Biden Does It Again

Is this by design or what? Biden threatened China, and his staff walks it back. He has threatened Putin, and his staff walks it back.

  1. there he goes again telling the truth. shocking!

poor ol’ Joe just can’t help himself – must be an integrity thing

  2. honors for another truthteller

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was among five recipients named at the JFK Profile in Courage Awards on Sunday night. Presenting the award, Caroline Kennedy said the award had been given to an international elected official in only a “few exceptional cases” when “political courage has inspired the world.”

  3. POTUS Joe, speaking up for the ideal of democratic society while China builds up its military to bully (to put it nicely) Taiwan and others.   I’m with Joe.

  4. Let’s face it. Nobody is trying to get into China or Russia.  Folks still want to come to the US, as well as other democracies.

  5. Extra, extra, read all about it.

Politics, schmolitics. Now there’s some real news.

  6. is kellyanne providing the loser former guy a way out with a defense that he really did/does believe he won which might arguably let him off on the intent angle?

or at least buy some time (if so, hopefully that “time” is only a mitigation yearwise in fed prison)

    the hill:

In “Here’s the Deal,” Conway writes that Trump lost the election, adding that his team encouraged his false claims about election fraud, according to Politico, which obtained an early copy.
“Rather than accepting responsibility for the loss, they played along and lent full-throated encouragement (privately, not on TV) when Trump kept insisting he won,” she wrote, the news outlet reported.
“The team had failed on November 3, and they failed again afterward,” she continued. “By not confronting the candidate with the grim reality of his situation, that the proof had not surfaced to support the claims, they denied him the evidence he sought and the respect he was due. Instead supplicant after sycophant after showman genuflected in front of the Resolute Desk and promised the president goods they could not deliver.”

  7. nice touch, kellyanne, with your insider report of

“supplicant after sycophant after showman genuflected in front of the Resolute Desk”

Yes I saw the Hugh episode of Simpsons and the Reich interview about it.  Fun piece.

Every time one of these walk back episode happen, I always think of President Obama saying, “Joe says stuff”.  I sometimes wonder if it isn’t the result of his life long struggle with stuttering.  He simply says the easiest thing possible about a subject and then allows the staff to fill in the details.

  10. Apparently… no one wants to look at the gorilla in the room.
I’m glad that Joe is president too….  but methinks he’s beginning to show his age.

Trumpity would too….   that’s why I hope both parties go for some younger blood in 2024…

  11. https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/24/entertainment/christian-cooper-national-geographic-show-cec/index.html

“The Black birdwatcher who recorded a viral clash with a White woman in New York’s Central Park will host his own National Geographic show.”

“After the Central Park incident he wrote a graphic novel partly inspired by his experiences. DC Comics published the novel, “It’s a Bird,” in September 2020.”

“It tells the story of Jules, a Black teenage birdwatcher, who gets an old pair of binoculars with magic powers. When he looks through them, he sees the stories of Amadou Diallo, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd — unarmed Black Americans who were killed by police.”

  12. Georgia, Alabama … the GOP in those states can’t get their heads far enough up TFG’s butt. (Both the references below are from Wapo stories in today’s Post).

In Alabama – all 3 folks running for the GOP Senate nomination (Mo Brooks arguably being the dumbest having had Dumbass’ endorsement withdrawn) are trying to outdo the other two in professing fealty to TFG.

In Georgia, Perdue, Dumbass’ pick for the GOP nomination…”Perdue makes racist remark about Abrams: She’s “demeaning her own race,” and Dumbass, in a tele-rally for Perdue, “lashed out against Abrams, falsely telling voters she would ‘radicalize your children and plunder your wealth and all of the other things.’”

Well, he’s still on top of his game. “Plunder your wealth and all of the other things,” as if that is supposed to mean something inside that pumpkin on his shoulders. Renee is on to something…

  13. Alex Mooney – the shoo-in for my congressional district.  (Wapo)

The House Ethics Committee also published a report on Mooney, who this month won the primary race for the GOP nomination for West Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District.

The report said the committee would continue to review several allegations against Mooney, including that he may have accepted a “free or below-market-value trip” to Aruba, used a campaign vendor’s Washington property as a free source of lodging, converted campaign funds to personal use and pressured congressional staffers to run personal errands for his family.

Mooney’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The committee investigated a March 2021 trip Mooney took with his family to Aruba, where they stayed at the Ritz-Carlton and had nearly all of their lodging, meals, drinks and amenities paid for by HSP Direct, one of Mooney’s campaign vendors. According to the report, HSP Direct’s payment for the Mooney family vacation totaled nearly $11,000, “included private poolside cabanas, guided tours and activities, and at least one banquet,” and “likely constitutes an impermissible gift under House rules.”

Slimy prick – in the same company as Ronny Jackson and Maddie Cawthorn.

  14. And in Texas no less. And Paxton says the solution is to arm the teachers.  Haven’t we been through this before? (Hint, TFG suggested it after Parkland) And as the Post notes, “Texas is one of the only states that permits districts to arm teachers, although it’s not clear how many districts have taken advantage of the provision.” Well either Uvalde didn’t or it doesn’t work. Fuggin morons.
