Didn’t miss anything, slept okay and cat did not bother until three am.to tell me the food bowls were empty.

bId – puttie health. He has something that causes hand and leg shakes. He disappeared for a while a couple years ago, speculation is he underwent some medical treatments. The shaking is not as visible, but is still there. It is a way to tell a copy puttie from the real thing. There is speculation he had a stroke due to a dragging leg and not very active arm, but you do not see that on the current puttie. Modern medicine helps return from minor strokes. He is a germophobe, just like his krasnov, and rarely shakes hands. As with krasnov a real medical exam report is not out in public. At least twenty doubles have been publicly identified, a couple are very close copies of the real puttie.

Jamie, re your comment last night, Glenn Kessler is doing what he does. Identified 26 false, misleading or out of context claims from last night. WaPo

Fact-checking 26 suspect claims in Trump’s address to Congress

President makes false claims about border crossings, regulations, the economy, inflation and many other issues.

President Donald Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday was vintage Trump: long, rambling and chock-full of stretched facts and dubious figures. Many of these claims have been fact-checked repeatedly, yet the president persists in using them. Here, in the order in which he made them, are 26 statements by the president that were untrue, misleading or lacked context.

As is our practice, we do not awardPinocchios in speech roundups.

“We won the popular vote by big numbers and won counties in our country 2,700 to 525.”

These are misleading metrics. Unlike in 2016, Trump won the popular vote, but only narrowly. On a percentage basis, his margin over Democratic nominee Kamala Harris was 1.5 percent, the smallest since 2000 and the fourth smallest since 1960.

(And on and on..)

Amazing moment during Trump’s handshakes with justices last night — Points finger at Chief Justice John Roberts (who wrote immunity decision), then shakes his hand and says “Thank you again. Thank you again. I won’t forget.” He also thanked Kavanaugh. (Prof. Laurence Tribe’s response on Bsky: “OMFG”)

Absolutely stunning. Trump to Chief Justice Roberts: "Thank you again. Thank you again. I won't forget."

Sylvester Turner, a former Houston mayor who began serving in the U.S. House of Representatives in January, died March 5 at his home in Washington, hours after attending President Donald Trump’s address before Congress. He was 70.

“Business leaders are paying as much as $5 million to meet one-on-one with the president at his Florida compound, sources tell WIRED, while others are paying $1 million apiece to dine with him in a group setting.”

“You are invited to a candlelight dinner featuring special guest President Donald J. Trump,” the invitation reads, under a “MAGA INC.” header. MAGA Inc., or Make America Great Again Inc., is a super PAC that supported Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. “Additional details provided upon RSVP. RSVPs will be accommodated on a first come, first serve basis. Space is very limited. $1,000,000 per person.”

Hope they all choke and/or get food poisoning.

Arizona 15-Week Abortion Ban Permanently Blocked Under Arizona Abortion Access Act

“Arizona 15-Week Abortion Ban Permanently Blocked Under Arizona Abortion Access Act”

“The Arizona Abortion Access Act (Proposition 139) restored Arizonans’ right to control their own bodies and medical decisions, enshrining the right to abortion into the state constitution. It was overwhelmingly approved by voters, who declared that politicians have no place in Arizonans’ reproductive health decisions.”

“The case, filed in Maricopa County Superior Court, asserts that the ban is unconstitutional because it denies Arizonans’ access to abortion care in violation of the state’s 2024 constitutional amendment protecting the fundamental right to abortion.”

https://www.newsweek.com/blackrock-panama-canal-deal-what-we-know-2040093

“BlackRock’s $23 Billion Panama Canal Deal: What We Know So Far”

“…BlackRock-led acquisition of two key ports along the Panama Canal, marking a significant shift in control over a critical international trade route.”

“The agreement sees CK Hutchison Holdings selling its interests in ports across 23 countries, including the Balboa and Cristobal ports on either end of the Panama Canal. A consortium led by BlackRock, Global Infrastructure Partners, and Terminal Investment Limited will take over the assets.”

“The $23 billion sale provides the Hong Kong-based conglomerate with nearly $19 billion in cash, equivalent to its entire market value, and a way to exit the mounting geopolitical tensions.”

“For BlackRock, the deal is part of a broader push into global infrastructure investment. The firm expects the acquired ports to generate about $1.7 billion in annual earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization.”

“Jack Daniel’s maker says Canada pulling US alcohol off shelves ‘worse than tariff’
“I mean, that’s worse than a tariff, because it’s literally taking your sales away, (and) completely removing our products from the shelves,” Whiting said on a post-earnings call.
Canada accounted for only 1% of the company’s total sales, Whiting said, so the company can withstand the hit.”

“Whiting added the company would watch out for what happens in Mexico, which according to its annual report, made up 7% of its 2024 sales.”

As the rest of the world follows suit, they will find a replacement and probably never go back. We are a global pariah. Nobody will want “made in the USA” anymore. Putin is laughing at Agent Krasnov and the RussoRepublicans in Congress and the “junk drawer.”

https://www.newsweek.com/doge-set-cancel-lease-weather-nerve-center-tornado-season-begins-2040142

“The Department of Government Efficiency is set to cancel the lease of a major National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) facility that meteorologists call the “the nerve center for the entire weather enterprise in the United States.”

“We call it the ‘American Weather Enterprise,’ and by ‘we,’ I mean the American Meteorological Society, the industry, the private sector, as well as the government, the military, the Air Force and the Naval Weather Service,” Paul said Wednesday.”

“A day earlier, multiple outlets reported that the Trump administration was planning to make major cuts to NOAA, including cancelling the leases of several facilities that include the Center for Weather and Climate Prediction in College Park, Maryland.”

“For the 2024 fiscal year, the U.S. spent $6.8 billion on NOAA’s discretionary spending budget.
“That amounts to about $3 per taxpayer per year to get the kind of protection that we get,” Paul said, adding that, “I don’t think the public is fully aware of how much they’re getting on their tax dollars.”

“Some believe that the reported lease cancellations, along with the recent layoffs and hiring limitations, suggest that DOGE is trying to dismantle NOAA entirely. Mann warned that “Without NOAA we are flying blind into a climate abyss.”

“The primary forecasting for “convective” weather events like tornadoes take place at the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) in Norman, Oklahoma. DOGE cuts have hit the SPC as well, according to Rick Spinrad, the former NOAA administrator.”
