  1. Don’t think I can handle another 10 person “debate”. I’ll let the women watch this one.
    grin, duck and run

Handing out Ambassadorships to high rolling donors is by partisan and goes way back.  But usually nobody relies on them to be more that a pretty face at parties and other functions.  I think  to day we can all see why that is the tradition. Talk about being in way over your head. At least he was smart enough to bail, or his wife was.
    Jack

  3. Also rich people became ambassadors in places like London and Paris because they could afford it.

  4. Lizzie, WADR how in hell are you going to lower Rx drug prices on day 1?  EO?  I don’t think you could do that.
    And Bernie! Really?

  5. Tulsi G.  cult member and friend of Assad  go away

Take Tom Steyer and his stupid term limits idea with you

  6. Yeah KGC, but she’s an attractive woman in a white suit who doesn’t look like Colonel Sanders or sound like Foghorn Leghorn.

  7. After we get rid of Trump we need to see a long Rico investigation. Rudy’s criminal buddies, lawyer just fired a shot across the bow.
    From the Daily Beast

Lev Parnas, an indicted associate of Rudy Giuliani, helped arrange meetings and calls in Europe for Rep. Devin Nunes in 2018, Parnas’  lawyer Ed MacMahon told The Daily Beast.

  8. Jack, I’d  love to read the DB article, but…ain’t gonna subscribe.  Sounds good. Hope it hits WaPo or NYT

  9. I actually like Yang’s idea about docs getting salaries instead of fees & all of the bill-padding that goes with it.

  10. yeah, take Yang’s idea and Bernie’s and you get the British health care system.
    oooook
I mean really, haven’t we learned anything in the last 80 years? The really hot ideas are 1930 British socialism

  11. I will say this much, this century has seen a great improvement in Missouri wines. I’m drinking a white that is very good. lite, dry, tasty.
    Jack

  12. The  British national healthcare system is basically like Medicaid, always underfunded. It also relies on our system  for innovation. Just like everything else the world relies on our leadership. If we quit then we all lose.
    Jack

  13. Sondland was amused a lot today.  He got on a plane for Brussels. Will he get the  James Comey treatment upon arrival?  Will he have to find his own way home?

I can’t do another debate.  I know who they are, blah, blah, blah.

  14. you got to stop listening to SFB

The British Love Their Universal Health Care : Parallels Budgets are tight, wait times have grown and drugs are being rationed. But most of the U.K. believes the advantages of their taxpayer-funded coverage outweigh the frustrations.

  15. BID, irrelevant to the question.
How many died because of medical care by the lowest bidder? This has the same relevance.
In Britain the rich have their own doctors btw.
    Jack

  16. KGC
Just like here everybody loves their insurance , That is until their life depends on it. Dead people don’t answer polls.
    Jack

  17. I can’t believe you two are really defending the British Health system.  Classic liberals both of you.
    Jack

  18. In America, we ration our drugs ourselves…cuz they’re overpriced.
In America, wait times can be long…cuz what you don’t know won’t cost you/we don’t go to the doc when we need to go.  We wait.   Some with ACA can’t find a doc who’ll take their insurance.
~ What would the rest of the world do without us when it comes to healthcare?~

  19. Tiptoe, Doctors do well too.
. But yeah, Drugs, and support stuff really rake in the cash.
Mrs Jack came home with a feeding tube. They charged $100 a day for rental and 3 boxes of nutrient mixes about like a box of insure.
The other thing is the over building of hospitals in the suburbs. So you end up paying as overhead all the idle equipment in the hospital.
    Jack

  20. Bernie made a good point about drug companies playing victim and hiding behind the old R&D defense.   They have plenty of money to make & air ads on TV, in magazines, in the sides of buses…  Where aren’t there drug ads?  The big-wigs are getting paid scads of money.  Capping how much they can charge won’t hurt them.    I’m with Bernie on that idea. I think Yang has a similar view.

Jack – Good point about hospitals being idle.   Of course, folks in the burbs have better insurance.  Location, location, location.

My $900+ ambulance ride a couple of years ago was an eye opener.   All of the horror stories from others made me almost feel lucky.  But, the ambulance is idle a lot of the time & you’ve gotta keep EMTs on call 24/7.

  21. Yes, I hate NAFTA.  I worked for a Canadian company long before it existed, too.  What I’ve seen is my co-workers on the manufacturing side (I’m in admin) losing their jobs to Mexico.

  22. Biden just reversed himself on legalization of marijuana
kind of amazing actually  Booker challenged him and he caved
    Joe Biden  Marshmellow Man

  23. KC,  tell it to voters. I’m glad to see he’s come to his senses on the issue. Gotta head off to sleep so I can wake up tomorrow and argue that the pot head (and meth head btw) in the courtroom tomorrow is a crappy mom. But no, pot is not your father’s gateway drug.
