A Traitor Defends Traitors

Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) tweeted:
I will Veto the Defense Authorization Bill if the Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren (of all people!) Amendment, which will lead to the renaming (plus other bad things!) of Fort Bragg, Fort Robert E. Lee, and many other Military Bases from which we won Two World Wars, is in the Bill!

  1. Threats, desk pounding , lies, more lies, fantasy world and then signing the bill.  Of course he could veto it but risk the ire of the Pentagon and military because the pay checks are part of the bill.

  2. and on the hill:

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Wednesday said he hopes President Trump does not veto a mammoth defense bill over a plan that requires the Pentagon to change the names of bases named after Confederate figures.
“Well, I would hope the president really wouldn’t veto the bill over this issue. … I hope the president will reconsider vetoing the entire defense bill, which includes pay raises for our troops, over a provision in there that could lead to changing the names,” McConnell said during an interview with Fox News.
McConnell’s remarks are a break with Trump, who earlier in the day threatened to veto the defense bill if a provision on renaming the bases is in the final version of the legislation that makes it to his desk later this year.

  3. wapo:

A New York court on Wednesday lifted a temporary restraining order against the publication of a book by President Trump’s niece, enabling publisher Simon & Schuster to continue printing and distributing the explosive insider account by Mary L. Trump.
    […]
Judge Alan D. Scheinkman, in lifting the restraining order against the publisher, wrote that “whatever legitimate public interest there may have been in the family disputes of a real estate developer and his relatives may be considerably heightened by that real estate developer now being President of the United States and a current candidate for re-election.”
    […]
Mary Trump’s book, “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man,” has rocketed to the top of bestseller lists based on advance orders after a blizzard of publicity about how she would provide an insider account of the family that shaped the man who became president.
    […]
In the ruling Wednesday, Scheinkman noted that the confidential agreement barred each side from disclosing the terms of the settlement or “publishing any description of the litigation or their relationships” without the consent of all parties. Although Mary Trump had agreed in that settlement that she or her agent could be subject to penalty if it was violated, Scheinkman said he did not find that Simon & Schuster qualified as her agent because it was not party to the original agreement.
Simon & Schuster said in a filing on Tuesday that it had not been aware of the terms of the settlement, but it said that it still had the right to publish the book without prior restraint.

  4. Warren’s DNA test proved that she had at least one Native American ancestor, so…oh, I see what tRUMP did there.  He threw in “Pocahontas” to stir things up and deflect from the fact that he’s a traitor who did nothing when American soldiers had a Rushun bounty on their heads.   Summa byatch.

  5. Advertisers are in full flight from facebook………el Zuck tells his folks, “ Don’t worry—they’ll be back”.

  6. A devious type mind, steeped in the ways of advertising, could turn “Pocahontas” into a total positive for Sen Warren….

Kind of morning silly to ponder the draft-dodging son from a family of professional German draft-dodgers is attempting to smear Warren by a use of the name of a famous Native American who purportedly saved an English Captain from having his head squashed like a gourd.

  7. Russian bounties — Trump threatens the American experiment

Not once has Trump angrily banged a lectern and promised to get to the bottom of the stunning and heartbreaking story that Russian intelligence was paying lucrative bounties for the lives of American troops murdered in Afghanistan. Not once has Trump pledged to bring justice to the fallen. Not once since the story exploded nearly a week ago has Trump taken the side of the United States and vowed to protect and defend her.
The blockbuster bounty revelation is just the latest controversy to confirm Trump’s sweeping and ongoing betrayal. “I don’t think the Russians can believe their eyes and ears. It’s not to be understood,” stressed Retired US Army Gen. Barry McCaffery on MSNBC. “It’s sickening on so many levels.”

  8. Just In: Biden Campaign Blows Past Trump With $141 Million in Fundraising for June

President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign continues to be a fundraising machine, but for the second month in a row, Joe Biden’s war chest has surpassed him.
On Wednesday night, the Trump campaign reported a $131 million haul throughout June, which brings their overall second quarter of fundraising to $266 million. But hours after the Trump campaign released their figures, the Biden campaign said they drew $141 million from June, and their second quarter is $282 million.

