The Trump family understands that very well.  Trump started a charity just so others could make his home better.  In fact, it made his life better because he did not have to pay for anything.  He paid for political gain.  He paid for crappy pictures of himself to show at a gaudy place in Florida. He even used it to pay for a political person, Bondi.

Now that New York is helping him by dissolving his little money maker he will have to have someone in his mob find another way to get people to give him money.

This season is not going well.  As a relief from the constant chaos of Donald Trump, I have been spending time with other pursuits except for some daily twitter bombards in his direction.  I’ve been watching the annual long running love story of the eagles Romeo and Juliet.  Now nature is doing her thing in the raw, vicious of tooth and claw.  Almost an echo of the world around them. 
    The eggs were safely laid and the devoted parents sharing incubating duties.  A few days back Juliet was attacked by another female and injured.  At this point she has left the nest and the ground crews have not seen her or know her status.  Romeo continues to incubate the eggs and takes short feeding breaks, but another female (not the attacker) is lurking on a branch, but we don’t know her intentions as she seems to be a huge, young female looking for a life mate.  This morning Romeo is facing a massive storm, totally drenched, but still protecting his missing lady’s eggs.

    I check in on Romeo regularly.  The comments from other watchers can get rather gooey filled with thoughts and prayers that again echo all the other natural disasters out there.  I’m more pragmatic, just watching the soap opera and hoping for the best for this beautiful, dedicated bird living out his instinctual existence, but doing a great job at it.    

  8. I heard on one of the MSNBC programs last night that the smallest thing the trump foundation funded was a $7 fee for one of his boys to join the boy scouts…     now that’s the height ( or should I say HUGELY) of pettiness.

  15.  Well, this New Hampshirite remembers that The Guardian also used to back wiki leaks and Julian Assange.  If what they print is true…  and Beto runs for prez…  I bet that will come out in the debates.  And if it is true that he backed things like the fossil fuel industry…  he’s in Texas…  so that doesn’t surprise me.  I don’t like purity tests.  Methinks the Democrats that use them, do so at their own peril.

    So….   this New Hampshirite will consider many things before deciding which candidate to vote for in the primary. 

  19. given that 2020 will be a we got to get rid of Trump election an attractive centrist with 2 brain cells with look attractive.  Bernie and his bros are already slidding out the door. The median track for those taking his place is hard left with only Biden even looking at the center and Biden is too damn old.  That leaves Beto and his smile all by himself  in the centrist sweet spot.

  28. I’m an Eleanor Roosevelt Democrat. I still think Ohio’s Kasich, if he/we could get beyond party stuff, would make an excellent president for patriotic Americans.

I told my family a while ago to not expect much from me this holiday season, again.  In the office there is resigned defiance to being strung out by a rather pathetic, low intelligence, senile and possibly syphilitic bastard.  What all who are still in town and not on leave it is just a count down to a holiday.

      That SFB did an EO to give federal employees Monday off is more of that it will be cancelled if he finds out than grateful thanks.  Most of us do not care if it is true or not, we were taking leave anyway.  Some cynic offered that he did find out and was shutting down the government so we would not get it.  That is funny because if true we will get the day off anyway, paid or not.

    One big issue I have is the talking heads continuing to talk about him being normal and he is using “strategy” to take on whatever each day presents.  He is doing the what the last person told him to do, and without adding any thought (because he no longer thinks in that jello filling). 

    Today he talked to the blue pill guy who visits the island of boy hookers.  That is amazing.  I thought Fatso died years ago, so news he is still alive is wild.  To be straight talking, SFB is off his rocker, unstable and getting worse everyday.  Normal humans would be in a panic if everything they did was being investigated for criminal activity, and criminal activity was being exposed and prosecuted. This guy is like a low intelligence, emotionally dead six year old.  It is not good for any of us.

  33. If trump runs for president, he splits the ripper party, and the Dems will win in a landslide, even if we put up a pompous, unlovable bore like Woodrow Wilson. 1912 redux.

    It will be interesting to see whether or not trump can run from a jail cell ala Eugene V. Debbs, so let’s jail him.

    The Senate left town a couple of days ago.  They kept a few in town to do an acclamation vote then most of them left town.  Don’t look for the defeated/ retired congressmen  to stick around for a second vote. This is done till the new year, The House gave Trump  his government shutdown. It was their last dying act.  As Grandma would say “good riddance to bad rubbish”
    Lets celebrate the New Congress come the first of the year

    Poobah, this appears to be one of those – “you can’t fire me, I quit” deals.
    Lot of noisy shit coming out of DC today – hard to remember how bad a week it was for SFB. But if you do have trouble focusing on that, Google djia and it will remind you of how the market has taken to the chaos of the SFB “administration.”

Although I don’t really give presidents credit or blame directly for the stock market, since SFB likes to take credit for it he should also be willing to take the blame for its continued downward trend.  If he does have power over the market (and the chaos of his WH seems to) he seems intent on driving it to the mat.
