  1. Donald Trump stock market outlook: Donald Trump rubs it in, says ‘Things are going very well’ after worst stock market crash in years following Liberation Day tariffs – The Economic Times

While speaking to reporters before he leaving the White House to attend a Saudi-backed golf tournament at his club in Doral, Florida, Trump was unbothered by the Dow Jones Industrial Average’s decline of over 1,600 points, reported AP. It was the biggest market decline in years since the COVID-19 pandemic, as per AP.

  2. People disgusted after seeing how Trump is spending his day following worst stock market crash since 2020

People are not happy after finding out how Donald Trump has been spending his time after his controversial ‘Liberation Day’ speech.

OK, so presidents have the right to engage in a little downtime, just like the rest of us do.

But social media users were not best pleased that after seeing the stock market lose $2 trillion in seconds, the president was away from the White House.

It all began when Trump stated that he wanted to boost his country’s economy by implementing trade rates with international partners.

  3. As I was driving home from work yesterday, I saw a person riding a bicycle downtown. They were carrying a sign on a stick that read: Nobody elected Elon.

  4. To summarize, we’re 75 days into Pumpkin Head’s second term, and people are protesting everywhere. Markets have had two days of apocalyptic losses. There are innocent grad students and professors being disappeared, and a man with an autism awareness tattoo was sent to a death camp in El Salvador. Elon has taken a chainsaw to the federal government dismembering everything from food safety to bank regulation to cancer research. Oh, and in his spare time Trump has started a Worldwide Trade War.

Almost forgot: RFKjr is killing children.

What to Know About Nationwide ‘Hands Off’ Protests on April 5

Numerous organizations and activists across hundreds of cities in every state are galvanizing to send a message to President Donald TrumpElon Musk and others supporting the current administration’s agenda: “Hands Off.”

Hands Off! is described as a pro-democracy, pro-worker movement taking place “in defiance of the Trump-Musk billionaire takeover and the Republican assault on our freedoms and our communities.”

Organizations including Third Act, Indivisible, MoveOn, Fight Back Table and countless others have been urging a groundswell of support from individuals across all political ideologies, claiming that the current administration is engaging in an “illegal power grab” equating to “a crisis we must stop.”

ps – These PEACEFUL protests are global!

    1) Will Adolf’s goons agitate violence (or just create it amongst themselves) so another ~emergency~ can be declared like those for the border or his phony-baloney tariffs?

    2) Will the evening news give any decent coverage to these protests unless there is violence?

pps – Considering the number of men with sexual assault charged and/or convictions against in this administration, starting with SFB, I love the banner for these protests: HANDS OFF!

  6. By the way, the rest of the world is starting to refer to us as the “”US Empire” now.

How do we get all of these absolute F-ers out of office?

It will take more than a village. It will take the world.

The RussoRepublicans voting for tax cuts for billionaires and cuts to social services are monsters, and they are also fools. Do they really think that as the rest of the world makes new alliances and goes on without us, that the degradation of this country won’t start to impact them, too? They may end up actually eating the dogs and cats.

When the tariffs don’t bring back industry, and we have fewer jobs with depressed wages, and Adolf still needs to punish someone, will the military go along with him when he calls for a nuclear option? It’s coming. You know it’s coming. Give it a year. Maybe on the OG Sh/tler’s birthday.

Adolf will probably want to use nukes, and it will be to show he is not weak. He is heartless. He is stupid. He is weak because of his ego. His flaws imperil the world.

  7. This is how hostage takers think…Trump:

“Every country’s called us. That’s the beauty of what we do. We put ourselves in the driver’s seat.”

  8. He doesn’t see dead people.

Donald Trump to Skip US Soldier Memorial, White House Confirms

The four soldiers—Troy S. Knutson-Collins, 28; Jose Duenez Jr., 25; Edvin F. Franco, 25; and Dante D. Taitano, 21—were part of the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division. They went missing during a tactical training mission in Lithuania on March 25. Their armored vehicle was discovered submerged in a peat bog the next day, and it took days to recover their bodies.

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda attended a departure ceremony in Vilnius on Thursday as the soldiers’ remains were repatriated.

