    Conservative commentator Charlie Sykes on Sunday slammed Rep. Thomas Massie’s (R-Ky.) shocking holiday greeting card featuring his family with military-style and other rifles as the “equivalent of dick pics for gun extremists,” referring to photos men share in a sad attempt to show off.
    MSNBC anchor Lindsey Reiser piped up: “Sorry, everybody, I’m not sure we can say that, Charlie!”

    Sykes, founder and editor of The Bulwark and frequent MSNBC contributor, apologized for “being offensive.” But he added, referring to Massie’s equipment: “He’s basically trying to show off. He’s trying to trigger to get the reaction.”
    He added: “That is not designed to make a serious argument … It is designed to show off in this fetish kind of way.”
    He called Massie’s photo “obscene,” adding: “That is certainly not the spirit of Christmas. There’s nothing Christmas there.”

    So did tRUMP, but he wept because he didn’t think of doing that. What an attention-getter. He may or may not congratulate Massie, depending on how upset he is about missing a sick trick like this one.

    Is Massie the NRA’s person of the year, or, would that be Jennifer Crumbley for her “LOL” tweet to her spawn about not getting caught ammo shopping in class? The competition is tight this year.

  10. That’s a tough one because, although they want to defy Biden, it would look like they are supporting Chiner. A Kobayshi Maru for Republicans. Oh, wait, you can beat it if you cheat, so maybe Republicans will find a way.

    It would be amazing if Republicans showed solidarity on this (and we’re vocal about it), in support of intellectual property rights if not for human rights…cuz they don’t care about the latter.

I wonder why idiots show guns when the less law abiding people would like them, preferably free.  It is advertising.  I don’t care how well trained idiots are on shooting those to grease a deer or squirrel, when you have someone in your house pointing a gun at you and you do not have an M-16 in your hand your life insurance may pay off.

  12. I knew a liquor store owner who packed a rod in a belt holster after having been robbed once before.  He got robbed again by a guy with a gun who shot him before he could get to it.    He didn’t die but realized that the gun was absolutely no help.   He also then sold his store.

    Expect Republicans to hide behind the kids, the same way they wrap themselves in the flag, and hold up the Bible. They don’t actually care what happens to folks of any age. Can’t eat? No place to live? Can’t afford medical treatment for your kid who just got shot in school? Republicans don’t care.

  14. With Broadway opening up, NYC isn’t about to endanger one of their major sources of tourist dollars. All of the performers are required to be fully vaxed.  Even the theaters aren’t having “Stage Door” interaction with the casts.  For some already open, you can go online to a virtual stage door with a nightly presentation and even order autographed material.  

    If a major star gets ill, that can shut down the whole production with major costs to all concerned.

  17. They should add vax status to domestic travel.  It won’t stop folks from driving to another state and staying with friends or family, but it will cut back close quarters on flights, even though masked. Plus, if they need a hotel.. 

    My dad and all of the other patients at his nursing home are in quarantine. He was hoping to move to assisted living, but that’s on hold now. He has to eat in his room. Bored out of his mind.

  18. Yes, it’s just crazy to see that Congressman and his family in the face of what just happened in Michigan. More than crazy their sick! Were sick as a country!
