We the People of the United States,

in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Having endured many days, most likely hours, listening to those who are the cult members, followers, true believers, of the former guy, I am hearing a few commonalities to their alternate world.

First, you have to ignore or deflect much of the garbage and alternate universe talk used to cover their true thinking.  There is so much about how President Biden is unable to speak or think due to severe dementia or some other mix of diseases; about how First Lady Jill Biden either talks for him (ventriloquist?) or tells him what to say (invisible on the podium?).  Add that he is forcing the U.S. into Communism, that is another discourse.  How the far left is running the country, I ask to name anyone and how it is possible with McConnell not allowing anything through the Senate.  And, much more stuff that is only possible in a universe far, far away.

Get past the horse apples of the cult members trying to change direction away from their leader and you find commonalities of their real issues.  The most important is race, anyone not Northern European Caucasian (brilliant white) is a problem.  The second is “those people” are getting free X (fill in the X) and “I am paying for them to do Y (fill in the Y)”. 

It all comes down to the Regan bull patties of Welfare Queens and race politics.  The common thread.  It comes from the delusion that they are supporting people who are getting away with not working for a living and living a better life for it.  The followers are jealous and believe those people are getting special privileges and getting away with not having to work.

Some of the jealousy comments I have heard are from people who are not working for a living, and have not worked for a living in years.  They are receiving Social Security Disability payments or state payments.  A few are retired but living the life of finding ways to be a victim in a victimless situation.  But something interesting to me was the spread of incomes.  From high income to low income, although we tend to think of a cult member as being lower income, that is not true. The belief that they are supporting lazy no good people is the common theme.

A final thought about the most common trait they have is they can bad mouth and say all sorts of nasty, vile and evil lies about any Democrat (espcially Biden, Clinton, Obama) but you cannot say one thing derogatory about the former guy.  Do that and they might do nasty things to you, and with any luck they might not talk to you again.

Two fans of Orange Adolf surprise me; neither is white and one was not born in this country. For the latter, the border is a big issue because “I came here legally.” Both are very authoritarian in nature; there is no gray area about anything. However, they believe every positive lie proffered about Orange Adolf. One is Catholic, the other was Catholic but is now non-denominational. Also, one is vaccinated, but one refuses because it’s a “hoax” and is not protective.

It’s a bigger tent than you might think. Well, more are huddled under it…but won’t they be surprised when they find out they are actually welcome and whitey turns on them.

Did George Washington Order Troops To Get Vaccinated Against Smallpox?
Washington wrote in 1777 that the Continental Army had more to “dread” from smallpox than from the “Sword of the Enemy.”

On Jan. 6, 1777, Washington wrote a letter to Dr. William Shippen Jr., the Director General of Hospitals of the Continental Army, ordering troops to be inoculated. It’s available here via the National Archives.

Finding the Small pox to be spreading much and fearing that no precaution can prevent it from running through the whole of our Army, I have determined that the troops shall be inoculated. This Expedient may be attended with some inconveniences and some disadvantages, but yet I trust in its consequences will have the most happy effects. Necessity not only authorizes but seems to require the measure, for should the disorder infect the Army in the natural way and rage with its usual virulence we should have more to dread from it than from the Sword of the Enemy. Under these circumstances I have directed Doctor Bond to prepare immediately for inoculating in this Quarter,1 keeping the matter as secret as possible, and request that you will without delay inoculate All the Continental Troops that are in Philadelphia and those that shall come in as fast as they arrive. You will spare no pains to carry them through the disorder with the utmost expedition, and to have them cleansed from the infection when recovered, that they may proceed to Camp with as little injury as possible to the Country through which they pass. If the business is immediately begun and favoured with the common success, I would fain hope they will be soon fit for duty, and that in a short space of time we shall have an Army not subject to this the greatest of all calamities that can befall it when taken in the natural way.

Monarch butterflies –
When I took high school  biology in 1966 , my mother grew  in the flower bed 5 feet from my feet, chrysanthemums  .
That September, right out of the gate  we had to do  our insect collection ………….. Catch , kill and mount various insects .
There were hundreds of Monarchs  every day stopping to re-fuel on her flower bed.  It was a wonderful thing. 
In the Fall of 1999  I was West  bound  on the I-20 in an 18 wheeler around Big Springs .  And I saw a Monarch  doing that crazy  flight pattern butterflies do.  She was about 30 feet above the truck headed for Mexico . 
When I did the that insect collection in 66′ , we had know clue about their life cycle.  I began to pay attention above the tractor , and there above the I-20  at about 100 feet were thousands on Monarchs bound for that one magic forest in Mexico.  It went on for 25 miles.  I wrote an email to mom that night on the Qualcom in my truck.  By then we had a basic understanding of their life cycle.  She was trilled. 
The following spring ,  I was taking a leak in front of the Tractor  after getting out of Laredo with a load , on a 2 lane road. 
And there 6 feet off the ground fluttered by a Monarch doing that   crazy  flight pattern butterflies do, North bound out of Mexico  .
Since all that , the Industrial Ag complex  came up with “Round-Up Ready” plant engineering .  This let farmers plant those engineered seeds  for corn and soybeans.  This let them spray that herbicide  any where they wanted .
Sounds great on paper , but it killed off all the milk weed growing around the fields.  And God knows what else. 
And the Mexicans were doing their part.  cutting down the forest where they wintered. 
Then came climate change , cold snaps plugging deep into their forest.
That butterfly Blink saw today was truly a white whale. 
 
I came up with idea to help save them , ask all the golf grounds keepers to plant milk weed, and fuel flowers. 
 
Anyway  that is  my butterfly story.

One other thing I have seen  _
In the 5th and 6th grade I walked home down Ave N , from 26th to 40th street. There red ant beds all along the way ,  and there were dozens  of horny toads , little ones , big ones , and blue stripped lizards. 
 
That world is all gone .
There used to be “Miller Bugs”  flying  all around our street lights at night. 
That world is all gone .
There is a name for all this , “Generational Amnesia”.
My nephews never saw  baby horny toads eatin red ants in their alley. 
 
For them , there is no world with red ants and baby horny toads.

My friend Larry called me , our friend Fish has committed suicide by whiskey .  The welfare check  found his body on Wed. , and 8 gallons of empty  bottles. 
He worked on the Coors Light ads , the silver bullet ads. 
That art was his , and our Down Town Art Market shirts. 
I had planned to die at 27 . 
Why I am still here , watching the old world pass away  seems like a form of torture now.

I did not  lift a finger to help Fish. 
I spent 54 days at the Big Springs State Hospital, after my suicide effort.  That was in 1985 .
I sobered up for a while.  In fact for years.  I got married  to a red head who divorced me to marry her pain doctors bother so he would not get sent back to Lebanon .  They all moved to Fla. 
I went to Oregon. with a kitten she had saved with no tail.  I took him to the  store every day , 
One day he escaped  and crawled into the engine of my salon owners  husbands  truck .  He rode 20 miles  to her house  outside of Salem. 
I posted a sign in my window the next day ,  she came in and asked for details the next day , I gave her “Stumpy” that day.
