Decisions on possible indictments in Trump Georgia investigation expected this summer (ajc.com)
In the letters, Willis said she will announce possible criminal indictments between July 11 and Sept. 1, sending one of the strongest signals yet that she’s on the verge of trying to obtain an indictment against Trump and his supporters.
“Please accept this correspondence as notice to allow you sufficient time to prepare the Sheriff’s Office and coordinate with local, state and federal agencies to ensure that our law enforcement community is ready to protect the public,” Willis wrote to Fulton Sheriff Patrick Labat.
Similar letters were hand delivered to Darin Schierbaum, Atlanta’s chief of police, and Matthew Kallmyer, director of the Atlanta-Fulton County Emergency Management Agency.
“We have seen in recent years that some may go outside of public expressions of opinion that are protected by the First Amendment to engage in acts of violence that will endanger the safety of those we are sworn to protect,” Willis wrote. “As leaders, it is incumbent upon us to prepare.”

The Fulton sheriff’s office referred any questions about Willis’s letter to the DA’s office. An APD spokesman said the department stands “ready to respond to demonstrations to ensure the safety of those in our communities and those exercising their First Amendment right, or to address illegal activity, should the need arise.”
I’m perplexed at the pace of Fani Willis’ grand jury indictment. Maybe she’s lobbying those who can move to replace her if they don’t like the results of her grand jury process and its targets. It’s beyond me why it’s taking as long as it is.
Jimmy Kimmel: “Tucker Carlson couldn’t be reached for comment. He was already on his way to Moscow to meet with his manager”
Carlson got fired cause he got too big for his britches and dunderheaded into territory he wasn’t equipped to deal with. Same as it ever was.
He probably thinks himself to be a really smart guy.
doesn’t the tucker still have financial interests in the purveyor of this puff piece that ran yesterday?
Tucker For President? Speculation Mounts After Fox News Exit | The Daily Caller
I admit I’d like to know why he was REALLY fired, and why so viciously.
am a bit leery over indicted, twice impeached loser guy being “shocked” at tuck’s exit. too reminiscent of claude raines’ famous “I’m shocked, shocked to find gambling is going on in here.”
it was only 2 weeks ago that TC made a pilgrimage for an interview down at mal an ego. surely they exchanged (or transacted) some devious plotting during the visit off camera. both need each other’s coattails to run. what does TC have to lose by jumping into the race: either he’s just another contender for loser guy’s vp (like haley or scott) or he surprises and outpaces loser guy winning the nomination. plus in the meantime both are raking in free media attention and campaign donations.

Mark O’Connor Grammy nominated Heroes recording featuring 14 of his violin and fiddle playing heroes was released in 1992. The sequel to the original “Devil Comes Back to Georgia” was done here with an all star cast. Mark O’Connor plays Johnny’s fiddle solo and Marty Stuart is the voice of Johnny. Charlie Daniels plays the Devil’s fiddle solo and Travis Tritt is the voice of the Devil. Johnny Cash is the narrator who recalls this epic duel, “The Devil Comes Back to Georgia”.
When it comes to the Georgia DA… I say… Go Georgia!… Go Atlanta!

“ready to protect the public”
Yep, it sounds like tRUMP is going to be indicted. The MAGAts aren’t going to take to the streets for Rudy or anyone less than the orange one.
The devil called down to Georgia; he was looking for some votes to steal.
Hotlanta.
Trying to post, I’m getting the old webpage crashed message…anybody else?
Good to go now, but it wouldn’t take my link to World Penguin Day, so Happy World Penguin Day, y’all!
today’s meme…
It should be fun watching faux snooze dump off the “personalities” which were the money makers. Yesterday’s reports had the head of the family tree personally firing chucker. If so that comes right after his nuptials were cancelled too. He must have relationship issues this late in life. I do wonder how much control his loin spawn have over operations because I thought he had passed on daily operations to them a few years ago. Or maybe it was they wanted to tame the beast and make it less nuts.
Getting rid of Tucker may actually have been releasing the Cracken, if the insufferable, little putz runs for office. I’ve seen more clips of him in last 24 hours than I ever needed.
Maybe the folks at Faux think canning Tucker will give them an air of legitimacy. It won’t work.
That crazy laugh, though.
One of the little things I have been following in the russian invasion of Ukraine is the number of enemy drones destroyed by Ukraine forces. It had been one or two, sometimes four or five. During the last month the daily count has increased a little bit, yesterday the Ukraine forces reported killing twenty-four of the little things. That is significant as they can be hard to hit. Tiny, a few hundred feet in the air, almost a dot in the sky. I am now wondering if they did not get a new tool to spot and target the things, or possibly hack the system to bring them down. “Buckingham Palace and Rupert Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers reached a secret agreement over historical phone hacking claims, court documents filed on behalf of Prince Harry allege.”
“The phone hacking scandal has cost the Murdoch media empire more than £1 billion ($1.24 billion), according to a 2021 investigation by Press Gazette, an industry publication.”
Word on the street is that murdoch has become senile.
couldn’t resist this one…
Seems the Tucker-story will be more than a one-day wonder.
My one-and-only encounter with Tucker was seeing him at a conference I attended in Seattle, maybe 2010 or 2011. There was an invited panel with him, Howard Fineman, Donna Brazile and Michael Steele. Even then, he seemed self-important. Still, it was surprising at the conclusion to see him sprint off stage, like he couldn’t wait to get out of there. No personable interaction with anyone on the panel or in the audience. Michael Steele was the gentleman who stayed to escort Donna Brazile safely down a set of rickety stair steps. Later, I had a chance one-to-one encounter with Donna. She was such a doll, engaging and personable, astutely picking up at once that my speaking accent was not at all native to my claimed-home town of Birmingham (and I thought I’d mastered it, lol.)
I find the endless and clueless speculation by media pundits on Tuckers demise to be amusing. What is increasingly clear is only Rupert knows why the tuck was given the boot. All those with inside sources are just passing on clueless guesses from said source. Since I’m as clueless as the rest of the world, maybe more so as I don’t follow the Tuck or Fox.
So let me play pundit.
It is obvious that Tucker did something over the weekend that totally pissed Rupert off. As I don’t follow either one I can’t tell you what, but the shocked suddenness I’m getting from “in the know” commentators tells me that something the tuck did last weekend crossed some line with Rupert.
And, after all, Rupert is a very rich man and he doesn’t have to take any shit, from anybody. So bye bye little Tucker.
And I’m not near as rich and I don’t take much shit off of folks either. One of the privileges of being old.

SupperA bit late but that is my world now, sleep in late go to bed late, who cares nothing to do anyway’ A bit of steak with green beans and sautéed spinach in butter and gram masala spice. And of course–
For dessert, some of Preacher Craigs finest sipping whisky.
Last year when I bought this house, the real estate lady brought her husband along, just in case. We found the house I wanted and over supper we did the paperwork. Turns out he is a fan of Elijah Craig whisky too so I told him Craigs family story that he told us one time about being related to the original Elijah Craig, which he enjoyed. So to make up for the time he put in I bought a bottle of Elijah Craig for him. When we closed he returned the favor and gave me a specialty EC whisky called toasted barrel. That is what I’m sipping on tonight, relaxing and enjoying it. It is about gone, just 2 more drinks.