  9. If anyone needs song recommendations for the resistance, this is a portion of mine. The 2025 most-played review will be wild for many…if we make it.

  10. Although twit and fb have somehow reduced viewing of posts supporting 4-5 Hands Off, a few have made it through to people.

Something is going on and it is dark. I am seeing more references to krasnov becoming room temperature, and not by cheeseburger. These are not just on liberal posts either. Most are wishing him ill will, but every now and then one stands out. I am letting others dig into whether it is russian bot or an instigator, or itis someone actually posting it. Does the Secret Service or FBI see those? I don’t know. Are those picked up by filters in the social media? Most likely.

The look to me is more of them every day. Some people are feeling the destruction of the federal, state, local governments, and the white male supremacy with nazi overtones. Others have some other beef with sfb admin. No matter, there is an increase in these.

  11. How did it end for Hitler & Mussolini? Sh/tler will be in a bunker (maybe on a golf course) whimpering because he pissed off too many folks in too many countries. It won’t end well for anyone who propped him up. The only question is how long will it take & how bad will it get before that day comes.

Personally, I don’t think Denmark should even discuss adding more US bases or troops to Greenland. He will have it if allowed to occupy it.

No country should give an inch, because he will continually exploit anyone. He sees any acquiescence as weakness. He’s a grapist. He treats everyone as badly as he treats women.

Allied forces will need to isolate the “US Empire.” Cut all ties. Get your diplomats out before they are sent to El Salvador in retaliation for some perceived wrong. Close your embassies. None of this is normal. Adolf is not normal. Thiel/Musk/Yarvin are not normal. The Heritage Foundation is not normal. RUN!

  12. BB – Not as many videos of protests in the US, because there was a warning: DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE

  13. Trump is basically living in the 1950s when coming out of WW II, the US was pretty much the only game on the globe while Europe and Asia were crawling out from under the rubble. Manufacturing and factories were at their height. As we went into the early 60s Boomers had the best of all worlds with the rich being taxed, plentiful jobs and a pear-shaped economy that blessed the middle class. Then came the assassinations of JFK, MLK, Malcome X, and RFK, the riots.

Europe rebuilt, Asia became low cost manufacturing as technology made many factories obsolete or needing fewer and fewer employees. Huge Social Security deposits theoretically into funds but actually in the general budget made it possible to lower tax rates on the wealthy from 91% to 37%.

Everything Trump is doing while Congress sits on their keisters doing nothing is cruising to a crash.

Senate GOP approves framework for Trump’s tax breaks and spending cuts
Senate Republicans plugged away overnight and into early Saturday morning to approve their multitrillion-dollar tax breaks and spending cuts framework, hurtling past Democratic opposition toward what President Donald Trumpcalls the “big, beautiful bill” that’s central to his agenda.

The vote, 51-48, fell along mostly party lines, but with sharp dissent from two prominent Republicans. It could not have come at a more difficult political moment, with the economy churning after Trump’s new tariffs sent stocks plummeting and experts warning of soaring costs for consumers and threats of a potential recession. Republican Sens. Susan Collins of Maine and Rand Paul of Kentucky both voted against the measure.

The Senate package pulls in other GOP priorities, including $175 billion to bolster Trump’s mass deportation effort, which is running short of cash, and an additional $175 billion for the Pentagon to build up the military, from an earlier budget effort.

One crucial challenge ahead will be for the House to accept the way the Senate’s budget plan allows for extending the tax cuts under a scoring method that treats them as not adding to future deficits, something many House Republicans reject. A new estimate from the Joint Committee on Taxation projects the tax breaks will add $5.5 trillion over the next decade when including interest, and $4.6 trillion not including interest.

In 2027, about 45% of the benefit of all the tax cuts would go to those making roughly $450,000 or more, according to the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center, which analyzes tax issues.

The House’s version has $4.5 trillion in tax breaks over 10 years and some $2 trillion in budget cuts, and pointed at changes to Medicaid, food stamps and other programs. Some House Republicans have panned the Senate’s approach.

Already, the GOP leaders are confronting concerns from fiscal hawks who want trillions of dollars in spending cuts to help pay for the tax breaks. At the same time, dozens of lawmakers in swing districts and states are worried about what those cuts will mean for their constituents, and for their reelection chances.

