Doug Jones probably had a lot of private polling to decide to be on the right side of history because his state was not going to reelect him. He deserves all the support Dems can give him. The same with Manchin. Manchin might get away with his votes, but who knows.

Doug did a good job explaining his vote. I like it. Joe knows that 4 years from now no one will likely remember that he voted to impeach SFB, until his challenger (smart money is on Evan Jenkins) brings it up.

I just listened to Mitt Romney’s talk on the floor about his decision to vote to convict on one of the articles of impeachment. All other things aside, you have to respect the man for that decision.

Biden was remarkable tonight on CNN. His answer to an audience member about his struggle with stuttering had people in tears, and he wove it into a larger point: “Things that people cannot control is not their fault. No one has a right to mock it and make fun of them.”

Watched Klobuchar on O’Donnell tonight. She got a bit emotional about courage of Romney and Jones. Now I’m lovin on her. Dammit, every time I see these Dem candidates I want to vote for all of them.

Dems are too nice. They should lay into the Trumpster’s kids and how they’ve enriched themselves. I just watched “Good Night and Good Luck”. (David Strathairrn was a great choice for Edward R. Yes, Romney, Manchin and Jones were courageous, but they weren’t the only ones. I think a few of the ripper snotters who voted to acquit the racist rapist russian mole were very brave. mcsally, loeffler, gardner, perdue, ernst, mcconnell, collins, daines, cornyn, tillis, sullivan, cotton, risch and sasse all just made their general election chances more iffy, perhaps impossible for the first seven on my list. I can’t tell about hyde-smith, but her vote certainly can’t make her re-election any easier.
For instance, Moscow mitch’s approve/disapprove ratio shows that he is likely to lose in November. If he’d voted to convict, he would lose the KY ripper nomination by a sensational landslide. However, have arranged for the acquittal, he did nothing to get more KY rippers to more enthusiastic about his candidacy. Instead, he gave the Never trumpers reason to oppose him. There may not be many of those in KY, but he’s 23% underwater right now, and it is going to take a titanic effort to cover that enormous gap. One or two Never trumpers may be the difference between mitch wielding power in ’21 or being put out to pasture or worse.
Ms 21, I’d go for ‘commie.’ I never heard or read that the racist rapist’s boss, putin, ever renounced his bolshie religion. As far as I can tell, he’s stalin-lite : less killing, more taste.
Romney is one of the things I love about Massachusetts – despite being the bluest of the blue we can temper it with decent republicans. Trumps shameful creepy game killer son is perhaps the only person I dislike more than trump. Looking forward to the day when he makes his own political bid and will no doubt be shut down, unable to make a go of it on his own without daddy. He should be expelled from society.
