Experts agree that Adolf Hitler, Jedward and the baddie from ‘No Country for Old Men’ all had evil hairstyles, but which came first – the bad hair or the bad man? Does evil hair drive the person beneath it to perform evil deeds, possibly by whispering, or do wicked people do something weird with their combs?
It’s like the nature / nurture thing, but with hair.
Psychologists have analysed the hairstyles of Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un, and graded both hairstyles as ‘Category 5 – Keep Away’. For comparison, Hitler’s hair was only Category 4, though his moustache brought the grade up.
“When President Trump said that the USA could ‘deal with’ North Korea on its own, that was just the hair talking”, said a top psychologist. “We see this a lot in forensic psychiatric facilities. On a bad hair day we get a lot of fights. There’s even a Biblical precedent – Samson didn’t lose his strength when they cut his hair, he lost his psychosis.

The state’s “Stand Your Ground” law is being rewritten in a way that will make it easier to shoot somebody and beat the rap. Gang members might as well pop the champagne cork now, because it’s practically a done deal in Tallahassee.
At the direction of the NRA, Republican lawmakers are changing the procedure in Stand Your Ground hearings so that defendants no longer will have to show a judge they acted in self-defense.
The burden will shifted to prosecutors, who’ll be forced to show the shooter did not feel his life was in danger when he pulled the trigger.

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is on the alert as the situation on the Korean peninsula is showing signs of unforeseeable tension. As a result, 150,000 soldiers have gathered on the North Korean border near the Yalu and Tumen rivers since April 7. In addition, China has seemingly conducted secret training for the flood of North Korean refugees, which are likely to occur in case of emergency.
This assertion is not an exaggeration considering the characteristics of 150,000 soldiers on the border. According to Beijing sources familiar with Chinese military information, most of them are 39th and 40th Army Groups, which are formed in the Northern Military District to guard against an unexpected situation of the Korea peninsula. The 39th Army Group is a heavy mechanized unit and the 40th is the rapid deployment force. Both of them boast the country’s best combat power and firepower. This means that China is taking the situation quite seriously.
The situation is quite serious considering the fact that the brains of the PLA ordered the entire Northern District to fully prepare for combat. Obviously, follow-up measures are being taken. First, they deployed a new Kongjing-500 early warning aircraft to the border to intensify aerial surveillance. In addition, Dongfeng-31A missiles, 12 Dongfeng-03 ballistic missiles with a range of 2,800km, and 24 Dongfeng-21 “Carrier-killer” missiles are recently deployed at the 51st Base under Rocket Unit stationed in Shenyang of Liaoning province. Aiming at North Korea, United States Forces Korea and Japan, the missiles are reportedly ready to be fired. Mr. Dou, who retired as an instructor-level officer of the Rocket Unit, said, “The brains of the PLA were surprised by the United States’ sudden Syria missile strike. They cannot help but think the U.S. could exercise armed force against North Korea in the future. They realized U.S. threat to North Korea looking at the implementation of US-Korea military drills such as Key Resolve exercise and the reality of half of US Pacific carriers heading towards Korean Peninsula. It would be rather strange not to respond.”

WASHINGTON — The White House on Tuesday accused the Russian government of engaging in a cover-up of the chemical weapons attack last week by Syrian forces that prompted American airstrikes, saying that United States intelligence and numerous contemporaneous reports confirmed that the Syrians used sarin gas on their own people.
In a declassified four-page report that details United States intelligence on the chemical weapons attack, the White House asserted that the Syrian and Russian governments have sought to confuse the world community about the assault through disinformation and “false narratives.”
Senior White House officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss the government’s view, said Russia’s goal was to cover up Syrian regime culpability.
The officials said they could not comment on the possibility that the Russian government knew in advance of Syria’s plan to carry out the chemical weapons attack, or of a subsequent attack on a hospital that was treating victims.
But one official said that, given the history of close cooperation between the Syrian and Russian militaries, Moscow must answer for the attacks. Pentagon officials have said that Russian personnel were at the Syrian base used to launch the chemical weapons attack.

