Hug Zelenskyy fan, here, but how does advocating for armed resistance qualify one for a ‘Peace Prize’?!

Give that man a ‘War Prize’, after he wins it

Bink

Erdogan might deserve a ‘Peace Prize’ if he can help negotiate a cease-fire

i was literally happy to pay $4.15 a gallon to stick it to Putin in my small, personal way, fuck that killer of pregnant women and children, even though India is profiteering from the conflict by buying all the Russian crude at huge discount

https://www.texastribune.org/2022/03/16/texas-fossil-fuel-divestment-ban-inquiry/ “A new law prohibits the state from contracting with or investing in companies that divest from oil, natural gas and coal companies.” “Senate Bill 13, which went into effect in September, prohibits the state from contracting with or investing in companies that divest from oil, natural gas and coal companies. The law defines divestment as refusing to do business with a fossil fuel company because that company does not commit to environmental standards higher than expected by federal and state law.” “Firms that received a letter include U.S.-based companies, like JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Wells Fargo & Company,… Read more »

Seems like the Texas Statehouse might have some crude in the water fountains

Sturgeone

Plenty of crude in the Tx GOP.  Buncha bastards, too.

I now know my home is well protected from Mus musculus, house mouse.  I had a YouTube video running in the background while working.  Chunky was curled up in my arm doing kitty sleep.  All of a sudden her head pops up, I looked over at the television and it was showing a man had trapped a mouse in a live trap.  Chunky then Boo looked over at the screen to find the mouse.  It was in the trap, I could not hear anything, even with my ear to the speaker.  The man took the trap outside to let the… Read more »

Texas thinks it’s going to bully Chase and Wells Fargo?  I’m thinking gnat, flick is going through the top execs in those companies right about now. And I’m guessing that the Cubans and Waltons and Musks of the world aren’t going to stop doing business with 2/3 of the top 3 banks, which hold assets of $4.62T. If the billionaires in Texas (there are 27) continue to do business with Chase, etc., this stupid legislation is as hollow as an empty crude barrel.

“But any people, and even more so the Russian people, will always be able to distinguish true patriots from scum and traitors, and simply spit them out like a gnat that accidentally flew into their mouths, spit them out on the pavement,” he said. For Tatiana Stanovaya, founder of the political analysis firm R. Politik, Putin’s speech proved the leader’s plan has derailed. “It seems to me that everything is starting to crumble with Putin. This speech of his is despair, strong emotion, impotence,” she wrote on her official Telegram account. Pointing to the situation in Russia, Stanovaya argues that… Read more »

In a World on Fire, Stop Burning Things
The truth is new and counterintuitive: we have the technology necessary to rapidly ditch fossil fuels.

China’s call to Biden not good for Putin. Xi said: “The Ukraine crisis is not something we want to see. The events again show that countries should not come to the point of meeting on the battlefield. (China State Media)

The clip of the first light image from the Webb shows a star , and  points of light in the back ground that look like other stars..
They are galaxies  we have never seen before Billions of light years away.

Putin spoke at a stadium rally today, but during his rant the State TV feed abruptly stopped, never returned. Guessing they had protests.

Sturgeone

Wouldn’t surprise me to see the next headline is about a “palace coup”.  Mish-Mushful thinking.

old man

Nothing like giving away  5 Bucks a head to get people to attend your rally .  Then watching them turn right around after they get their tickets punched.
Putin puts the “Moe” back in moron.

old man

Seeing that “First Light” image from the Webb set me to thinking of all those people laying on their backs watching the stars whirl over head for thousands and thousands of years.

It’s such a pity this epic milestone in human history is being drowned out by a sea of tears.

That clip I posted above had a great analogy  about it’s resolution.  If it was on the Moon , you could see the Sydney Opera House, 250,000 miles away.   That is one hell of a infrared eyeball / time machine . All those eyeballs , the Babylonians , the Maya , Copernicus, Edwin Hubble, the freakin’ Druids over all that time has come to the most perfect science instrument ever built , and put exactly where we wanted it. A 1,000, 000 miles from home.  This important , we didn’t have to spend fuel correcting it’s flight path , this… Read more »

Now back to the ocean of tears –   Russian missiles hit a fighter jet repair facility in the closest strike yet to Lviv   The age of fighter jets is dying before our eyes. Ukraine doesn’t have a jet problem , it has a anti-missile problem.  The dog fights over the Yalu River, are as dead as Stalin.  The Kraines are fighting “This War” , for the most part.  Not the past wars.  While I praise president Z , his thinking about no fly zones  and jets is purely Pickets Charge thinking. Remember no general during our Civil War … Read more »

That Putin  2 hour event  last Tuesday  that Frontline did , had this nugget  in it-
He watched  the capture in that culvert of Muammar Gaddafi over, and over again.
Let us all hope when he orders up their nukes, the Generals will save all our asses.

That rally he did , he was wearing a $3,000 coat.

old man

So the latest guess of Russian dead is  7,000 , and 4 generals.
In 3 weeks .
This  larger that all the blood we spent in the last 21 years.

blueINdallas

Has Vlad done a rally like this before, because it looked for all the world like he was copying Orange Adolf. Quoting the Bible was a disgusting touch. The bastard should burst into flames.

That coat was to make his body look swole. Is his face puffy from steroids or too much wrinkle filler?

Putin sees people on a chess board  as pawns .
They can’t move fuel to their tanks , let a lone bring their dead back home.

All this fighting he has done was on tiny poor victims.
In fact , the Russian Army  hasn’t  fought a land war for 33 years .
We on the other hand , have over 20  years . Of lessons learned.
From people than can really bite your ass, wearing used knock-off  Nike’s.

The russian picked u a lot from our orange cockwomble.  He didn’t know until he watched sfb’s actions that the US was so divided and had such a large number of ignorant, gullible, and malleable idiots.
