid & cruel.

patd – Once again hackers, that is what I consider musk and his minions to be, have gone into OPM data and it is now out. 2014 is when OPM was hacked twice. The second time was into people who had clearances and their contacts. It took the ruzzians a couple months to figure out I was not dead. Since then they have been a big burr under the saddle blanket. I am waiting to see what they and the chinese decide to screw around doing.

I know zero about crypto and hope to keep it that way. But eavesdropping on the younger-set’s grapevine, I hear they foresee Elon forcing it upon us, along with resetting government functions to AI, and that your crypto coin can be flipped-off whenever it suits them, like if you’re protesting or something. In four years, the government will be privatized and voila, no need for elections.

Just sayin’.

Drumph said Bolton and Fauci can hire their own damn security and said if Iranian actors kill any of the people Drumph pulled security from, he absolves himself from all blame.
Jeezuss Kreist! Less than a month of 48 of this bullshit.  And now the truth of the decoy “ghost flight” where the press corps was potentially sacrificed when Drumph was threatened with death from Iran: Drumph thought he was going to be shot down, so he fixed it that the press corps could die, no BFD. Trump flew on a different aircraft.
