Some songs to remind us about who we are as Americans. A few of my favorite patriotic ones, plus a few that are just fun. After all, fun is what a birthday celebration is all about. Even when you are my age. So if you have any favorites to add do so and I will put them on the list for next year. It is family reunion weekend for me I have family coming in from all over the country. We are getting old and we lost a few this year. So while it will be fun it will be sad too.

Thanks, Jack. July 4 will be a mixed day for us too. It would’ve been our daughter’s 35th birthday. We will carry on with a gathering of family and friends and, like every year, the fireworks are for her.
