Not just in Cincinnati but for more than a billion people around the world, it’s the Year of the Tiger.

“But I don’t want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. "Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad." "How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here.” ― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

  1. officially starting tonight when it’s feb 1 across the other, bigger pond

Chun Jie Kuai Le! Happy Lunar New Year.

  2. who dey and more than you want to know about cincy’s mascot

In this video I go over the history of the NFL team the Cincinnati Bengals Mascot Who Dey, and the other mascots they have had over the 50+ years in existence.

  3. I’ve always liked the Cincinnati helmets.  And although I didn’t particularly enjoy LSU with Burrow at the helm, but he is one very good QB.  Should be a good Super Bowl.

So the Georgia racists cop a plea in the federal hate crimes prosecution.  Be interesting to see what it looks like.  10:00 am today.  Stay tuned.

  4. patd… I guess no one can call your team “the Bungles” any longer.  If I was a betting person (which I’m not), I’d put my money down on the Rams…  but my heart will be with Joe Burrows and the Bengals.

Jamie…  I looked up my sign… the horse…  and this year I’m to have smooth sailing and a good money year.

  5. Trump on Saturday, inciting more violence: “If these radical, vicious racist prosecutors do anything wrong or illegal, I hope we are going to have in this country the biggest protest we have ever had … in Washington, D.C, in New York, in Atlanta and elsewhere because our country and our elections are corrupt.”

  6. Why should Russia be a permanent member of UN Security Council with veto power? It’s economy smaller than Italy’s, and Soviet Union long gone. Current members: China, France, Russia, UK, and the United States

  7. Yeah, but:

Russia’s economy will be a lot bigger when it conquers half of Western Europe

The U.S. will be too busy arguing about vaccine-mandates and “CRT” to do anything about it

Trump uses language he knows caused the Jan 6 violence; suggests he’d pardon the Jan 6 defendants, some of whom have been charged with seditious conspiracy; threatens prosecutors; and admits he was attempting to overturn the election. He’d do it all again if given the chance.

  9. no wonder joe’s losing hair with the former guy inciting more violence and turbulence

    the hill:

White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Monday said former President Trump‘s comments over the weekend in which he floated pardons for Capitol rioters and complained that the 2020 election was not “overturned” were a reminder of how unfit Trump is for office.

“He defended the actions of his supporters, who stormed the Capitol and brutally attacked the law enforcement officers protecting it. I think it’s important to shout that out and call that out,” Psaki said at a press briefing when asked about Trump’s comments and potential reforms to the Electoral Count Act.

“He even attacked his own vice president for not, in his words, having overturned the election,” Psaki continued. “And it’s just a reminder of how unfit he is for office. And it’s telling that even some of his closest allies have rejected those remarks as inappropriate in the days since.”

  11. SFB did the job.  Media is now focused on the idiot and not COVID or a false version of the economy or Puttie waving the ketchup stained flag (bloody flag is not there) or anything else. The speculation is deep, will he or will he not?  The what will he do is up the the creative writers of the press and talking heads.  Run in 2024? Be in jail in 2024 (that is a curve ball, the current media wants him out of jail)? Talking gibberish today? Whatever you want, the media will find a way to make it happen.

  12. Judge turns down the McMichaels’ plea deal, (From Atlanta Journal-Constitution).  Judge Wood ain’t lettin’ no crackers or their lawyers tell her how long she’ll sentence them to federal prison before they get to live out their miserable lives in state prison in Georgia.

The father and son convicted of Ahmaud Arbery’s murder agreed to plead guilty Monday to a federal hate crimes charge that would have avoided a second trial in the Black man’s slaying.

But U.S. District Judge Judge Lisa Godbey Wood rejected the plea agreement that would have seen Travis and Greg McMichael sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after several of Arbery’s family members argued against the deal.
“Granting these men their preferred conditions of confinement will defeat me,” Arbery’s mother, Wanda Cooper-Jones, told the judge. “It gives them one last chance to spit in my face after murdering my son.”

Wood made her decision after Travis McMichael entered his guilty plea and before his father was set to do so. Wood then called for a short recess to let Travis McMichael decide whether to let his guilty plea stand, with Wood deciding his ultimate punishment, or to go to trial, set to begin Monday.
After court reconvened, McMichael’s lawyer, Amy Lee Copeland, got Wood’s permission to give McMichael two days to decide what to do. Wood also told attorney A.J. Balbo, who represents Greg McMichael, that he too can take two days to decide.

These KKKluckers done screwed up good, and they ain’t gonna get their problems unscrewed that easily. One of those odd times that you might hope the Federal Judge decides to be lenient and give them the minimum sentence under the guidelines and credit for time served then suspend the remainder of the federal sentence so that they get a quick trip to GA state prison. Of course if there’s room and the Fed Prison System agrees, she could recommend that they get their federal time at Hazelton (WV) maximum security – also known affectionately by the inmates as Misery Mountain. Whitey Bulger found out it’s no walk in the park – when he was killed there while serving his sentence.

  13. I think Joe actually had hair plugs during the Anita Hill era.  Thank goodness we’re not easily distracted from important things.

Still waiting for my test kits and hope I never need them.

I’m still hoping that a rogue lightning bolt finds SFB’s fat, white backside while he’s cheating at golf.
