Donald Trump Suffers MAGA Backlash Over Commonwealth Proposal: ‘Hell No!’
Trump responded to an article in U.K. tabloid The Sun suggesting Charles could invite the U.S. to become an associate member of the Commonwealth, which has the king as its head.
There has been no official confirmation of the story but the president wrote “I Love King Charles. Sounds good to me!” on Truth Social prompting a clapback online.
We escaped the tyranny of England a very long time ago, and there is NOTHING the so called ‘king’ can offer which would be advantageous.
Another wrote: “NO! King Charles has been amongst the top players of WEF, for years. He’s a globalist. Americans do not want to join their Commonwealth. The U.K. allowed itself to fall to muslim invaders & Charles has ‘secret offer’ for you? Hard no from ALL of your supporters!”

https://www.newsweek.com/social-security-overpayments-seniors-pay-government-mistakes-2048526
The Social Security Administration (SSA) has reneged on a previous promise to stop harsh penalties for seniors who have been overpaid benefits, which could mean some seniors will have to “pay for the government’s mistakes.”
Under the Biden administration, in an effort to ease the burden of overpayments on beneficiaries—many of whom have been incorrectly paid through no fault of their own—the SSA announced it would begin collecting 10 percent of a person’s total monthly Social Security benefit rather than 100 percent as it previously did to recover an overpayment.
However, the Trump administration has made quick work of undoing this: on March 7, the federal agency announced it would reinstate the 100 percent withholding rate. This means that any overpayment made by the SSA would see the recipient’s benefits withheld to pay off the balance.
The new withholding rate will apply to any overpayment made after March 27, and previous incorrect payments will not be impacted. It does not apply to overpayments for Supplemental Security Income.
*Seems cruel and mobsterish.

growing split is emerging between the Kremlin and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (CBR) over the latter’s wartime economic policies, according to the Institute for the Study of War’s (ISW) Sunday assessment.
The Kremlin wants to portray the Russian economy as resilient despite Western sanctions caused by Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine that began in February 2022.
Business leaders in Russia are unhappy at the record high key interest rate of 21 percent imposed by the CBR, which is headed by Elvira Nabiullina, who is widely regarded as the key figure maintaining stability in Russia’s sanctions-hit economy.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is trying to shift blame onto the CBR and Nabiullina in particular to deflect business community anger, according to the ISW, a U.S.-based think tank, citing a prominent Telegram channel that reports on Kremlin insider news.
The CBR now faces an audit that is designed to exert pressure on Nabiullina as tension grows between her and the Kremlin over her stewardship of the economy.
High military spending and a shortage of workers fueled by losses in the ongoing war with Ukraine spiked the actual inflation rate to a far higher 25 percent than official figures show, creating a case for the CBR to raise the key rate even further last week, the ISW said.

A pro-Donald Trump influencer was arrested on Saturday for using a Taser-like object on protestors at an anti-Tesla event in Berkeley, California.
Ricardo Ruiz, 33, was arrested at the scene after allegedly using the weapon to ward off protesters who he said had pulled his hair.
In an unverified video of the incident captured by a protestor, Ruiz can be seen cycling past the demonstration before stopping after two attendees appear to confront him. He then reaches into his jacket and thrusts his arm at the two protestors while holding a black object. A woman then grabs his hair and pulls him off his bike.

A group of around 150 protestors were lined up outside the West Palm Beach Tesla dealership around 1 p.m. Saturday when a black Nissan Pathfinder SUV drove slowly into the crowd.
“He drove into a crowd of senior citizens,” said Mark Offerman of the Democratic Progressive Caucus Palm Beach County about the driver. “Everybody was able to move out, but two older women were really almost clipped. We immediately called the cops.”
Tutil parked on the sidewalk where protestors were standing and jumped out, saying his brakes and electronics had gone out, and he claimed to be a West Palm Beach Tesla employee, Offerman said.
Police questioned Tutil and witnesses, viewed photo and video evidence, and arrested him.
Tutil, 44. is a retired U.S. Army captain and civil engineer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Palm Beach Gardens, according to a bio page at TrumpettesUSA.com.

