Vin Gupta was just on MoJo and noted that the FDA released a statement after Dumbass’ stumbling, bumbling announcement about acetaminophen yesterday that says they don’t have the evidence to recommend not taking it during pregnancy.
“The FDA is taking action to make parents and doctors aware of a considerable body of evidence about potential risks associated with acetaminophen,” said FDA Commissioner Marty Makary, M.D., M.P.H. “Even with this body of evidence, the choice still belongs with parents. The precautionary principle may lead many to avoid using acetaminophen during pregnancy, especially since most low-grade fevers don’t require treatment. It remains reasonable, however, for pregnant women to use acetaminophen in certain scenarios.”
Evidence in recent years has suggested a correlation between acetaminophen use during pregnancy and subsequent diagnosis of conditions like autism and ADHD. Multiple large-scale cohort studies, including the Nurses’ Health Study II and the Boston Birth Cohort, find this association. Some studies have described that the risk may be most pronounced when acetaminophen is taken chronically throughout pregnancy.
It is important to note that while an association between acetaminophen and neurological conditions has been described in many studies, a causal relationship has not been established and there are contrary studies in the scientific literature. It is also noted that acetaminophen is the only over-the-counter drug approved for use to treat fevers during pregnancy, and high fevers in pregnant women can pose a risk to their children. Additionally, aspirin and ibuprofen have well-documented adverse impacts on the fetus.

“The president will also touch upon how globalist institutions have significantly decayed the world order,” Leavitt said, using the Trump’s term of criticism — “globalist” — for those he sees as overly focused on international affairs. “And he will articulate his straightforward and constructive vision for the world.”

I’m trying to wrap my brain around addressing the largest and most decidedly “globalist” institution on this globe, and one in which we have traditionally been a leading voice, deriding globalist institutions that are “overly focused on international affairs” and how it (globalism) has significantly decayed the world order as he is unsuccessfully struggling to broker peace in Russia’s war with Ukraine and Israel’s war in Gaza – the two most pressing international affair problems in the world at present. Oh, and his prior touting of his historic accomplishments in the first year of his first administration is what prompted laughter AT him in his 2018 address to the same body.
“Consider what it means if you don’t respect free speech, which is another way of saying free conscience—the right of other people to make up their own minds about the basic questions of what is right or wrong, and to express their views on those issues,” Carlson said.
“If you don’t respect the right of other people to do that, and if you take steps to prevent them from doing that, what are you really saying? You’re saying, “I don’t think you have a soul. You’re a meat puppet I can control. I think you’re an animal, maybe a sub-animal. You’re a slave.'”
Carlson then invoked Bondi into the argument, referencing her recent remarks on free speech and so-called hate speech in the wake of Kirk’s murder.

I had a period as a young man where I played at being the angry atheist but not for long. One of my more interesting jobs is when I worked at the juvinile detention center. It is a job that tends to draw people of good will and those serious about their religion. We had a variety of Christian denominations, I also, worked with a Muslim, a Black Muslim, a Buddhist and this guy from somewhere in the South Pacific who had to return home every year to conduct a ceremony so everybody who died in his village could be properly buried.
There were a lot of strong religious opinions so kinda in self defense I had to develop my own moral philosophy. Which basically comes down to, I should leave the world a bit better than I found it.

I had a period as a young man where I played at being the angry atheist but not for long. One of my more interesting jobs is when I worked at the juvinile detention center. It is a job that tends to draw people of good will and those serious about their religion. We had a variety of Christian denominations, I also, worked with a Muslim, a Black Muslim, a Buddhist and this guy from somewhere in the South Pacific who had to return home every year to conduct a ceremony so everybody who died in his village could be properly buried.
There were a lot of strong religious opinions so kinda in self defense I had to develop my own moral philosophy. Which basically comes down to, I should leave the world a bit better than I found it.

It may be because I lived 30 years in an immigrant neighborhood.
But how do you get a young foreign born wife? You pay for her green card.
I had a couple of opportunities but for me love was more important than sex. Also I noticed that those who went that route didn’t stay married long. It seems that once you have a permanent green card, divorce is an easy option. And they don’t send you back. Yesterday it was my bank wanting to help me manage my money. I actually called them back because I had a question, but they couldn’t answer it. It seems they were with my bank but really they were in a office on the other side of town and federal regulation wouldn’t let them have an office in the same building. And so on, and so on, and so on.