The framework now goes to the House, where Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., could bring it up for a vote as soon as next week as he works toward a final product by Memorial Day.

*Memorial Day, when we lay flowers at the tomb of democracy. Cuts to Medicaid, Veterans benefits, SS, SNAP, school lunches (which are actually farm subsidies)…so those who already have too much can have more.

Question: Federal employees (illegally fired), layoffs at auto manufacturers due tariffs, support jobs in communities across the nation because folks without jobs don’t have money to spend, nor do they pay taxes, a shrinking economy…fewer taxes will be paid in by the wealthy and jobless, alike. How does this work?

  15. OK, I’m going to watch the rain and maybe pick flowers off of the redbud tree to make tea (and jelly if the tea is good), other than that…

  16. bId – I think it was during the meeting in Helsinki that puttie told krasnov his future if he did anything not according to the dictates. The KGB (old and new) understood their agent very well. Low intelligence and all the other things, making him the perfect tool.

Not only is krasnov under the russian thumb, most of his cabinet and support staff are also Moscow visitors, some multiple visits. Most of the Congress critters who spent the Fourth of July in Moscow instead of the U.S. are still in office. Anyone going to russia is not going for the weather.

There is no doubt that they all avoid windows and drinking tea now.

  17. i’m watching two toy dogs for the weekend and they didn’t like me at first but nowwww…

    they do 😊

(i was told they can be difficult, they’re not. Living their best lives right now and not sure how to feel about it)

  18. https://www.npr.org/2025/04/03/nx-s1-5351768/trumps-va-is-ending-a-rescue-program-thats-saved-17-000-military-veterans-homes

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs said Thursday that it will end a mortgage-rescue program designed to help veterans who have fallen behind on their mortgages keep their homes.

Republican critics in Congress don’t like that VASP buys the rescued loans from the mortgage industry, and then holds the loans on the VA’s own books. They say that puts too much taxpayer money at risk.

*Plus, predatory investment groups could buy up those foreclosed on properties for a song, keep them off the market for a bit, and drive up housing prices even more.

Veterans groups, housing advocates, and mortgage company executives all say they believe that ending VASP without replacing it with another affordable option for veterans who have fallen behind on their loan payments could result in unnecessary foreclosures.

Loans backed by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA all have low-interest rate loan modification or partial claim programs for homeowners, but VA will not once VASP ends. That’s despite the fact that for generations VA home loans have been a path to the middle class for those who serve in the military.

*Add to that, all of the vets who were (or will be) fired by DOGE, and…anyone currently in the military watching this should remember that they took an oath to defend the US Constitution, not some fat f&ck covered in bronzer like GD clown who does not give a rip about them or this country.

  19. Trump is basically living in the 1950s

Emotionally, mentally and physically, he never made it out of his damaged childhood.

  20. Media coverage of Hands Off is across the country. Estimates showing up of crowd sizes is one million plus, so far. Crowd shots show a lot of signs and people! Sliding through YT channels will get some of the live shots.

  21. Lordy,I just got off the phone with the California Republicans. How in the F are we from the same family? They are in lurv with their orange savior & MuskRat & think DOGE is finding ga-jillions in waste & and are angry that federal workers are getting SS & pensions because of Biden (?), and, and, and…

They said they watch ABC, NBC, and Fox. Of course, ABC and NBC do nothing to report facts that would counter Fox’s lies, the complicit bastards.

They have money, but they are not billionaires. The olds are white, but only a few look white. The younger ones are Hispanic and African American. The olds were not happy about the mixing of the family, but they got used to it. At some point, ICE is going to target one of them for the way they look and their last name. At that point, they might start to care that the “illegals” actually get due process.

The church they’ve joined has done some of this to them. It made their brains believe stupid stuff, and taught them to be compliant. Fox News did the rest.

I have no family, other than my dad. We are the only two who could see Adolf for what he is. The rest are lost to me.

  22. bId – sorry to hear about the side of your family. It hurts to have a tree, but the branches are separate now. At least you do know where they stand. And, you have a whole group who stand with you.

