sturge et al on the shoulder pads,
looks to me like he had to borrow the extra-in-emergency staff hearing jacket that forlornly hangs in the cloak room of all offices. BTW isn’t he one of gym’s congressional staffers? that would answer for a lot. maybe even about the jacket. could be that’s gym’s jacket (note he never seems to wear one on camera – ‘rasslin’ coach thing?) which makes castor the hall tree coat hanger.
sturge, didn’t the original coca cola recipe also have an extra goodie in it?
yes something to do with the coca plant……and then their competitor became “PEP”si…..
The chloroform and heavy metals add that little ting to the zing of that stuff.
Today is one of the first days of the slide into the 2019 holidays. I look forward to the heavy traffic that happens in D.C. this time of year. People driving north. People driving south. People driving to and from D.C. My main route to and from the office involves a stretch of I-595 which goes to the Bay Bridge, which is almost always heavy traffic at this time of the year. Oh, I-595 east of D.C. is usually called U.S. 50. It would be a lot of fun to set up a chair (on a nice warm afternoon), a cooler full of easy consumption goodies and watch the crawl through Annapolis of the traffic heading east. Today is not one of the days.
Ms. Bronc, US Rte. 50 becomes EVIL-by the time it gets to WV. In 72 a friend from law school and I were studying for the bar in Charleston in anticipation of going to work for the firm we both were hired by out of law school. He was hired in the Martinsburg office and decided to drive up to visit it one weekend. The options were I-79 to I-68 to I-81 or I-79 to Us 50 in Clarksburg then to Martinsburg. That was in the days of paper maps and before GPS. He decided to do the I-50 option on the way over Friday. Rte. 50 winds through Grafton to Winchester through the forest and isn’t even listed as an option on Google maps. It took him 6 hours to make the trip over. It took an hour less to drive back on the interstate route. He said the first hour was pretty and after that – pretty and miserable. He swore about the Route 50 trip on and off for weeks after.
In 1972 I had to drive from Columbia sc to meet up with Joe Savage, The Snake Man and his show up in Akron, Ohio. I somehow decided upon the route which led me to the “West Virginia turnpike”. I cursed that road all the way across WV. A dismal experience.
Well, I know there are people who think that taking those smaller roads through West Virginia takes you through the prettiest part of the state. And they’re right. Fine. Let ‘em take those roads. I’ve done that, and if I’ve got nowhere to go and all day to get there I may just do that again some day.
dang sturg, hand that out to senate republicans and they’ll vote however we want on impeachment
That and their extra-strength Kool-Aid might be a lethal combination. Oh well, c’est la guerre.
Sturg…. ROFLMAO!
yeah… give some of that to trumpty dumpty and then hand him his phone…
My grandmother used to talk about making her own cough syrup for children. You didn’t need a prescription and most pharmacists either had their own ready made or sold the ingredients and recipes. Narcotics were in common use.
Pardon? Stone and Trudy –yes Flynn maybe leaning to yes
Bette Midler reminding LA folks to vote today

They should have given the plumbers and mitchell life in prion for kidnapping Mrs Mitchell.
barr & trump should get life in prison for the epstein murder.
Wisconsin’s handling Nebraska pretty easily. Alabama is crushing Miss State.
Minnesota at Iowa in 1 hr 20 mins. Iowa is the betting fave !?! Every Iowegian on earth must have put money on the Hawkeyes.
after that stupid trump tweet yesterday, former GOP congressman and house intel chair mike rogers repeated his great observation: “the only time trump is not shooting himself in the foot is when he’s reloading the gun.”
Bill recaps the top stories of the week, including the latest from the impeachment inquiry and a criminal conviction for Roger Stone.
Butch and Sundance are no lovable rogues in this one.
Stone and Manafort were partners at one time — maybe they can share a cell
XR, early word is that Tua Tagovailoa is out for the season. Dislocated hip and anterior pelvic fracture. If that is the case Mack Jones better find his fucking inner QB cuz it sure as hell wasn’t there in the 2nd half today.
And the Gophers need to step up.

so i’ve determined, that “Vampire Weekend” is this generation’s “Yes”
New Iowa poll
I’m feeling 1976 when I went to Iowa for Jimmy, Pete doing it
patd, LMAO! Love this because he’s driving his people crazy! mike rogers repeated his great observation: “the only time trump is not shooting himself in the foot is when he’s reloading the gun.”
Good for Pete. I like him, but he’s a bit conservative. LOL…
Pete’s turn in the barrel, Dems will cut him down to size
Pogo, from my twitter feed on LA governors election, some solace for Bama’s loss to LSU.
Dave Wasserman @Redistrict
The final margin is likely to be very close. A Dem strategist I just spoke with credits LSU’s win vs. Alabama for voters’ satisfaction w/ direction of state & Edwards’s razor-thin victory
Jack, that strikes me as a possibility although until you mentioned it I hadn’t. I wonder if Carville would agree. Whatever. I’m just glad to see that SFB continues his winning ways.
Fair measure of Zappa in the vampire folks also
Mr Pogo,
I’m sorry about Tua, and hope that he’ll come out all right.
Arrrgh, the Gophers. They didn’t look like the same team. The coaching seemed very conservative in the 1st half.