  9. Angry exchange on video shows gun being pulled on mom, teen in Lake Orion
Umm, its almost as if people are being encouraged to use guns on people they don’t like and that are different than they are. Another in a long list of reasons I HATE Trump.

  10. And that sound you hear in the background is the whole Democratic caucus jumping up and down saying
“Yes!! Do It! We dare YOU!!, you haven’t got a hair on your butt if you don’t!!”
After all if Trump doesn’t veto this he is just a wuss that can be pushed around by the Democrats.

  11. Living in a poor neighborhood, years ago I devised the fire cracker prosperity index.  This year it is quite high we have had fireworks for the last 2 weeks.  Last night it was like the fourth of July in a bad year. So I must conclude that the economic stimulus  has been very effective.  Maybe just a bit too much.

  12. Well, from the putting one’s money where one’s mouth is world the RCP betting odds have basically flattened for Biden since 6/25 at right around 59%. capping off a 16.6% rise from May 27 from 42.5 to 59.1 today.  SFB’s have dropped another 1.6 points since 6/25 from 37.9% to 36.3% today – capping off a smooth and steady 14 point drop from 50.4% on May 27 to 36.3% now. Hope the smart money is on Biden.

  13. It looks like stupid did not fire enough SDNY people.  If he really does not drink or smoke, now would be a good time to start.  What is really funny (ironic and haha) is the idiot has no friends to rely on to actually save him from maximum security.   When the mob boss is swirling the drain someone will be ready to flush harder.  The dictator wannabe is finding out how unfriendly Washington really is. Evryday is dump on SFB day now.  We can only guess what treats next week will provide him.

  14. Mother Nature sent a virus to test us- a virus that punishes selfishness and stupidity- a virus that can be managed with cooperation, kindness, consideration, reduced consumption, by keeping our voices down, and respecting other people.

    America is failing the test.

  15. My manager talked to the company prez about masks today.  There should be directive going out soon.  The fingers of the un-masked will point to me.  I have a finger for them, too.

  16. Each week gets a little more oppressive and a little more hot.  The guy is not much smarter than a used brick, but even he must feel the pressure building.  The oval office is without corners and he must be feeling exposed and trapped.  Putin calls are not going to make him safer.  Even burning South Dakota with fireworks on dry grass is not going to make things good.  I keep hoping some staffer will video one of his melt downs and rage tantrums for the world to see.

  17. So I hear the young morons in Tuscaloosa – where I spent 12 years – are having covid parties and taking up a collection that the first person to contract the virus wins. There is no lack of stupidity among the young.

  18. Herman Cain (who attended Trump’s Tulsa rally, without wearing a mask) has been hospitalized with Covid-19.

  19. When I saw the name Hugh Downs I immediately could hear his voice.

Something strange is seeing people like Chris Berman and Joe Namath doing commercials, and not top level commercials.  Retirement does have issues for some.

  20. Just wondering if Ghislaine Maxwell has pictures of an “imbecile and idiot” doing something with children?  I sure hope she does not commit “suicide” this weekend.  Her arrest must be rather unsettling for SFB.  If she was the “pimp” she might have good records  stored away.

  21. If someone were to offer me money for hawking Medicare crap or reverse mortgages I’d be talkin’ my ass off.

But I’d try to slip in a wink now and then, just for my homies.

  22. lock ’em up, lock ’em all up! – Mr Flatus, Sgt at Arms, Army of the American Trail

I am with you, Mr Flatus, with all my heart and mind. G!d bless you.

  23. I’ll bet that old child ‘wedder’, rupervert murdoch, is dancing over the fate of Maxwell’s daughter.

  24. Dr. Fauci on the BBC today: “What we’ve seen over the last several days is a spike in cases that is way beyond the worst spikes that we’ve seen. That is not good news…we’ve got to get that under control, or we risk an even greater outbreak in the United States.”