  23. i’m fortunate to have loved ones in my life that aren’t Trumpy morons so I cherish them, fuck the rest

  24. if you’re a Trumpy moron, you must be braindead and therefore obviously have nothing to teach me so I have no time for you and you don’t wanna learn anything from me because you think you know everything already, soooooo

    life’s too short

  25. get involved in your local gardening community. I guarantee you there are no assholes in a gardening community. just gentle people.

  26. Best protest sign:
ARE YOU BETTER OFF THAN YOU WERE 4 MONTHS AGO?

Since I could not go to a protest, I called my miserable, Republican Senators, chastising them for last night’s vote and telling them to stop DOGE from next week’s scheduled “hackathon” of the IRS.

    202-224-3121 Leave a message.

  27. alright BiD, i just planted thousands of flowers from seed and significantly less veg 😊

trying corn again, mostly for fun, 3 ears is a good stalk for the best farmers

  28. ‘Astonishingly Tone Deaf’: Media Fiercely React to Trump Touting Golf Win ‘North Korea Style’ After Market ‘Carnage’, Missing Solemn Ceremony

On Saturday, Trump took part in a Senior Club Championship at his Trump National course in Jupiter Florida. It was from there that the update on his standing was sent out. “The President won his second round matchup of the Senior Club Championship today in Jupiter, FL, and advances to the Championship Round tomorrow,” was the line of text sent out by the pool that caught fire on Saturday.

There were dozens more reactions from across the media landscape, many of which mentioned North Korea, 1984, Nero fiddling while Rome burned, or the phrase “Let Them Eat Cake”.

CNN on Friday night ran a montage of Trump complaining about former president Barack Obama playing golf when in office, with anchor Abby Phillipsaying it “appears to be true” that Trump “doesn’t give an F.”

  29. Not sure what I did, but now when I log in, I go to the page where you write up new posts for the day; I can’t get back to this page if I log in. I tried clearing out the cache and power cycling, but no change. ?

  30. This is just the folks who could get to a protest and weren’t afraid. This is the beginning of the end of compliance.

  31. ABC characterizing protests as “tens of thousands.” Um, I saw an estimate of 400,000.

“Democratic activists”? Oh, buddy, this is so much bigger. Notice that it was mostly white folks at a lot of protests, especially in red areas, and not just young folks.

  32. Ah, these quiet evenings when I post into the abyss. LoL

Theme song for 2025, more or less; preferably less.

  33. https://thehill.com/homenews/house/5234386-al-green-donald-trump-impeachment/

Al Green says he’ll present articles of impeachment against Trump in next 30 days
*Why wait? I’ve asked my representative to do this to SFB, Vance, and Hegseth many times.

Chris Murphy says only about 20 Republican Senators haven’t turned their backs on democracy. If impeachment proceedings can get through the House, that’s what we’ll need.

When a bunch of older, white folks march (nationwide estimates are 3 million), you know you’ve screwed the pooch.

  34. Ivy – They care when it impacts their bottom line. Target’s compliance with a government anti-DEI directive, as a private company, has cost them. It won’t end with the 40-day Target fast, either. Once shopping habits change, folks don’t rebound.

EASTER PARADE is on Positiv right now

  35. Henbit – Thanks! This 4ish acres is all sorts of grass and weeds and trees, surrounded by soybeans, goats, cattle, horses, and right next to hayfield. It’s pretty and maybe that’s one of the draw of the birds.

  36. im doing seeds in cultivated ground with rows of bagged soil to start the seeds and i will water ‘til established and then that’s it, no more falling for pretty flowers in pots at the garden center- too expensive

worked my ass off this week, it’s gonna be crazy tho 🤩

start saving jars, keep lids undamaged

that show i keep recommending teaches me so much need-to-know info every episode, it’s a well-produced horticultural education

the presenter now is collecting seeds to start an entire garden for free, so she’s showing what and how to collect and she’s a master gardener, so good 👍

  37. Branding the economy a “red recession” seems like good messaging…but Dems need to point out how they’ve tried to stop it, even if not successful. Like trying to add amendments to bills that help folks & Republicans rejecting everything. The 3 big broadcast channels need to stop being complicit.
