  1. The only thing that will stop it is a general strike and protests (prolonged). If Adolf kicks the bucket, the cult of personality fizzles out, but the problem of the n@zis in power remains.

Adolf has seemed like he’s a had a stroke more than once. Most recently, sitting at our desk (it’s not his) with a pen in one hand and half of a smile.

  2. About Joe’s cancer…
1 of 2 old men over 70 have prostate cancer that won’t be what kills us. Doctor Zeke and Doctor Vin Gupta both are on cable today explaining how prostate cancer isn’t even tested for after 70 or even 65 because PSA tests are not reliable. My VA doc has tested me via PSA blood test a few times already. My former doctor insisted on the finger test when I hit 62.
Joe has likely had his cancer for 10 years according to Doctor Ezekiel Emmanuel , and not being tested all the time is standard for old men. Joe found out when he developed urinary difficulty.
My old friend Bert , the WW1 veteran, from Bellevue and I visited his cousin from rural Huntington , Indiana, 45 years ago. The cousin was Eiffel Plasterer, famous for being a bubble man, who had been on many national shows, even David Letterman. Eiffel told of developing a blockage, rushed to hospital, and just before his bladder burst, a catheter gave him relief. Then a procedure fixed him. Eiffel was up in his 80s then. Time came to leave, as Eiffel had to get back to the sorghum harvest.

  3. Dex, I had wondered how Joe’s cancer could be so advanced but just now coming to light. I learned a lot about prostate issues caregiving my Dad — his was enlarged, not cancerous, but I remember the VA doctors being hyper-focused on testing him and other men in his age group (although there is some debate about efficacy of prostate testing). Surely Biden’s doctors had recommended testing, because if not that would seem incompetent.

  4. Last Week Tonight on Sunday really hammered home the fact that smaller outlets simply don’t have the where with all to stand up to the FCC blackmail that threatens their licenses for airing anything negative about Trump.

  5. Those biopsies are rough, I can testify on a second-hand basis. Especially when the doctor brings in a classroom of first-year residents to observe and ask questions.

  6. The need to silence other outlets tells me that Fox Noise and those Max One things have lost their grip.

The thing Adolf & the n@zis can’t control is folks actually talking to one another. Sometimes, it was as simple as one farmer talking down signs & flags, giving another one the support to do the same.

There’s been enough outrage at townhalls, and constituents not been listened to (or even kicked out), that Republicans sewed the seeds of doubt themselves.

Folks have fled to Substack, which is where you’ll find Jim Acosta and the like. Legacy media is part of the problem. Its corporate connections are cumbersome, and it’s beholden to the point of pointlessness.

What I have found is that our protests are being covered more overseas than here. Overseas protests (Serbia, for instance) and even protests in solidarity with the US, are not covered on network TV, at all.

I stopped using all googley apps when they bent the knee to Adolf, and renamed the gulf. The googley search engine was getting worse and worse, as I believe searches were being censored.

  7. Poobah, as a man of a certain age for about 9 years now I’ve seen the FDA shift its recommendations about PSA tests from (1) PSA, to (2) finger, no PSA to (3) Finger, PSA optional (None if you’re having a colonoscopy within a year)) to (4) (now) PSA. At last that’s the 4 suggestions I’ve had since I hit 65. My doc’s an internal med guy, and he’s not all that keen on the test – too many false positives and with PC being a very slowly progressive form of cancer that doesn’t have great treatment options, he takes a minimalist view of it. I’m much more concerned about cholesterol, blood pressure, the sunshine I was exposed to in my youth and shitty drivers. BTW 70-77% of positive PSA results are false positives. Hardly a very good predictive test.

  8. The other thing is ABC; always be counter-programming.

Network and cable TV have plenty of reason to air how n@zis came to be; next to what’s happening today might be an eye-opener.

Hold all PRIDE parades on the day of Adolf’s military charade.

Read somewhere that ten protests of 1,000 can gum up the works more than one protest of 100,000.

