“But I don’t want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad."
"How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here.”

not to worry, congress critters, there’s always AI for escape from real world responsibilities.
John Oliver explains why you’ve been seeing more AI-generated content online, the harm it can do, and – sadly – why it is threatening his marriage. Do you hear us, cabbage Hulk? Stay the hell away from John’s cabbage wife.
LaaLaa, a commenter to the above, astutely suggested: “Iran should have claimed that they needed to enrich uranium to power their AI data centers.”
John Oliver didn’t know when he filmed his latest monologue for Sunday’s Last Week Tonight that President Donald J. Trump already had ordered bomb strikes on Iran.
The Emmy-winning HBO series opened Sunday’s episode with a card reminding viewers that they taped on Saturday, before Trump’s announcement to the world that the U.S. had targeted three key Iranian nuclear facilities in top secret strikes.
Despite the news update, Oliver did discuss the Israel-Iran missile strikes. He claimed “the arguments for U.S. involvement here aren’t great,” noting that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been warning about the imminent threat of Iranian nuclear weapons for 30 years now, and that Netanyahu’s “track record in pushing the U.S. toward instigating regime change isn’t stellar,” citing his 2002 claim that taking out Saddam Hussein in Iraq in 2002 would have positive impacts throughout the Middle East.
Oliver was pleased that not all Republicans are supporting Trump’s war in Iran, highlighted by an already-viral clip of Tucker Carlson pushing back on GOP Texas Sen. Ted Cruz over his lack of knowledge about Iran. “That whole video is a bit of a trap, because you’re either going to be siding with Ted Cruz or Tucker Carlson. Which is a real Sophie’s Choice if she hated both her kids,” Oliver zinged.
He added that Tulsi Gabbard, director of national intelligence, had also testified in March that Iran was not building a nuclear weapon; an assertion reiterated by intelligence officials last week.
Oliver also mused about the potential for America to finally unload its 30,000-pound “bunker-buster” bomb on Iran’s nuclear facilities, allegedly buried deep underground. “It’s called a Massive Ordnance Penetrator, which is not only a way too sexual-sounding name for a bomb. It also abbreviates to MOP,” he said. “And I don’t love that you could potentially start World War III by dropping a MOP.”
Seven “bunker-bombs” were used in the U.S. strike, U.S. Air Force General John Cain later confirmed. Oliver noted in his taped monologue that experts believed this kind of strike still would likely “simply set Iran’s nuclear program back by a year or two” at most. “Which is pretty galling, given Trump arguably got us into this situation in the first place after abandoning the Iran nuclear deal back in 2018.”
After playing a clip where Trump told reporters mere hours before ordering the strike that “nobody knows what I’m going to do,” Oliver shrugged. “I mean, I will say, he’s not technically wrong there. The problem is when Trump says that, he thinks it makes him sound like a chess master when in reality, it makes him sound like a cow flying a plane. ‘Nobody knows what I’m going to do. But it’s reasonable to assume it’s not going to end great!’”
Oliver ended his opening monologue on Iran by reminding viewers of the tape-delay once more, but insisting no matter what happened this weekend: “This situation is very worrying. We don’t want to be dragged into yet another war in the Middle East.”
A weakened Iran could turn to assassination and terrorism to strike back
In the past, following other U.S. military actions, it has taken years for the full dimensions of Iran’s intended campaigns of revenge to come into view.
The last time the United States carried out a major strike against Iran — killing the leader of the country’s elite Quds Force five years ago — the response from the Islamic republic seemed oddly subdued, at least initially.
ran fired a flurry of missiles that wounded American troops stationed at military bases in Iraq, but fell far short of the vengeance threatened by Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, for the death of one of his top lieutenants.
It took years, however, for the full dimensions of Iran’s intended campaign of revenge to come into view. In that time, U.S. authorities uncovered and disrupted a series of assassination plots. The targets, according to U.S. officials and court filings, included former national security adviser John Bolton, former secretary of state Mike Pompeo and Donald Trump, at the time the former president.