https://www.thecut.com/article/elon-musk-daughter-vivian-wilson-teen-vogue.html
On Tuesday, Elon Musk’s estranged daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, appeared on the cover of Teen Vogue, giving her second-ever public interview. Wilson, who is a trans woman and has said her father harassed her for presenting as queer as a child, did not hold back, calling Musk “cringe” and a “pathetic man-child.”
It seems like Musk didn’t take that too well — shortly after Wilson’s interview went live, he used his X platform to spread a conspiracy theory that claims trans people are attacking and vandalizing Teslas.
Wilson has been speaking out against her father — mostly on Threads, the Meta-owned X competitor — since last summer, when she debunked claims Musk was making about her childhood. (Musk, meanwhile, has repeatedly deadnamed her and claimed that his “son” was “killed by the woke mind virus.”)
She maintained her sense of candor for Teen Vogue, revealing that she hasn’t spoken to her father since 2020, the year she came out as trans. “Why would I feel scared of him? Ohhh, he has so much power,” she said. “Nah, nah, nah. I don’t give a fuck. Why should I be scared of this man? Because he’s rich? Oh, no, I’m trembling. Ooh, shivering in my boots here. I don’t give a fuck how much money anyone has. I don’t. I really don’t. He owns Twitter. Okay. Congratulations.”
She then brought up his stiff-armed salute at Donald Trump’s inauguration, commenting, “The Nazi-salute shit was insane. Honey, we’re going to call a fig a fig, and we’re going to call a Nazi salute what it was. That shit was definitely a Nazi salute.”
As for Wilson, it seems that she’s been thriving in the years since she cut off her father. She’s studying in Tokyo, dreams of becoming a Twitch streamer, and has a good relationship with her mom. As for her current feelings about Musk, she told Teen Vogue, “I don’t give a fuck about him.”

The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.
The world found out shortly before 2 p.m. eastern time on March 15 that the United States was bombing Houthi targets across Yemen.
I, however, knew two hours before the first bombs exploded that the attack might be coming. The reason I knew this is that Pete Hegseth, the secretary of defense, had texted me the war plan at 11:44 a.m. The plan included precise information about weapons packages, targets, and timing.
***
https://thehill.com/policy/defense/5211030-us-houthi-attacks-yemen/
Jeffrey Goldberg, editor in chief of The Atlantic, was apparently included in a Trump administration group chat on Signal in which top officials debated and then discussed details of attacks against Houthi rebels in Yemen.
The initial invite to the group apparently came from national security adviser Mike Waltz. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reportedly sent the group details including weapons used, targets, and timing — two hours ahead of the attacks, which began March 15.
Others in the group were Vice President Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and CIA Director John Ratcliffe.
In the stunning report, Goldberg claimed Waltz connected with him on Signal on March 11 and, two days later, he was invited to join a chain called the “Houthi PC small group,” in which they discussed strikes against the Houthi militant group in Yemen — seemingly unaware of the journalist’s presence in the group.
He wrote that he initially had strong doubts the text group was real, “because I could not believe that the national-security leadership of the United States would communicate on Signal about imminent war plans.”
Goldberg also said he “could not believe that the national security adviser to the president would be so reckless as to include him in the discussions with senior U.S. officials.”
Vance, who was traveling to Michigan at the time, told the group: “I think we are making a mistake” with the strikes, arguing that 3 percent of U.S. trade runs through the Suez Canal, as does 40 percent of European trade.
“There is a real risk that the public doesn’t understand this or why it’s necessary. The strongest reason to do this is, as POTUS said, to send a message,” Vance says.
“I am not sure the president is aware how inconsistent this is with his message on Europe right now,” Vance continued, arguing the strikes could risk spiking oil prices.
Vance then appears to acquiesce to Hegseth, telling him: “If you think we should do it let’s go. I just hate bailing Europe out again.”
Hegseth responded: “I fully share your loathing of European free-loading. It’s PATHETIC. But Mike is correct, we are the only ones on the planet (on our side of the ledger) who can do this. Nobody else even close. Question is timing. I feel like now is as good a time as any, given POTUS directive to reopen shipping lanes. I think we should go; but POTUS still retains 24 hours of decision space.”
The next day, March 15, Hegseth at 11:44 a.m. sends the group operational details about the Yemen strikes, which Goldberg does not detail due to U.S. military and intelligence safety concerns.

Greenland’s outgoing Prime Minister Mute Egede called plans by the U.S. delegation to visit an American military base and attend a dog sled race a “provocation”, and said his caretaker government would not meet with the group.
Trump said his administration was working with “people in Greenland” who want something to happen, but did not elaborate.
“They’re calling us,” he said. “We’re not calling them.”

