brass?
jace, thank you.  those uber-righteous of the right wing should have heeded their biblical scriptures this last week.   such as….
1 Corinthians 13 King James Version (KJV)

13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

in her own words, the owner of the red hen, from wapo:

“I’m not a huge fan of confrontation,” Wilkinson said. “I have a business, and I want the business to thrive. This feels like the moment in our democracy when people have to make uncomfortable actions and decisions to uphold their morals.”

[….]
“I said, ‘I’m the owner,’ ” she recalled, ” ‘I’d like you to come out to the patio with me for a word.’ ”

They stepped outside, into another small enclosure, but at least out of the crowded restaurant.

“I was babbling a little, but I got my point across in a polite and direct fashion,” Wilkinson said. “I explained that the restaurant has certain standards that I feel it has to uphold, such as honesty, and compassion, and cooperation.

“I said, ‘I’d like to ask you to leave.’ ”
[….]
Wilkinson had no regrets about her decision.

“I would have done the same thing again,” she said  “We just felt there are moments in time when people need to live their convictions. This appeared to be one.”

ny times:

Elizabeth Warren Condemned Trump in Reno. He Answered in Las Vegas With a Slur.

[…]
The fast-burning, eight-hour exchange between political rivals came about as an accident of Nevada political scheduling, but it played out far more suggestively — as the most direct confrontation yet between Mr. Trump and one of his leading potential opponents in the 2020 election. And it unfolded on a portentous stage, in the cities and suburbs of a state that is likely to be crucial both in the Democratic presidential primaries and in the general election.
Mr. Trump came to Las Vegas not to needle Ms. Warren, but to raise money for an embattled Republican senator, Dean Heller, seeking re-election in a state where Hillary Clinton beat Mr. Trump in 2016 by a little more than two percentage points. Ms. Warren mapped her own Nevada visit — a swing through Reno and the Las Vegas suburbs — in part to help Mr. Heller’s challenger, Representative Jacky Rosen, and had planned it well before Mr. Trump revealed that he would be in town.
[…]
“Wacky Jacky is campaigning with Pocahontas,” Mr. Trump announced, tagging Ms. Rosen with a derisive nickname of her own. “You believe this? In your state?”
His audience laughed along and erupted in boos aimed at Ms. Warren and Ms. Rosen, seemingly encouraging Mr. Trump

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has identified 69-year-old Helen White from Ravenel as the victim that died in the crash on US 17 in Charleston County Friday night. Authorities say White was driving her car the wrong direction on US 17

Jace, resizing depends on what device, software you have. I’d say google “image resize” and your device name (e.g. I-Pad, Droid etc.) to get instructions. Also note we are limited to file types jpg, gif and png.

Good luck Jace. If your photos are half as fun as your music, we must see. Also, I find that cropping or rotating pics (also an editing function) automatically downsizes them.

And of course I can’t say for sure, but with an iPhone it may be that there is a different extension. The picture I tried to send claims it’s 2.1 my legs, which is only 40% of the limit. Have to be looking into this a little more closely I suppose.

SHS used her government twitter account to respond to being asked to leave The Red Hen.    She has a personal account, but chose to use the government one.

That might turn out to be ethically problematic in the long run.  It’ll have to be the long run because those crybabies just ain’t interested in ethics and such….

Slanders Suckabee has no problem with excluding other people from public accommodations based on people’s idea of their own individual rights so when she is excluded for being a Quisling she shouldn’t complain.  I guess the owner should have said she was excluding fat ass on the basis of her religious beliefs.  That lying and cheating is a sin and she does not want sinners in her establishment — maybe that would be more understandable to the fake christian  working as SFB’s Bahgdad   Bob.

She is going to hell.  That is if she really believes it exists.
I’m glad people are flocking to her restaurant – it takes courage to do what she did and more people need to confron the enablers whether it’s voters or people working in the administration. Make them defend themselves they cannot.

Lovely piece I’m sure Jace ..Mr C and I listened to the beginning but we both have hangovers so maybe more later.

