Kneeling yesterday for a photo op with Medal of Honoree Col. Puckett and the day before he “got down on one knee” to show his gratitude to a Kennedy Center honoree.

after the 4 years of the former guy strutting, bullying braggadocio it was startling and moving to see a POTUS kneel down to accommodate a photo op for someone other than himself. the visiting pres. moon (to me looking somewhat surprised) followed his lead and knelt too.

My then girlfriend’s grandmother around 66-67 had several Joan Baez folk music albums and she loved her. I was enthralled by the purity of her voice. At some point in time Al Capp had begun to lampoon Joan as “Joanie Phoanie” and that was when I parted ways with Li’l Abner.
