Trump’s Rough Night

Trump had so much trouble taking punches in last night’s debate you have to wonder why it took so long for his rivals to start pounding so hard. For the guy who has staked his game on being authentic Trump actually revealed his phony side, prevaricating issues from fraud lawsuits against his sketchy university to his refusals to release off the record news interviews. His thin skin was melting down.

  1. “Is that loyalty oath legally binding? If not, expect Trump to be the 3rd-party nominee.  He’ll bolt and take the people the RNC dismissed with him.”

blueid, he can easily point to them being the first to junk the oath, their promise to support whoever is the nominee.  gotta lotta folks on tape.  but he’ll play this out to the convention if he can… free and fully covered 24/7 tv.

guess what he’ll name his new 3rd party — in gilded letters no doubt.  red ball caps will be the new uniform to show one’s gang id… they’re easier than brown shirts which have to be washed now and then.

  2. Remember the El Mystico sketch from Monty Python? A hypnotist (Terry Jones) was paid to “construct” apartment buildings through the use of hypnosis. When people believed, they stayed up. As soon as anyone expressed doubt, they collapsed.

  3. sjwny – Yes, that sketch is how consumer confidence impacts the economy.  Ya gotta believe or down it goes.  The same for egomaniacs.  Clap for Trumperbell.  C’mon, give him a HAND.  🙂

    I’m sorry I missed it.

Look forward to whatever Webb has to say, assuming it will be posted here later. Gotta work.

  4. Mr Ed Cox, NYS Republican Party Chairman, said this morning NY’s Primary may actually be relevant this year. / Truth or wishful thinking?

  5. Apparently Hillary or someone on her staff was having as much fun as the rest of us watching that GOP display

    Perfect Mocking

Linked article ends: “At least Democrats can feel comforted knowing that BOTH of their candidates are viable, full of substance, and want to work for the American people, not themselves. This election is far too important to be left in the hands of those who just hurl insults at one another. Remember folks, no matter who — vote blue.”

  6. Just read CNN’s review of the debate.  I don’t think they were watching the same one you guys watched.  Maybe they have a special divice that filters out crazy?

  7. Jim Webb just echoed what I said last night, “You do not obey an illegal order”.  You have to live with the consequences but you do not obey it.

  8. Well as I said, Jim is not a Democrat.  He’s Independent/3rd party or Republican.  Time to stop pretending to be anything else.

  9. from wapo story: Donald Trump Jr. stumbles out of father’s shadow and into the spotlight with white nationalist interview

He blamed the media, just like his dad.

“This is clearly the mainstream media trying to turn a story into something, much like they did with my father, who I witnessed denouncing David Duke and any KKK endorsement on multiple occasions,” Trump Jr. said.

“The way the media is spinning it is as though I voluntarily spoke with this guy and I knew his background, rather than I was essentially duped by him being in the room and asking an inane question where I clearly could not have ever known what or whom I was talking to. It’s very unfair, and typical of the way much of the media has handled us.”

bad bad media. hurt hims feelings. poor drumpf jr. hard to grow up rich.

  10. jim webb on msnbc
Former Dem. candidate: I won’t vote Clinton
Fmr. Sen. Jim Webb, D-Va., joins Morning Joe to discuss Thursday’s GOP debate, Trump’s remarks on military policy and enhanced interrogation, running as an Independent and which candidate he will support. …

  11. webb said with certainty he will not vote for hillary, but “i’m not sure yet” when asked about drumpf.

  12. Please notice that trump the lesser (and lessor) blames the mainsprung me me me me media, rather than the kkk/neo-nazi media. The horse apple doesn’t fall far from the ass.

  13. trump’s technique for negotiating is simple. He gives his opposites – the vendors, lenders, employees, contractors, governmental units, potential buyers, and potential sellers (read these as The Enemies) enough to close the deal. When the ink is dry, trump allows the bankruptcy court re-negotiate everything for him. This is the real secret of trump’s art of the deal.

The downfall of trump will recapitulate the trajectory of a Shakespearean tragedy. However, in the place of a towering hero or villain, trump is a mean, vulgar, and petty man – a cross between Glengarry Glen Ross characters Blake and Ricky Roma.