  25. There were many voices in Troy begging those fools to just burn that wooden horse  right there on the beach. Just think , they would’ve heard Greek screams instead of their own.

  26. If Priam hadn’t been so old and heartbroke he woulda caught dat and it woulda been roasted Odysseus.

I don’t know if governors would go for another shutdown.   Congress needs to get on this now.  A moratorium on everything.  Just freeze accounts, rents, mortgages; nobody owes anyone anything for two months.  Everyone stay home except essential workers who get paid more…and maybe they’ve already had COVID and recovered (if we could find them), and, another round of stimulus.  Big stimulus.   It hurts longer when you remove a bandage slowly.  Rip it off.

  28. Think of what we could fund with the money spent on tRUMP’s golf outings.  How much have Mnuchin and others wasted…or they guy who flew to Guam on our dime just to call the commander of the ship who tried to protect sailors from COVID an idiot over the loudspeaker.     All of that govt waste could keep folks in their homes, with food in their bellies, and, healthcare.

The jobs numbers mean nothing.  Folks are unemployed or underemployed.  Sales are down.

  29. My best friend said, “Can’t Trump just put his name on the bases?” Last night, I was waiting outside at a local grocery to return some bottles. A guy who looked to be in his 70’s, was walking towards the entrance of the store and wearing a Trump hat. You guessed it, he didn’t put on a mask to go into the store.

  30. You’d think after Sherman and Grant got thru wit dey ass they woulda learnt something, but noooooo

    Dumb, stupid, cracker sons-a-bitches.

  31. Book of the 45th Administration:
    CRACKER CULTURE,
    by Gerald McWhiney, Alabama Press.

  32. How do our troops on the South Carolina sector of the Trail see their senatorial election unfolding ?

  33. Got a stone New York yankee with the crackers all falling in behind like he’s some kind of Fried Piper.

  34. Just think, Greg Abbott, if you had made masks mandatory in March, maybe we wouldn’t need to wear them in 100-degree heat.   Just think, Greg Abbott, if you had been following the scientists instead of tRUMP, maybe the TX economy wouldn’t be at the point of shutting down, again.   Just think.  Think.

  35. Corey,
So Herman Cain went to Tulsa and came back with Covid-19. Hey that makes him the winner!!
Hey I’ve been to Tulsa a couple of times, ain’t much there, so you got to take your wins where you can.
Or as a lawyer friend said this morning, “Thoughts and prayers, motherfucker”
    Jack

  36. I been so across Oklahoma so many times that I never knew it was there.  Cept for that water pump that one time.

  37. Epstein has raised his ugly head again, from the grave.

Some, most, half the people in Tejas are sick or dying so the gov. Abbott did an executive thingy… WEAR A MASK.  Uh, gov, too little, too late.

But it’s OK because Trumpity says it’s all good.

  38. Well, the water pump was in Lubbock, in Oklahoma it was a flat on the Prowler.
    Yeah, Oklahoma’s ass.

  39. You can’t get Townes from the video or the record….with him you had to have been in the room with him. It was different then.

If u like what he does, pull him up at Kerrville and see what shows they have. Live, he was a corker.

  40. I play a lot of bob Dylan music to ease the transition to neighbor of big pink but then, Atlantic auction can kiss my ass

  41. The black people they are threatening now are not like those lambs on the Pettis bridge.  Bank on dat.

  42. I may be one of the few persons on this forum who actually had a Mammy all of my childhood and then most of my life…..she was my mammy and you’d be hard pressed to find a smarter woman than she.   She taught me good.

  43. You know, just cause you 60 yrs old and raising a kid dont mean Anna Bell ain’t gonna give you some shit…..

  44. I started calling her Anna Bell later but her husband Paul always called her Anna Mae.  Strongest woman I ever met, bar none.

  45. Don’t mind telling you, little fishters, the world was a different place in the south of the 50’s
