The series addresses Epstein’s alleged co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell, his links with billionaire Leslie Wexner, founder of the Victoria Secrets clothing line, and others, as well as the non-prosecution deal he was given.
    The special followed on the heels of Netflix’s release of “Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich,” a mini-series that draws on a book of the same name by James Patterson. 
    Promotional material for “Who Killed Jeffery Epstein?” promises that:  “… exclusive interviews and in-depth investigations reveal new clues about his seedy underworld, privileged life and controversial death. The three-hour special looks to answer the questions surrounding the death of this enigmatic figure.”  Netflix billed its series this way: “Stories from survivors fuel this docuseries examining how convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein used his wealth and power to carry out his abuses.”
    Neither documentary however deals at all with Epstein’s suspected ties to the world of intelligence.

  36. Because we are both retired and live in a fairly isolated place our lives are not that much different except for the social, fun part.  Even though we have each other and are fairly entertaining.  It is not enough.  I miss my friends and going out.  
    The friends we are going to see are very interesting.  He worked for Harry Dent in the Nixon White House and later became the head of NORML in the 70’s.  Still kind of conservative but not a gooper anymore.  She grew up in Mexico where her Scottish father ran a sugar factory.  I’ll be the youngest there at 74.

    While I’m grateful to no longer have ice on the walls in the winter, or to have to boil water for dishes and baths, or use an outhouse like I did growing up, economic disparity is only magnified by advertising.  When I was a kid, I thought everyone had all of the stuff I saw on TV.  Well,  I still don’t have all the stuff, stuff, stuff, and, I realize that not everyone else does, either.   So, while there are very real problems like homelessness, food deserts, and, access to healthcare and internet, I hope the message doesn’t get overshadowed by what advertisers want folks to think they must have or they are missing out.  Envy is a powerful marketing tool.

  134. bink, that was how a lot of healthcare workers got thru the time when PPEs were in short supply and they had to make their surgical masks last for a week.  they would wash the cloth covering every night when they went home.