The American bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities early Sunday pushed the U.S. conflict with Iran across a dangerous new threshold. U.S. and Western security officials said that they expect Iran to seek to retaliate in ways that eclipse its attempts to avenge the death of Quds leader Qasem Soleimani, and that the U.S. and its allies in Europe and the Middle East face an escalated threat from Iran that could last years.
“It is unthinkable that Iran will not at some point attempt to carry out retaliatory, asymmetric strikes,” said Matthew Levitt, director of the counterterrorism program at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
“Their standoff capabilities and nascent nuclear program have been badly hit,” he said, referring to the toll of the U.S. bombings and Israeli operations against Iran’s military leadership and regional proxies including Hezbollah. “But the last tool that remains standing and will be most easily resurrected is their ability to carry out terror plots abroad.”
Tehran has already signaled that it is prepared to use all available means to respond to the U.S. bombing. “Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interest, and people,” Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, said on social media Sunday. “The events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences.”
The FBI and its counterparts in Europe and the Middle East were already moving to put more scrutiny on cells and networks with suspected links to Iran, Western security officials said in interviews on Sunday. Several spoke on the condition of anonymity, citing the secrecy around such operations. An FBI spokesperson declined to comment.
Security services had stepped up monitoring of Iranian networks when Israel launched its initial attacks on targets in Iran earlier this month, officials said. Germany and France both added security around synagogues and other Jewish sites, according to media reports.
Those measures have been made more urgent by the U.S. decision to enter the war by sending B-2 bombers to carry out strikes on nuclear sites, including the Fordow uranium enrichment facility, built into a mountain to fortify it against all but the most powerful Earth-penetrating munitions.
Iran also has more conventional response options, especially in the short term, officials said. U.S. military personnel continue to be stationed on bases in Iraq and other locations in the Middle East that are within reach of Iranian ballistic missiles. Iranian-backed Houthi militants in Yemen could also launch fresh attacks on U.S. or allied vessels in the Red Sea.
But those options are likely to be seen as inadequate by Khamenei and his inner circle, said Will Wechsler, senior director of Middle East programs at the Atlantic Council and a former top Pentagon counterterrorism official.
“Iran has a peculiar sense of symmetry and typically a longer time horizon [for planning and pursuing operations] than the United States,” Wechsler said. “The question is when could the asymmetric elements come into play.”
[…]
At a time when European security services are confronting sabotage attacks by Russian proxies and espionage operations by China, Iran is widely seen as a particularly determined sponsor of violence. The head of Britain’s MI5 domestic security service, Ken McCallum, said last year that the U.K. had faced at least 20 “potentially lethal” plots linked to Iran since 2022.
[…]
Iran has also turned to criminal networks for operations in the U.S., according to the Justice Department, hiring members of the Hells Angels biker gang in a failed plot to assassinate an Iranian defector living under an assumed identity in Maryland. Soleimani, the target of the 2020 U.S. drone strike, is suspected of overseeing a 2011 plot to hire a member of a Mexican drug cartel to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States at the Georgetown restaurant Cafe Milano.
The failures of these operations, and Iran’s apparent decision to enlist associates of criminal networks, are seen by many officials as evidence of poor tradecraft and mounting desperation by Tehran’s security services. But Iran has been linked to devastating attacks since the early years of the Islamic republic, including the bombing of military barracks in Beirut in 1983 that killed 241 U.S. military personnel, and the subsequent kidnapping and killing of the CIA’s station chief in Beirut, William F. Buckley.
The main targets of Iran’s efforts to avenge Soleimani’s death were senior members of Trump’s first administration, including Pompeo and Bolton. Both subsequently fell out of favor with Trump, who upon returning to office ordered the removal of U.S. security details that had been assigned to protect them.
So the gubmint is showing pictures of one heavily damaged surface level site that could be a nuclear site or a widget manufacturing plant and pictures of a hole or two made by presumably bunker busting bombs with no evidence of damage to the facilities below. Call me skeptical.
