  7. I just put on All the President’s Men and began wondering what movies will be made of SFB and his destruction of the presidency and America.  This movie was made just months after Tricky Dick was removed from office (yes he resigned, but that was the easy way out).

  15. I lived with disaffected, nearly homeless Trump supporters at Motel 6 and Days Inn for 7 months in Orlando, they are so lost unless brought back to reality. Elite Dems don’t have a clue what’s happening.

  25. Mrs Jack always believed that she had significant Native American ancestry.  Turns out she had none but she did have 1% African Bantu DNA.  Her Grandparents were from Louisiana, if you were light skinned being an Indian was a better choice if you were married to a white.

    Calling trump names such as “Pervahontas!” “Pussygrabber!” “Human trafficker!” “quisling!” “Draft dodger!” “Adulterer!” “golf cheat” “Abortion buyer!” and so forth, would typically be the vp candidate’s job, e.g. dict cheney, dict nixon, spiro agnew & bob dole.

  36. I’ve always viewed myself as a Xenophon type of person. As I remember he was much more a practical philosopher but then anyone would look practical when compared to Plato.  If the total screwups in the western world could be placed on a single individual it would has to be shared by Paul and Plato. 
    To be honest I’ve forgotten all I ever learned about them Greeks when I took that philosophy/history class some 40 years ago.

    The Persians send back a severed head to the Greek army.
    the Greek army decides to vote new leaders, and votes to fight their way out.

Reading these potential comebacks for Warren takes me back to post-election TV appearances by HRC when she said she wanted to “turn around and tell this creep that was hovering over me (during a debate) to go back to his lectern.”  Trump has already revived his Pocahontas slur, so yes, Warren should attack back.  My Facebook pals call Trump a litany of horrible, but so-fitting insults, all which would be good, but the USA public isn’t conditioned to x-rated attacks just yet.  I can’t usurp any of the zingers on this thread, so all I can offer Warren to use is “This LIAR”.  WaPo says he lies 13 times a day on average.  That is a lotta lyin’.  

  46. Anabasis by St. John Pearse is also wonderful. It’s powerful poetry about a march up country and then to the sea, such as Xenophon’s. However, the poem doesn’t identify it as Xenophon’s in particular. It could just as well have been the tale of some other general.

  48. The coroner gave a directed verdict in the epstein case, but there are way too many loose ends to justify the report, in my opinion.
    Like the Peter Smith case from 2016, epstein shrieks for deeper study by a team of the very best forensic investigators.

  50. If trump can wangle exec privilege to prevent lewandowski from testifying, then why not the undocumented workers at his various resorts, etc ? Why not extend it to hannity and tucker ??? 
    This is totally bogus, just another delaying and diverting tactic.