Espionage Act could be back to haunt Trump and team: what is it and how could it be applied to latest gaff?
Back in 2023, between his presidential terms, Donald Trump became the most high-profile person ever charged under the Espionage Act, for unlawfully retaining sensitive national defense records. Facing 37 criminal counts, including 31 related to classified documents, obstruction of justice, conspiracy, and false statements, his legal troubles set a precedent for how the century-old law could be applied to a then former U.S. president.
The Espionage Act, passed in 1917, is an anti-spying law that criminalizes the mishandling of sensitive government records related to national defense. Over the years, the Justice Department has applied it against spies, whistleblowers, and high-profile figures like Daniel Ellsberg (Pentagon Papers), Edward Snowden (NSA leaks), Chelsea Manning (WikiLeaks disclosures), and Julian Assange, who is still fighting extradition to the U.S.
*Reminder that tRUMPutin was charged for having top secret docs in the john at his house. WTF didn’t they move faster in that?
Time to call your Representative and call for Hegseth to be impeached. Espionage Act violation for any and all parties? Did Hegseth even get a security clearance? None of our allies will trust us from this point on. Is this something the military might want to take care of? Oh, yeah, they fired JAG and the upper-echelon of military personnel. Why? To make it easier for Putin to take over? This is nuts, whether they are stupid enough to not use secure channels or if it was intentional? Everyone on the group chat knew this was sensitive intel…and yet it was a group chat.
https://www.seattletimes.com/nation-world/usda-cancels-500m-in-food-deliveries-leaving-food-banks-scrambling/
Food banks across the country — already facing huge cuts to locally grown food assistance — learned this week that the U.S. Department of Agriculture is canceling $500 million in expected food deliveries, further disrupting help at a time when need continues to rise.
Vince Hall, chief government relations officer at Feeding America, the country’s largest hunger-relief organization, said some local food banks and food pantries were told that USDA deliveries of commodities such as cheese and meat are being canceled at least temporarily. Many others were not notified by federal officials that their deliveries were not coming, he said.
The USDA did not respond to a request for comment.
One of every six Americans sought food from food banks in 2023, according to a Feeding America study. That was a 38% increase from 2021.

Kelly, D-Ariz., who is a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, offered a sharp rebuke to the Trump administration over the conduct of Hegseth, whom Kelly painted as unsuited for his position during confirmation hearings.
Written as an all-capital letters “notice to White House staff,” Kelly said Monday:
“There is a room in the building and secure systems where you are supposed to have these discussions. SIGNAL ain’t it. Your recklessness put the lives of those pilots at risk. You got lucky! Time to reevaluate the way you are doing things.”
Could anyone else have accessed the group chat in Signal surreptitiously?
bId – the question of whether any IC agencies from around the world would be trying to listen in to the Secretary Defense does have answer. Every one of them. Any way he communicates would be under attack for access. Now that several names have been associated with the Signal channel gives tons of information, not only about him, but about all of the names, and not named.
If you know part of my access, but not all. They you learn X has the same access, but you do not know much there, but combining what you know about two people with the same access gives you a lot more information about both.
In terms of security breaches, this is one of the big ones. Enemies and friendlies know much more than before. He should be in jail.
The next part is could others have joined in to the Signal meeting. I do not have an answer for that. Signal is fairly secure in terms of breaking in. It uses several secure protocols to ensure privacy. The originator of the meeting invites specific people, via phone number or id. A secure path is established and the meeting proceeds. Whether an outsider could spoof a phone number and piggy back in is doubtful. But, in the world of Spy versus Spy (Mad Magazine) we never know – or in normal world – we would not know.

https://www.cnn.com/2025/03/24/business/trump-venezuela-oil-tariffs/index.html
President Donald Trump said Monday that he will impose tariffs of 25% on any nation that purchases oil from Venezuela.
“Venezuela has been very hostile to the United States and the Freedoms which we espouse. Therefore, any Country that purchases Oil and/or Gas from Venezuela will be forced to pay a Tariff of 25% to the United States on any Trade they do with our Country,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
This news comes after reports that Trump is set to delay prior tariffs he announced, including charging 25% on imports of pharmaceuticals, cars and lumber. Those tariffs were set to go into effect on April 2, the same day Trump’s said he’ll announce a number of reciprocal tariffs on other nations — a day he refers to as “liberation day.”
*How in the F does he plan to monitor who buys their oil?
*Liberation Day sounds ominous. Probably also plans on declaring martial law that day. Very Orwellian…or just syphilitic dementia.