And J Douchée says we’re not at war with Iran, we’re at war with Iran’s nuclear program. I doubt Iran views it that way – considering all the regime change chatter and our close alliance with Israel, who is clearly at war with Iran.
Skepticism is just common sense when watching this crowd. There are enough Israeli agents on the ground in Iran that surely we’d be getting some assessments if the news is positive.
Well, I just want to make sure I’m clear on this. We stage an unprecedented attack, using our biggest-ass bombs on three of Iran’s most important nuclear sites followed a day and a half later by our ally in the region, Israel, launching an “‘ unprecedentedly powerful strike’ Monday against an expanded set of targets across Iran, the Israeli Defense Ministry said, as nations across the Middle East braced for the possibility of a wider war.” WaPo. Glad we’re not at War. JHC
So if Iran’s nuclear facilities at Fordow were obliterated Saturday, then why this on Monday?…
“Israel struck the entrances to the Fordow nuclear enrichment site Monday to prevent the transfer of materials, an Israeli official said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive military operations. The crisis management agency of Qom province, where Fordow is located, told the semiofficial Tasnim News Agency the plant had come under renewed attack, this time from Israeli jets. The United States hit the heavily fortified site Sunday, and the damage is still being assessed.”
After all, Sunday per Secretary Brylcreem,
“Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said that Iran’s nuclear ambitions were “obliterated” after President Trump ordered strikes on three nuclear sites across the country Saturday.
“The order we received from our commander in chief was focused, it was powerful, and it was clear,” Hegseth said Sunday morning at a press conference at the Pentagon. “We devastated the Iranian nuclear program. But it’s worth noting the operation did not target Iranian troops or the Iranian people.”
I would certainly not want to be an American flagged supertanker captain negotiating the Straits of Hormuz in the near future.
Decided I’ll always wear Colorado Bob’s Tornado Gallery hat when responding to comments. Keeps the flak off my head.
Iranian lawmakers have said blocking the strategic Strait of Hormuz could be one retaliatory response to U.S. and Israeli attacks, and have given symbolic approval to the decision.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio urged China on Sunday to press Iran against closing the Strait following U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.

*Ha! I do love to watch them twist in the wind after they string themselves up.
Assessing the battle assessments: From “damage” to “total obliteration”
So now we are asking China to cleanup our mess?
BTW China is Irans #1 customer for embargoed oil.
Another disruption from China,
Chinese companies are selling EV cars for under $8000 and are flooding the world markets with them.
One last thing, youtube or somebody has decided I’m not a robot. I can now view videos with out going through the captcha routine. Don’t know why any more than I know why it started.
And yes, anon, cleaning out my cookies was one of the first steps I took after rebooting my machine. Didn’t help tho.

The problem with openly using your ultimate weapon, as Trump did, is you show the world just how effective it is. Now the world knows just how deep and hardened they need to make their bunkers. Where as before, we could bluff and tell the supreme leaders of the world, we had a bomb that could get them no matter how deep the hole.
Jack
Craig
I noticed your view count is growing on your videos, also you are getting intelligent comments too. except for music I’m not much for watching video. Don’t do podcasts either, I would much rather get my information by reading. Kinda old fashion I guess but that is me.
Jack
Yep, Jack, yesterday was a milestone — we had over 3,000 engaged viewers yesterday (those who actually watched videos to completion). And there are some good commenters. Similar traffic on the TikTok channel. But so far still no “conversions” to commenting here.
Khamenei is arguably in the “most dire situation of his entire life as an autocrat,” Karim Sadjadpour, from the Carnegie Endowment of International Peace, told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins.
“He’s in a bunker. He’s 86 years old. He has limited physical, cognitive bandwidth. Most of his top military commanders were assassinated. He doesn’t control his own airspace. Israel controls it,” he said. “And, you know, there’s no way out of this war. He can’t win this war. He’s outmatched militarily, financially, technologically.”