Russia is on the verge of taking control of a US oil company.
In a crazy twist of international events, Russia’s state-owned oil company Rosneft might end up owning Citgo, a US energy company based in Houston, Texas.
“We are extremely concerned that Rosneft’s control of a major US energy supplier could pose a grave threat to American energy security, impact the flow and price of gasoline for American consumers, and expose critical US infrastructure to national security threats,” a bipartisan group of senators led by Republican Marco Rubio of Florida and Democrat Bob Menendez of New Jersey wrote Monday in a letter to US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin.
All of this comes as tension is high between US and Russia over the conflict in Syria, cyber crime and Russia meddling in US elections, among other disputes. Rosneft is also currently on the US sanctions list for “violating international law and fueling conflict in Ukraine.”

White House press secretary Sean Spicer on Wednesday erred in claiming that former Nazi Party leader Adolf Hitler did not use chemical weapons during World War II.
“You had someone as despicable as Hitler, who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons,” Spicer said during Wednesday’s press briefing.
Hitler is known to have used Cyanide gas in mass murders of Jews.
Spicer was using the Hitler comparison to make a point about how dastardly Syrian president Bashar Assad acted last weekend when he attacked his own people with Sarin gas, which provoked President Trump to strike a Syrian air field.
“If you are Russia, ask yourself, is this a country and regime that you want to align yourself with?” he asked.
Later in the briefing, Spicer walked back his remarks when a reporter challenged him to explain, saying Hitler didn’t use chemical weapons “in the same way” as Assad.
“When it comes to Sarin gas, [Hitler] was not using the gas on his own people the same way that Assad is doing,” Spicer said.
“I understand your point. Thank you. I appreciate that. He brought them into the Holocaust centers, I understand that. I was saying in the way that Assad used them where he went into town, dropped them into the middle of town. I appreciate the clarification. That was not the intent.”

Clarification re wartime use of chemical weapons; a parallel issue to the use of chemistry in the Holocaust in the Nazis’ search for the most mechanically perfect way to murder human beings by the tens of thousands each day. Where firing squads were simply too slow and ammunition too expensive. Understand this. I trivialize nothing; I supported the establishment of the Tamps Bay Holocaust Museum. I uttered that support in public hearings, on radio and teevee, and in print interviews.
In an effort to prevent the horrendous casualties resulting from chlorine, phosgene and mustard gas use during WW-I, the allies, including the United States, produced massive amounts of chemical agents during the period 1930 thru 1970. As the state of the art shifted, so did our production. But our doctrine did not.
In the 1930s, we pledged never to use chemical weapons of mass destruction (WMD) except in response to others’ first use. Napalm, tear gas, riot gas and other agents of that nature were not categorized as WMD. We even adopted a subterfuge where we took many chemical shells and encircled them with three painted bands. These bands were intended to have adversaries believe that we had agents more hazardous and persistent than those shells with one and two painted bands that had been used in past combats. We didn’t.
In any case, neither we nor our adversaries made combat use of lethal chemical agents in WW-II or during the Cold War.
I might point out, our chemical weapons have been destroyed. Should someone make battlefield use of chemical agents against us, I would not be surprised to see us respond with the WMD that we still possess–tactical nuclear weapons.

Goodwin says he asked Trump if he still has confidence in Bannon, who is reportedly feuding with Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner. And Trump didn’t exactly disabuse Goodwin of the idea that Bannon is embattled. In fact, he did quite the opposite.
“I like Steve, but you have to remember he was not involved in my campaign until very late,” Trump said. “I had already beaten all the senators and all the governors, and I didn’t know Steve. I’m my own strategist, and it wasn’t like I was going to change strategies because I was facing crooked Hillary.”
Ouch. Bannon joined the campaign in August for the lion’s share of the general election, taking on the role of campaign CEO. He and Kellyanne Conway, the campaign manager, were the titular heads of the campaign. Trump then kept Bannon on as his chief political adviser in the White House, serving alongside chief of staff Reince Priebus.
In his comments to Goodwin, Trump also nodded to the tensions that exist in the White House and appeared to place the onus on Bannon to make things right — or else.
“Steve is a good guy, but I told them to straighten it out or I will,” Trump said.