Just look and listen its a short vid….just incredible! Seems like Obama was almost as bad, he lost 1500 children.  And like i said….we need to follow the money.  Defense contractors have already been giving contracts to house, feed, take care of immigrants….thru 2024…….this vid needs to be talked about laving out the Obama part……i dont know if the the ACLU reports are real…will try to verify….ACLU reports that Obama was just as bad????

Katherine Graham Cracker

who cares if Obama was “just as bad.”   He is not in office now and it’s not about who is worse; it’s about now and making sure the victims of whoever’s policy it is — are made whole.  By talking about Obama and other administrations it provides an excuse to do nothing.

Im not a RAH RAH rah type of guy…..i want them both out……..we desperately need campaign finance reform term limits….and a third and fourth party…….

I used to feel somewhat guilty ….when the 2008 financial crises happened….i know that down deep inside that wanted for the ca lapse of the whole system….start over fresh……this just makes me not ashamed that i felt that way……i thought that i was being selfish….at my age…….thinking now that i will just ride this out and laugh at anything that they do…or anything that comes along with this ratchet system party…..one tees it up….the other hits a hole in one for the 1%…….

Or go over to Peru…..the have a stone  structure (too little to call it a mountain)…..it looks like an Indian dewling…roof slants down of the ground…..has an deep outline of an actual door……and what it is a portal to another dimension…. maybe some thing will make sense in the quantum world …….

wapo:
President Trump on Sunday explicitly advocated depriving undocumented immigrants of their due-process rights, arguing that people who cross the border into the United States illegally must immediately be deported without trial — and sowing more confusion among Republicans ahead of a planned immigration vote this week.

In a pair of tweets sent during his drive to his Virginia golf course, Trump described immigrants as invaders and wrote that U.S. immigration laws are “a mockery” and must be changed to take away trial rights from undocumented migrants.

“We cannot allow all of these people to invade our Country,” Trump wrote. “When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judges or Court Cases, bring them back from where they came. Our system is a mockery to good immigration policy and Law and Order. Most children come without parents.”

The president continued in a second tweet, “Our Immigration policy, laughed at all over the world, is very unfair to all of those people who have gone through the system legally and are waiting on line for years! Immigration must be based on merit — we need people who will help to Make America Great Again!”

Another great idea from the narcissist – let’s forget about the judges and courts.

“We cannot allow all of these people to invade our Country. When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judges or Court Cases, bring them back from where they came. Our system is a mockery to good immigration policy and Law and Order. Most children come without parents…”

American Red Cross is applying lessons learned from the last few years disasters, especially last year’s hurricanes, in updating and creating courses for staff and volunteers.  Since Friday I have taken three of the new or updated courses for higher level volunteers and office staff.  One course was the “second” time it was taught, the first time was a run through office staff to get the timing down.  But, the courses are good and will be important in this next hurricane/fire/earthquake/flood/etc season.  I am the Disability Integration Regional Program Lead, which means all of Maryland, Delaware and the Virginia counties of the Delmarva.

Goodness how fast a weekend goes when you are in class for nine hours, plus an hour of travel each way.

I have decided to put off until tomorrow sometime reading or watching what SFB has done during the time I have not been online.  No need to get pissed off.

Trump: Deport without ‘judges or court cases’ https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/24/politics/ron-johnson-immigration-cnntv/index.html

No wonder Nikki Hayley is distancing the US from the UN with regard to immigration. It looks like Trumpco wants to give international law the bird when it comes to those seeking asylum.

As for Obama & immigration, a few years ago when some Walmart’s closed & there were reports of military vehicles seen entering those areas…I guess they were prepping detention centers & didn’t want Americans to know then, either.

SCOTUS has weighed in on at least 5 occasions and clarified that aliens, both legal and illegal, enjoy the rights afforded by the 14th, 1st, 4th, 5th & 6th amendments. Zadvydas v. Davis (2001) and Plyler v. Doe (1982) are the most recent of over a century of decisions explaining what rights people coming into the US have. There’s a specific statute signed into law by Bill Clinton that provides that folks seeking asylum cannot be removed until their asylum claims have been considered. SFB and Ernie are trying to turn that law on its head. Assholes.
