Absolutely PatD! I covered my Orlando members of Congress for many years and I can attest they pay a lot of attention to the volume of calls, if not always the substance. Disproportionately so, I always thought.They have staff tabulate for and against, with a snippet of quotes, and meticulously go through it, often letting it shape their actions.

Well, Google and Apple maps call it the Gulf of America. I use them to get information about places, trip times and distances, but for driving, I use Waze. Waze doesn’t give a name for the Gulf – I’m guessing that’s because there ain’t no roads on it – so I guess I’ll have to see if I can get better info from it than I think it has to offer.

FYI – House Republicans want to kill Medicaid; based on the $880 billion in cuts, that’s all of it. What happens to the elderly in nursing homes? They want to cut 20% from SNAP. Everyone on SNAP gets to eat only 80% if the month. Those cuts also hurt farmers because food programs aren’t really to help folks eat, but to subsidize farmers.
I’ve called all of my folks in DC today, and told them to stop calling themselves Christians if they are going to leave the elderly and children hang out to dry to subsidize the billionaires…and to remind them that Elon will be harder to get rid of the more access he has to data.
