    Reid specifically mentioned the death of Warren’s brother from the virus and asked her reaction to the comments in light of that.

    Warren noted the particular impact of the virus in minority communities, adding “we have a leader who seems to have both no human understanding of what it means to the rest of us to lose someone we love and no understanding that as president it’s his responsibility to put together a competent response, which he has completely failed to do.”’

    At this stage I can think of only one thing that might salvage some part of Trump’s reputation.  The good part is that it would actually be legal and totally in line with his responsibilities.  Fire Dejoy and then issue one executive order:

    “Effective immediately, through the end of the year, all necessary overtime and double deliveries for post offices nationwide is permitted until all backlogs are cleared.”

    Fortunately for the welfare of the nation, he is not smart enough to do this.  

    It wouldn’t help with the virus, but would definitely be a change of subject.

     

  6. It’s OK, let’s look at these claims that people with comorbidities who died and had Covid as well didn’t die of Covid. By that logic, people who died that had Covid and comorbidities didn’t die of anything. See, if you can’t say they died of Covid you can’t say they died of one of the comorbidities either. So apparently according to the deniers, 184,000 of those people actually probably didn’t even die.

    Biden has taken down all advertising and will not conduct any meetings, appearances, or press for the whole of 9/11.  The day is for a memorial to those lost.

I have a close family member who is a SFB cult member.  He also receives DHS updates on the pandemic as part of his briefings.  He denies there is a pandemic at all.  We are having a major response when we do not need it is the thinking of those who really know what is going on.  According to him it is not as bad as the flu. But as seen with the various whistleblower filings the actual knowledge, whether it is Russians attacks or information from what used to be the CDC, it is changed to meet the hourly spewing of an unstable three year old.  So there is no real information in the briefings.

    Mr. Biden and his wife, Jill Biden, will attend the National September 11 Memorial & Museum’s commemoration ceremony before traveling to Shanksville, Pa., where a campaign statement said that they would “pay their respects to the victims of Flight 93,” the plane that was hijacked and crashed into a field after passengers fought back.
    Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, Karen, are also scheduled to attend the ceremony in New York, as well as another ceremony there. Mr. Trump and his wife, Melania, are expected to attend the memorial service in Shanksville in the morning.
    Mr. Biden’s running mate, Senator Kamala Harris, and her husband, Douglas Emhoff, will attend a remembrance ceremony in Fairfax, Va., and Ms. Harris will speak.

    While Mr. Biden and Mr. Trump will each be honoring the Americans who died in the attacks, their sharply divergent approaches to showing empathy may be on display on Friday.

  12. Pretty sure one of the cashiers at the grocery store i just went to has Covid.  This early in the morning and people still openly defying mask mandates, possibly killing that cashier, and endangering everyone who went to the store that early TO AVOID THOSE SELFISH PEOPLE.

D’umbass had to be referring to Trump World Tower (Residential high rise at UN Plaza).  At 861 feet it was the 6th tallest building in NYC in 2001 after WTC Towers were toppled.  Trump tower on the other hand is 664 feet tall and is now the  96th tallest building in Manhattan.  Sumbitch wouldn’t know how to tell the truth if his life depended on it.

    BTW, the other buildings in Manhattan in 2001 taller than either of D’ump’s Towers were (from tallest down) Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, 70 Pine Street, 40 Wall Street and Citicorp Tower.

    I have 1.1 million Facebook followers. Almost all are Trump supporters. They used to be my supporters. I posted the updated Covid #’s 192,000 dead. Almost every response accused me of lying. That it was only like 10,000 dead. That CDC said only 6% REALLY died from Covid. So sad.

  66. Let me weigh in. 
    6 years ago, I came in here and ask for help. The racists in the neighborhood association had pulled the rug out from under our efforts to build a park. All because a small part of the grant was for work with Hispanics. They threw it all away because 1/5 of it would teach the Hispanics how to be better neighbors(block watch, how to work with the city, ect, Yeah I know Hispanics already know how to be good neighbors, in fact they are better at it than we are , I think) It was Trumpism before there was such a thing.
    You all came through and it all kicked off what came to pass.
    yesterday, I drove by the park to check on progress, They are installing the play ground. All I can say is OMG, I know I’m an emotional wreck right now but it was beautiful. It just floored me. Jordon our parks planner did a great job of taking Sherry’s and my visions then built on them and made them better. Not a straight line or a square corner in the place, fung shway (hillbilly dictionary spelling) out the ass.
    Oh and a climbing  dome  that is so tall that I’m almost certain OSHA regs require a safety harness and tie off.
    One thing I have pounded home is I didn’t want something that was “good enough for poor people” This is not, we may have the best playground in the city.
    And it started here.

I think the best thing that demonstrated that it is time for boomers to sit down and let the young folks take over was the poor old guy who was pushed by the police and he went straight over backward. Did nothing to break his fall.. It wasn’t even that hard a shove. A younger man would have stepped back and continued giving the cop a ration of shit.

  80. Jack, you and your Missus didn’t plan a playground, you planned an urban village. If I had been smarter at the time, I would have urged you and Sherry to pack your dream into a portfolio and drive up the street to Warren B’s castle asking that he ‘buy’ into your dream.
    My project continues being Kumcho’s habitat. Over the last twenty years it has matured nicely.
