Fake Newser in Chief

Well, so now it comes out. Barack Obama did not surveil, wiretap, or do anything else that our Fake Newser in Chief alleged he did. No, the charge didn’t even come from him. (Please ignore those early to early morning tweets.)

No, it was actually a fake news media in Russia who made the charge. And it was actually that right legal mind, Judge Andrew Napolitano, who made that charge in the fake US media, you know, Fox News.

And to continue the Fake News onslaught, he now claims he had a wonderful meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. I guess that was after he refused to shake her hand and he criticized Germany’s commitment to its own defense. So good in fact that the German defense minister had to correct him on how NATO works and what Germany does and does not owe it.

Well, at least we now know that fake news in the US is from Russia through Fox through Trump.

    I’ll kick off this thread with a puzzle. Since we now have republicans hugging Russia, hating our security agencies and offices, and rushing headlong into boosting the deficit, and carelessly toying with foreign policy, does the word conservative have any meaning ? Although you may disagree, I think the word is no longer descriptive of a commonly accepted meaning, and therefore of no use in political discourse . . . . UNLESS the t party folks who have captured the republican Party are actually Anti-conservatives. If so, the commonly used conservative – liberal continuum should be replaced by a conservative – anti-conservative continuum, in which liberals would be in the middle. Or something.

    Let’s see if this sparks any thoughts.

Oh, I forgot to mention budget busting make work projects, like the wall that the drug and human trafficking coyotes will dig beneath, and new highways to suburbs and golf resorts yet unbuilt – for the convenience of the cartels distributing dope to white kids, and the trafficked folks getting to their homebuilding & lawn mowing jobs.

    Rupert Murdoch, the patriarch of the channel’s parent company 21st Century Fox, now doubles as the chairman of Fox News.

    Murdoch has also had a decades-long relationship with Trump. NPR recently reported that “Murdoch has told close associates that the nation’s 45th president calls to confer frequently — as often as multiple times a week — and that he has visited the White House to meet with Trump more than once.”

    Murdoch’s spokeswoman declined to comment on the frequency of the meetings.

    And as for the president? When he was asked about Spicer’s invocation of Napolitano’s claims at a press conference, Trump told the questioner to call his favorite cable news channel.

    “All we did was quote a certain very talented legal mind,” Trump said, adding, “That was a statement made by a very talented lawyer on Fox… You shouldn’t be talking to me, you should be talking to Fox. Ok?”

    Mr. Cracker has excellent health coverage…medicare plus Kaiser Senior Advantage (paid for by his union) This last year has been a lot of medical problems –if we were paying – we’d be living in our car. Thanks to the union share no co-pays….but if we had to pay that…we would still have a house but be eating not much and not often. Medical care is very expensive, drugs are expensive and although corrections needed to be made to the affordable care act what the Goopers are proposing is to return to the 1950’s. People especially the poor, elderly and people with chronic diseases died because of lack of preventive care or early care.
    Actually without his insurance – he would have died last year. Everyday the hatred I feel for the goopers and their enablers grows larger…and I know many people who live here feel the same way.
    At least the real issues are on the table now. Goopers hate anyone who is not a white Christian and that is the problem.

  27. wish someone would ask rogers/comey about evidence (or probability) of wiretapping and bugging trash tower BY Russia.   the dems did name names and get a lot put in the record even tho’ comey/rogers had to hold back answers due to not wanting to be specific about ongoing investigation(s).

    seems to me gowdy is trying his damnedest to get clapper, brennan and rice charged with criminally disseminating classified info.   he’s also fishing for charges against post and nyt….at least scaring them.

You will can do some reading on the CIA recommended reading site for a lot of information about “bugging” things.  Cell phones and VPN phones have mostly replaced land lines or POTS.  So when talking about “tapping” a phone you can be assured it is not what Nixon’s henchmen were doing in the late 60’s and early 70’s.  They were putting real hardware inside phones.  As the phrase goes “that is so passé“.  The only reason to put a bug in a room is to gather information which is not being shipped around via cell phone towers.  Drumpf and friends are very nervous about what they discussed with the KGB/FSB/SVR/GRU.

    We are living in historic times.  For those my age who lived through the Nixon regime this should be very disconcerting.  Nixon caused years of angst and the thought of a possible failure of the U.S.  Nixon was talked to by certain people and he resigned.  From what we have seen of the floater, there is no single person who can tell him its over and he needs to leave.  Will he create a crisis by not leaving and ordering federal agencies and the military to keep him in power?  I hope not.  But, from what we learned today, spoken and unspoken, the man is toast.

Please excuse me.  When I write Soviet I also mean the current Russian regime.  Putin is a Soviet KGB officer.  He is trying to recreate the Soviet Union, so just saying “Russian” does not cover reality.  I prefer “Soviet” as it is closer to the truth.  Syria, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine, Modova, Crimea . . ,  Those form the Black Sea exit.  And, future Soviet Union.  Unless we get a president dedicated to stopping the Soviets.
