Busted

“I remember Marjorie Taylor Greene specifically,” an organizer said. “We would talk to Boebert’s team, Cawthorn’s team, Gosar’s team like back to back to back to back.”

Sounds like Bannon won’t be the last criminal referral Garland gets. Also, House members who conspired should be expelled.

Two Jan. 6 Planners Cooperate With Committee, Name MAGA Congress Members – Rolling Stone

Rolling Stone separately confirmed a third person involved in the main Jan. 6 rally in D.C. has communicated with the committee. This is the first report that the committee is hearing major new allegations from potential cooperating witnesses. While there have been prior indications that members of Congress were involved, this is also the first account detailing their purported role and its scope. The two sources also claim they interacted with members of Trump’s team, including former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, who they describe as having had an opportunity to prevent the violence.

And Gosar, who has been one of the most prominent defenders of the Jan. 6 rioters, allegedly took things a step further. Both sources say he dangled the possibility of a “blanket pardon” in an unrelated ongoing investigation to encourage them to plan the protests.

“Our impression was that it was a done deal,” the organizer says, “that he’d spoken to the president about it in the Oval … in a meeting about pardons and that our names came up. They were working on submitting the paperwork and getting members of the House Freedom Caucus to sign on as a show of support.”

The organizer claims the pair received “several assurances” about the “blanket pardon” from Gosar.

“I was just going over the list of pardons and we just wanted to tell you guys how much we appreciate all the hard work you’ve been doing,” Gosar said, according to the organizer.

The rally planner describes the pardon as being offered while “encouraging” the staging of protests against the election. While the organizer says they did not get involved in planning the rallies solely due to the pardon, they were upset that it ultimately did not materialize.

“Multiple government ministers and officials have been arrested, the Information Ministry said, as well as witnesses to the arrests. Military forces also stormed Sudan’s state broadcaster in the nearby city of Omdurman and detained workers, the ministry added.
The ministry said Sudan’s leader is under pressure to release a statement in “support of the takeover” but had called on the people to take to the streets in protest.“

“Among those arrested by “joint military forces” include various civilian ministers of Sudan’s transitional government and members of Sudan’s sovereign council, the Information Ministry said.”

“Members belonging to the civilian component of the Transitional Sovereign Council and a number of ministers of the transitional government were arrested by joint military forces and taken to unknown destinations,” the statement added..”

Last January could’ve been worse. Thank heavens it didn’t go down like this.

  4. What about the money?  We’re any of the ~attendees~ given money for travel, food, hotels? Did they stay with anyone in the area who supported the cause? Who funded these folks to do what they did?

  5. And Sturg, in case you were like sleeping and missed this last night, you gotta listen to THIS. Skunk Baxter, missile defense expert (and riff master).

  6. Why does autocorrect correct things like we’re and were?  I just had to change this one to were, again.

Opinion | The 50 best Halloween songs for your party playlist – The Washington Post

whose 1st and last items in the listing are:

    50. “The Wobblin’ Goblin,”by Rosemary Clooney:I am only sorry that by virtue of mentioning this song for this list, I may have made people aware of this song who previously weren’t. Your life may be going well; it may be going poorly; one thing I will guarantee is that hearing “The Wobblin’ Goblin” will make it worse. I hesitate to throw around phrases like “a crime against all reason and civilization,” but this song has no redeeming characteristics whatsoever yet still immediately gets stuck in your head. The universe it sets up makes no sense, one in which goblins are riding around on broomsticks but also responsive to air-traffic control, and buying an airplane is a logical solution to having a broken broom. Why wouldn’t the goblin just buy another broom that wasn’t broken? Was this sponsored by Big Air Travel?

    1. “The Monster Mash,”by Bobby Pickett:This song contains clanking and bubbling, which more songs ought to contain. I once had to drive people to a writing retreat and I put on a playlist of what I thought would be numerous, varied Halloween songs, and instead it was mostly “The Monster Mash,” and everyone in the car still had a good time! Well, I had a good time, and no one else physically ejected themselves from the car, which is about all you can hope for with a Halloween playlist. Maybe by next year, someone will have made the breakthrough we deserve.

guess for her compiling the list of musical scariness was better option than a list of the 50 scariest things before us  in today’s reality.

  8. Gary S Paxton, the world’s greatest Christian singer and responsible for the “Alley-Oop” song,  was also very involved with the monster mash song.  And Jim & Tammy.
    He got around.

  9. Like I done sayed before oncet, I think those guys are digging into the big picture and at some point they gonna nail some funky hides to the guvamint walls.
    (I know……Mueller……..)

  10. Particularly fond of Flying Purple People eater because it comes with dessert.  At the time it was released 31 flavors invented it for Halloween parties.

It was a cupcake paper pocket with a scoop of Plum Nuts ice cream, a sugar cone on top for its horn and a single M & M for the eye.

  11. The Skunk managed to come up with one of those solid gold all time guitar licks with that year-reeling song.   I guess I was never aware of him personally…..didn’t know who was in the Doob bros; all’s I knew about him was that one lick in that one song.   Glad he turned out ok……another proof that there IS life after music.  I also hear that that lick-Meister Brian May gots some heavy cargo of some sort as well.

Paul Gosar’s Jan. 6 Tweet Draws Ridicule After Report (mediaite.com)

A Jan. 6 tweet by Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) has resurfaced following the bombshell report that Republican members of Congress met with those planning the the January rallies in D.C. — with Gosar even promising them pardons.
    […]
Since the report was published, a January 6 tweet by Gosar is making the Twitter rounds again, many pundits noting that it further indicates complicity on the representative’s part.
“Biden should concede,” Gosar wrote. “I want his concession on my desk tomorrow morning. Don’t make me come over there.”
The tweet also included the hashtag “StopTheSteal2021” and tagged the since permanently suspended account of Ali Alexander, a prominent “Stop the Steal” organizer.
Many talking heads are now questioning how the tweet has not been taken down yet, as Gosar, seriously or not, is threatening to “come over there” and force President Joe Biden to concede despite his election victory:

  13. Well…. Finally figured out how to make ‘on demand’ sort of work for verizon.  I finally got this year of NCIS (escapism stuff) to run.  I saw a face and could not place the actor (actress?)  until I did a google thing.  Pam Dawber.  Jesus Alou! Turns out she is Mark Harmon, Jeb Gibbs, wife in real world. Flashback to 70’s Boulder Co. Yup. Mork and Mindy house a few miles north of us. We Baby Boomers do have long lives.

“Federal officials have for weeks been in talks with Wyman, who is Washington state’s secretary of state, to serve as the election security lead for DHS’ Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency…”

“Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and his counterpart from Missouri filed a lawsuit on Thursday against the Biden administration, claiming it broke the law by halting border wall construction along the U.S.-Mexico border.”

“The Biden administration’s flat refusal to use funds that have already been set aside by Congress to build the border wall is not only illegal and unconstitutional,” Paxton said, “It’s also wrong, and it leaves states like Texas and Missouri footing the bill.”

“The state 3rd Court of Appeals rejected the attorney general’s argument that the Texas Whistleblower Act doesn’t apply to him.“

“In its opinion, Texas’ 3rd Court of Appeals rejected the attorney general’s interpretation of the Texas Whistleblower Act, “which would have the effect of stripping whistleblower protections from employees who might report misconduct by the thousands of elected officials throughout the State — particularly by those who direct and lead the agencies of this State.”
