WSJ reports that Trump PERSONALLY tried to cover up the WH covid outbreak: “Mr. Trump also asked one adviser not to disclose results of their own positive test. ‘Don’t tell anyone,’ Mr. Trump said, according to a person familiar with the conversation.”

    Donald Trump drew immediate rebuke from doctors on Sunday afternoon for an “insane” surprise drive-by visit to supporters outside the Walter Reed military medical center, where the president is being treated for an infection of Covid-19.

    At least two other people, probably Secret Service agents, wearing respirators and eye protection, were seen on video in the vehicle accompanying Trump, who was also masked, during the short drive.

    James Phillips, doctor of emergency medicine at George Washington University, who is an attending physician at Walter Reed, called the stunt “insanity”.

    “Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary Presidential ‘drive-by’ just now has to be quarantined for 14 days. They might get sick. They may die,” he wrote in a tweet.

    “For political theater. Commanded by Trump to put their lives at risk for theater. This is insanity.”

    In a second tweet, Phillips added: “That Presidential SUV is not only bulletproof, but hermetically sealed against chemical attack. The risk of COVID19 transmission inside is as high as it gets outside of medical procedures. The irresponsibility is astounding. My thoughts are with the Secret Service forced to play.”

    Jonathan Reiner, professor of medicine and surgery at George Washington University school of medicine and health services, said in a tweet: “By taking a joy ride outside Walter Reed the president is placing his Secret Service detail at grave risk.”

    “In the hospital when we go into close contact with a Covid patient we dress in full PPE: Gown, gloves, N95, eye protection, hat. This is the height of irresponsibility.”

    NBC pointed out that a White House official told them Melania Trump would not leave her residence to visit her husband because: “That would expose the agents who would drive her there and the medical staff who would walk her up to him.”

    As recently as Friday, Secret Service agents were expressing their anger at how Trump’s perceived recklessness was placing them at risk.

    “He’s never cared about us,” one agent told a confidant, according to the Washington Post.

    The newspaper said some agents had become convinced in recent months that the president was oblivious to them being in harm’s way, citing as evidence a policy that agents on duty at Trump rallies were no longer routinely being tested when they returned home.

    President Trump was up and at ’em this morning with one message on his mind that he felt the need to repeat over and over and over AND OVER again — America, vote … MAGA.

    DT sent out a barrage of tweets early Monday, and they were all different versions of the same sentiment — here’s why folks oughta punch their ballots in for him … with his signature all caps font, of course. In all, he had about 15 or so bullet point reasons to vote Trump.

    Just to name a few of the most amusing … 401(k), LAW & ORDER, STOCK MARKET HIGHS, STRONGEST MILITARY EVER, PRO LIFE, FIGHT THE CORRUPT FAKE NEWS MEDIA … and, of course, SPACE FORCE!!!! There’s more, but you get it, we’re sure.

    He also had a friendly reminder for residents in key swing states he needs to win to defeat Biden (who’s ahead in the polls in a lot of these places). He told people in Ohio, Florida, Georgia, Arizona and Texas Monday was the last day to register and offered a link so they could sign up … a link that leads to a site that literally pushes you to vote for Trump.

    We’d give him credit for promoting the democratic process, but since he’s leading would-be voters right to his own punch card … we’ll hold off on the kudos for now. One last note we’ll make about Trump’s back-to-business mentality on Twitter … some are calling it “roid rage.”

    As you mighta heard, Trump’s now on a steroid called dexamethasone, which helps fight off inflammation in the body caused by disease and/or viruses. While there are different reports on the potential side effects, one that keeps getting brought up is the possibility of “delusions of grandeur” and general outbursts or acts of anger — y’know, ’cause of the ‘roids and all.

    KC, yes, DOs are certainly doctors. We’ve got a DO school in WV and they turn out a lot of good docs.One of them did a terrific adjustment for me almost 20 years ago.  My right shoulder had bothered me, very painfully at times, over the prior 10 or so years.  I thought (and my regular internist) thought I was on the way to a fairly quick ‘scope to see what was going on.  The DO overheard and told me to drop by the clinic that afternoon if I had a chance.  I did, he assessed it, had me lie down, do a bit of a fetal position thing then into a pretzel while he very gently manipulated my C-3 vertibrae and, ET VOILA, pain gone, hasn’t returned at all. Guy is a miracle worker – if he was an MD he probably wouldn’t have done what he did.
