The glaring difference between Mr. Trump and his predecessors is the sheer magnitude of falsehoods and exaggerations; PolitiFact rates just 20 percent of the statements it reviewed as true, and a total of 69 percent either mostly false, false or “Pants on Fire.” That leaves scholars like Ms. Goodwin to wonder whether Mr. Trump, in elevating the art of political fabrication, has forever changed what Americans are willing to tolerate from their leaders.
“What’s different today and what’s scarier today is these lies are pointed out, and there’s evidence that they’re wrong,” she said. “And yet because of the attacks on the media, there are a percentage of people in the country who are willing to say, ‘Maybe he is telling the truth.’”

Such extremes in AZ. I’ve not toured the state beyond driving across it several times during our two assignments in Las Vegas, and my explorations around my favorite place in the region, Flagstaff. But, I do respect the relationship between temperature and humidity as it affects “hot.”
renee, re today’s twit tweets. and this from a multi-defermentee
Sen. Richard Blumenthal said he will not be thrown off from talking about legislation designed to insulate Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller by what he called “slurs” being hurled at him on Twitter by President Donald Trump.
[…]
Trump, who apparently was watching Blumenthal on CNN Monday morning, called the Connecticut Democrat a “phony Vietnam con artist!”
That was a reference to a well-documented issue regarding Blumenthal’s military service, which came to light during his 2010 Senate campaign. While the senator served in the Marine Corps Reserve, he never served in country during the Vietnam War.
“Never in U.S.history has anyone lied or defrauded voters like Senator Richard Blumenthal,” Trump said in a series of Tweets. “He told stories about his Vietnam battles and conquests, how brave he was, and it was all a lie. He cried like a baby and begged for forgiveness like a child. Now he judges collusion?”
[….]
While he avoided the particulars of the misstatements about Vietnam, Blumenthal said the Trump Tweets were just another signal of the likelihood that legislative action to protect Mueller may be required in short order.
la times:President Trump, who received five draft deferments, loves attacking Sen. Blumenthal‘s military record
Trump graduated in 1968, with four draft deferments for being a student that allowed him to avoid compulsory service.
After that, he received a fifth for bones spurs in his heels. He called the condition “temporary” and “minor” in an interview last year with the New York Times.
“I had a doctor that gave me a letter — a very strong letter on the heels,” he told the paper.
In a 2015 press conference, Trump forgot which heel had been diagnosed, before his campaign clarified that it was both of them.
also in today’s la times an op ed Trump is breaking the federal government’s promises to Native Americans

Now we know the reason that the 4 alleged leakers weren’t named during junta AG sessions’ PR Extravaganza. Only two of the four were actual leakers, and 3 were originally apprehended or at least surveilled by the Obama Administration, so they had nothing to do with the trump junta leaks. Only one itty bitty one leaked to the news media, and she didn’t leak about doings in the trumpussypincher White House, either.
All told, 0 of the 4 leaked the mountains of embarrassing WH info.
Therefore we nust assume that trump, pence, sessions, jared, babytrump, putin, bannonov, rebus, betulski, eric the red, perry, ivanka, scary moocher, spysir, flynn, malania, kyslik, and devox remain at large.
What a day, the afternoon spent in dermatology getting a head to toe exam for skin cancer. And a nice round chunk of me going to biopsy because the doctors cannot figure out what it is or what is going on with it. At least I am not showing anything real except for old age skin things. And an appointment (TBD) in a year to go through the microscope again.
I thank you for providing this level of care at the Veterans Administration medical center. My biggest fear is that SFB will get his way and dissolve the VA medical centers by privatizing the care. How many private shrinks are ready to listen to someone who has killed people? Killed men, women and children? Who have been severely wounded and not in a corner store robbery? Who can sit there and help because the vet is not going to attack them, just that the vet has severe guilt feelings and PTSD?
Or a doctor trying to treat a disease they not only have never seen but are concerned because the veterans toe just fell off in their hands. Sure doctors have patients with weird diseases. But they need to care for the whole person, not just the diseased part. I have had doctors tell me they have “no idea, won’t the VA take care of it?”
Great find at CostCo. In the prepared foods section. A large pack of three half chickens, a very large mac and cheese and a huge pile of green beans with a scoop of herbed butter. For $15.99. A deal in any language. It is cooking right now and will be dinner and lunch for the week.
Okay, BB, that takes care of the pup, now what about you?
Networking helps in finding the right doc. For instance, my dermadoc is a vet. If I wasn’t happy with one of my specialists I could ask him to find me one; he would.
Good luck on your biopsy!
So Commander Bonespur, aka SFB, is trashing Blumenthal? Whadda joke. How many times will I say “dumbass” before SFB is impeached, quits or is defeated? (Best guess – a shit ton)
(LOL autocorrect made “defeated” “defatted”, which is actually more appropriate IMHO)
Field Marshal Bonespur single handedly won the Battles of Gettysburg, Midway, The Bulge, and Mosul. In his spare time he also destroyed isis and an empty Syrian aircraft hangar to boot, the latter being the greatest feat of arms since he freed the slaves of California during the Spanish American War.

Flatus, Arizonans like to say, but it’s a dry heat. Humidity was about 12 percent today and it will go down some more as the monsoon winds down. I am not a native, the wife is, but I must say this state is one of the most diverse places I have ever lived, and all in one state. Mountains, forests, canyons, deserts, flora and fawna. Even the people are quite diverse from the northern enclaves of Phoenix to the borderland culture of Tucson. And, the cost of living is reasonable compared to say California, where I grew up. My feeling is that every place is unique and each place has its own beauty. Stereotyping a place is a big, big mistake. Back home tonight and can sleep in our own bed. Buenas noches.