Veterans are planning a big march in DC on 6/6; probably others are planned, as well.

For those who are retired, or who can’t miss a day’s pay, just don’t buy anything on strike/protest days. If you must, shop independent and use cash.

  9. FWIU yes a bulk of those results over time is the best indicator

they do a lot of prostate talk on radio these days 🤷‍♂️

  10. How does your garden grow, BiD?

Mine’s cottage-tastic, prepping for the summer heat, want rain barrels

oh i made a raised bed out of old 2x4s to sow salad crops in August so that’s fun

  11. Scott Adams, creator of the comic strip “Dilbert,” has announced that he has prostate cancer, one day after it was revealed that former President Joe Biden has the same disease.

Right Wing Commentator and Dilbert creator, Scott Adams announces that he has the same Cancer as Biden, and has only months to live.

He then goes on to say it’s entirely possible that Biden just found out recently.
And he admits he was wrong about Ivermectin helping with prostate Cancer, like he claimed in the past.

  12. Haven’t been out today (laryngitis and lightning), but keeping an eye on the wild turkey. Lots of garlic and onions out there, so hope they’re a deterrent. It looked good yesterday. The garden, that is.

“FEMA needs reform and I understand that, but I don’t know what form that takes in the president’s mind, so I’m concerned,” Sen. Shelley Moore Capito said. “States don’t have enough money or even the know-how to be able to respond well, especially with some of these larger disasters.”

  14. i been boiling pepper flakes and spraying my stuff against deer

moderate successes for both of us

  15. Anonduh, that’s a point well taken about those exams. Another point is that they are a screening exam indicating whether further testing might be appropriate rather than a diagnostic test indicating that treatment may be appropriate. I’ve had 3 over the past 7 years and they’ve all been very low and within .02 of each other. Makes me know that isn’t something I likely need to keep a close eye on – unlike shitty drivers and spots on my skin.

  16. Will the magas be content once they’ve run Biden into his grave?

I bet they’re still angry at bullshit afterwards!

  17. yeah, all those ******* stupid people that vote pogo also drive

    poorly

i need to watch that Russel Crowe road rage movie, is typically me

    “Unhinged”, looks good

these arm-wavers and bird-flippers and horn-honkers are playing a dangerous game

  18. all of them pandemic teenagers who didn’t receive proper driving instruction or testing are now sharing the road with you

    Eyes up

  19. if someone throws a rock at me in traffic, You will see me on the news.

    My mugshot at least

    or my obituary

  20. “Take it down Act” is a pretty dumb name for a law that criminalizes putting something up

  21. “ Especially for someone who chooses doctors based on their incompetence and then tells them what diagnosis they can make.”

lol is that not how to do it?

  22. It wasn’t $5 trillion USD. (The USD isn’t even what it was four months ago, either.) He’s full of it, as are MAGAt Mike and the n@zis who are marking up the tRUMPublican Bill to Screw Americans in the dark of night.

  23. I think that if you take a look, it’s the same doctor that said Joe was cognitively fine. There was nothing wrong with him… that’s being proven to be a sad situation.”

The more he yaks about it, the closer we’ll be looking at him and his own prognosis.

  24. oh yeah, they* are in full “accuse everybody else of everything they are doing themselves” mode

    *the cultists

  25. good morning, mixers. am still without working desktop but hopefully the Geeker will make magic with my old one tomorrow… that is, if the predicted storms today and especially tonight don’t bring more havoc causing a cancellation. soon, amazon willing, a new HP all-in-one along with bells and whistles will be the next challenge for what’s left of this feverish brain.
along with missing the fun of finding just the right cartoon for the day’s thread, I’m also missing out on completing the requisite CLE hours for fl bar. major frustation in itself just to sit thru hours of online legalese let alone the challenge now of fewer days ’til deadline.
oh well, being here and able to grouse about it will be better than being blown away by a tornado tonight.
BTW one glimmer of sunshine: finally figured out how to acccess and use email on this teeny tiny tablet (without manual instructions yet!).