*The bad guys always end up in a bunker at the end. Adolf’s bunker may be the kind on a golf course. Unlike the olds ruining the world, everyone except brainwashed cultists do have the cognitive bandwidth to pay attention to aaaall the things.
Masked bounty hunters kidnapping and trafficking humans; the looming budget bill (the parliamentarian nixed a lot of stuff, but hasn’t worked on the tax portion yet); DOGE stole data and Palantir plans to use it for surveillance/control of all of us; Elon may have rigged the election, but Congress certified the results so it won’t change anything; our health and science sectors have been decimated; Epstein files/tapes wouldn’t change the minds of cultists no matter how bad it is; a 22-year old with no experience is running domestic counter-terrorism; tariff rollercoaster; grifting ad naseum; wasteful spending on a dud of a birthday party.
My concern is that this “sleeper cell” garbage will be used as a smokescreen for the government attacking a large event so martial law can be declared and elections can be suspended.
Iran wasn’t a threat to us and Trump bombed them because he wants to kill people not because he wants to distract anybody from anything. He didn’t do it for Netanyahu. He did it cause he wants to kill people.
he wants the power of knowing he can tell somebody to kill somebody else for him. It’s a fucking perverted fantasy, the guy is insane
Kristi Noem shot a puppy because she wants to kill people
She plays dress up while ICE destroys lives and families because she wants to hurt people. She is a psychopath.
These people are psychopaths. The people who voted for them are also psychopaths or just purely moronic.
Global environmental lobby Greenpeace added its voice on Monday to protests against this week’s celebrity wedding in Venice between American tech billionaire Jeff Bezos and journalist Laura Sanchez.
The event, expected to attract some 200 guests including U.S. President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner, as well as scores of stars…
Activists from Greenpeace Italy and UK group “Everyone hates Elon” (Musk) unfolded a giant banner in central St Mark’s Square with a picture of Bezos laughing and a sign reading:
“If you can rent Venice for your wedding you can pay more tax.”
*Craig – Didn’t Tom Cruz kind of step on your Italian vacation with his sham wedding? Not sure where you were, exactly.
Let’s see who show their fillered face at the wedding so we know who else has a company that needs to be boycotted.
Was Kristi Noem just having a nip/tuck, and not an allergic reaction? What was she exposed to on that field trip with RFKJ? Anything? Nothing?
you don’t need any red string or Post-it notes to decipher Trump‘s motivations- he’s drunk with power. Full stop.
once again, go out in the world and see how many people are paying attention and you’ll understand they don’t need to distract anybody, there are people who follow politics and many many more who don’t
work, tv, video games, concerts, sports (aka online gambling), bars, shopping, vacationing- everybody is plenty “distracted”
Wow, what a memory BiD: “*Craig – Didn’t Tom Cruz kind of step on your Italian vacation with his sham wedding? Not sure where you were, exactly.”
Yes, his wedding guests stayed in our hotel in Rome. It was very exciting. Dad had a long conversation with Brooke Shields in the lobby, despite having no idea who she was until seeing her on local news coverage. His main takeaway: “She’s a big woman”
@realDonald Trump
Did I hear Former President Medvedev, from Russia, casually throwing around the “N word” (Nuclear!), and saying that he and other Countries would supply Nuclear Warheads to Iran? Did he really say that or, is it just a figment of my imagination? If he did say that, and, if confirmed, please let me know, IMMEDIATELY. The “N word” should not be treated so casually.
I guess that’s why Putin’s “THE BOSS.”
By the way, if anyone thinks our “hardware” was great over the weekend, far and away the strongest and best equipment we have, 20 years advanced over the pack, is our Nuclear Submarines. They are the most powerful and lethal weapons ever built, and just launched the 30 Tomahawks — All 30 hit their mark perfectly. So, in addition to our Great Fighter Pilots, thank you to the Captain and Crew!
Jun 23, 2025, 10:27 AM
*Vlad’s puppet has gone rogue, but still refers to him as “the boss.”
Tucker did his bestest to keep SFB in line, but he doesn’t want to talk to a cashier, nor another associate. Taco Karen demands to speak to the manager. And yeah, he just had to make a racist adjacent comment for his longtime fans who might not like going to war with another country, but are perfectly OK with a civil war. He could’ve just written “nuclear” without the little addition he thinks of as being clever.
Yes, tRUMPsky is all about money and power. There is a gaping hole that will never be filled. However, all of the things that are being done to destroy our country via constitutional rights, civil rights, environmental and monetary deregulation, taxes, data scraping, surveillance by the Heritage Foundation, Peter Thiel, Republicans in Congress, and others are dealing with a random access dementor. They seem to be carrying out their individual missions, but Adolf is a loose canon.
Medvedev saying (if he did) that Russia and others would supply Iran with nuke aid…Russia wants to keep using Iran. That’s a given, especially after listening to Tucker last week, doing a spot-on impression of a Russian tool.
But why did Adolf have to talk to Medvedev? Wouldn’t Vlad take his call?
Iran launched a missile attack Monday on a U.S. military base in Qatar, retaliating for the American bombing of its nuclear sites.
Qatar Foreign Minister spokesman Majed al-Ansari issued a statement saying that Qatar’s air defenses “successfully thwarted the attack and intercepted the Iranian missiles,” and that there were no casualties.
Saudi Arabia on Monday condemned “in the strongest terms” Iran’s attack against a U.S. military base in Qatar.
“But why did Adolf have to talk to Medvedev? Wouldn’t Vlad take his call?“
trump was responding to a Dancy Dima tweet or public statement that was in the headlines
IRAN RETALIATES
So Iran launched a missile attack with short- and medium-range missiles against the US airbase at Al-Udeid in Qatar. Reports are that no one was injured or killed because Qatar intercepted the incoming missiles with its missile defense system, although it’s largely unknown what damage if any occurred, and (get this) the air base had been evacuated in advance of the attack. Wait, stop right there. That’s a big air base, capable of housing 10,000 people – largest in the middle east. That certainly raises questions in my mind – foremost, How did they know this was coming, or was the base evacuated “just in case?” I’m assuming the place is protected with our own missile interceptors (Patriot, Aegis, Arrow…) since missile attacks seem to be the choice du jour in the ME.
As a commenter to my video just wrote: “Looks like both sides fired missiles at ghosts”
yeah, a tit for tat performance to save face and get to back to the table.
If both sides miss did it make a sound?
I can’t turn off news, it’s just the way I have been since I can remember anything from Ike’s presidency. I had cable news on for 17 hours , back and forth, MSNBC and CNN. Several Democrats, most visibly AOC, want Trump impeached again, Tim Kaine and others say Iran was not developing a nuclear weapon at all, and I was astounded to hear the op utilized 125 aircraft. 7 were B2s carrying 30,000 pound bombs, necessitating many airtanker refuellings. And the B2s that actually headed to Iran left before the decoys that flew west…what subterfuge! I see the B2s flew right over my house. I’ll be damned.
Vance says we are not at war with Iran, just the nukes. He should read the definition of war. One nation attacks another, it is war. How long did it take W43 to declare war when some Saudis destroyed the Twin Towers, hell, the Saudis and Osama were just declaring war on two tall buildings? the stuff we are lead to believe.
Eventually, the emotional high from bombing people is going to wear off for Trump and he is going to need to feel it again
impeach immediately
today’s meme…
Seems like about all that’s been accomplished is BiBi renewed his lease to stay in office
I am old enough to remember West Asia as a “modern” region. Women rights. Education. And, so much more. Then things got destroyed.
Reports of the US bombings not what would be expected from the intelligence community (IC). Odd that the most stable genius, smartest man on Earth, knows more than the generals, would make picks that are wrong and stupid.
President Trump announced Monday that Israel and Iran have agreed on a “Complete and Total” ceasefire, a move he said would end a more than week-long conflict between the two countries.
The ceasefire will start in about six hours, and after 12 hours, the “War will be considered, ENDED,” Mr. Trump wrote on Truth Social, indicating that the ceasefire would begin at midnight ET.
“Officially, Iran will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 12th Hour, Israel will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World,” the president said.
There has been no official word yet from Israel or Iran on a ceasefire.
*So thirsty for that Nobel Peace Prize.
just like that cease-fire he declared between Russia and Ukraine
like a child playing make-believe in his bedroom
Yep, and the ceasefire he declared between India and Pakistan.
Iran has not received any ceasefire proposal, senior official says
From CNN’s Frederik Pleitgen in Tehran
Iran has not received any ceasefire proposal and sees no reason for one, a senior Iranian official told CNN.
The official said Iran would continue to fight until it achieves lasting peace and that it would view remarks from Israel and the
US as “a deception” intended to justify attacks on Iran’s interests.
“At this very moment, the enemy is committing aggression against Iran, and Iran is on the verge of intensifying its retaliatory strikes, with no ear to listen to the lies of its enemies,” the official said.
*Yep
lol what other centuries-long cultural conflicts has he resolved today
I’ve recruited a very old friend who just happens to be an arch conservative. We have been fighting quite happily for over 40 years. i’ve promised Steve that he wouldn’t end up in one of Craig’s larger cooking pots.
Welcome, Steve. Any amigo of Jamie’s is our amigo too.
Looking forward to meeting Steve
Apparently Israel and Iran don’t read Truth Social. They’ve not said a word about this.
I’m with Jack in preferring the written word. I try to think of podcasts as just old time radio, but long for a printout so I can really pay attention to the material.
It’s disturbing and disgusting what the thoroughly corrupt majority Supreme Court will co-sign for Dodo. Whatever their twisted logic, it’s contemptible.
The major issue with anything sfb posts, says, or puts out, is it fictional. He is talking about what he hears and sees in his alternate world. Things that only he hears and sees and speaks of. Anyone posting it as real in our world is wrong. Read the words and you hear delusions of a mad man. Bonkers. Off his rockers. Anything except someone rooted in a real world.
He’s hallucinating he will be awarded a noble prize.
I’ve always believed verbal communication is more efficient than the written word.
Craig
Agree for conversation, but a podcast doesn’t answer back.
Israel is bombing Iran. Ceasefire, huh.
Of course, he posts his “truths” for the benefit of his cult who can somehow believe everything, even when the next post contradicts it. Very smooth brains.
The team is trying to figure out how to declare martial law & suspend elections.
There’s a march on July 4th, from Logan Circle to the White House.
There are widespread protests on July 17th.
i can just read faster than a video can get to the point
can’t read while working though
if my brain has to compete with AI, I ain’t got time for videos
While Israel has not yet confirmed President Trump’s cease-fire announcement, Israeli Air Force jets — possibly anticipating that such a declaration will be made soon — are striking dozens of targets in Tehran and other parts of the country, according to two Israeli defense officials.
Tehran is under intense Israeli strikes tonight, according to residents speaking live in a town hall on the application ClubHouse, who have described loud and continuous explosions. They say they can see and hear jets flying overhead. “The Mehrabad airport nearby is being struck back to back,” Mostafa Shams, a journalist in Tehran, told the forum. “I can see the jets and hear them.”
Lousy aim but keeps the crowd on its toes
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said Monday the federal government will fund an effort by Florida to set up immigration detention centers, which include a proposed site in the Everglades that state officials have dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz.”

The people who voted for them are also psychopaths or just purely moronic.
https://www.reuters.com/business/environment/greenpeace-joins-protests-against-gala-bezos-wedding-venice-2025-06-23/
@realDonald Trump

Iran coordinated its strikes on U.S. bases in Qatar, prompting air space closure, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Monday.
The New York Times, which first reported the coordination, said Iran took the action to minimize casualties.

There are widespread protests on July 17th.
i can just read faster than a video can get to the point
can’t read while working though
if my brain has to compete with AI, I ain’t got time for videos
https://www.nytimes.com/live/2025/06/23/world/iran-israel-ceasefire-trump
