  1. A beautiful morning glory to the trail and keep looking-up for chinese fireworks to celebrate the peace on the korean pennisula.   china continues to circle the globe with the silk road.

Meanwhile, we in the US of AA are in a digital civil war.   russia and china are running global matters as donnie the drain runs through resources and integrity at alarming rates.

  2. Stick and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me.

colbert must not be reading the trail, he gives trump a new nickname of ‘spanky.’

While I watch our institutions be destroyed and life cheapened under the trumpence junta, I cling to my humor and use name calling to lessen my fear and help me keep my human power.   As I watch my current life get ripped-out by the roots?   It soothes me to call-out suckabee for her lying by lessening her power by calling her a pretty darn good nick name.  I will continue to cling to my humor and science.   I notice these days humor is taking a beating by the bully trump.   griffin, carrey, franken, colbert all out-favor with their anti-trump humor.   Now barr is the best humor….1980’s redux.   Back in the day, she was ostracized for her baseball national anthem signing.   As we time travel the entire country back to the 1950’s?    Humor helps my fear.   I do not want to go backwards ever again.

  3. Two small details apparently missed by Laura- Hoff got into CalPoly and FIU. He has college options. And one campus that rejected his app was UCal Berkeley. So much for the “librul colleges” meme from the right.

  4. Yep Hogg and his 4.1 grade average got rejected by some of the places where he sent applications.  I wonder what grades DOCTOR Laura got on her law degree that helped her fake her radio spiel.  Some of her Wiki entries are things that make you go “Huh?”  Laura Ingraham

BW, I like “Suckabee” for the lying PR person nickname, but usually just resort to “Slanders” for most purposes.

  5. BW, well said. I’ve called Sarah Suckabee since I first heard it, and there’s not a hint of anything sexual when I use it. I’ve also called her Huckleberry- and there’s nothing sexual or canine intended.  I’m just Giving her the same respect that she gives the truth.

  6. Ingram picked the wrong target to troll.  Hogg posted her advertisers & gave contact info for folks to let them know how disgusting her personal attack is toward a survivor of a mass shooting because je is speaking out for gun control.

I hope she loses all of her advertisers.  Laura is out of her depth.  This young man has so much more going for him already than Ingram has in her many decades of life.

Her personal attack on Hogg did not make her any more relevant, which I suspect was her actual reason for it.  Step aside for a new generation.

  7. And you know who will NEVER get into college Laura?

The kids who were shot & killed.

  8. No one is saying you can’t resort to name calling or other behavior. If you want to sink to their level & wallow in the mud, go for it. It is a reflection of you more than them. Just remember that every walk with the dark side gives them credence & debases your efforts as a moral force, undercutting any perceived higher ground. These foes of democracy have proper names: use them for they cannot hide behind them. Why give anyone who deliberately works to undercut/destroy our government ammunition to continue fighting through endless immature behavior? It is old, it is tired, it is stale. It is beneath dignity. Let such behavior be their legacy – for we should know better.

  9. “What about using actual names? These are the names that will be on any legal documents. I’m not afraid of the truth.”

sjwny, last night you posited the above and this a.m. you broad brush some of us with “If you want to sink to their level & wallow in the mud, go for it.”

earlier on the trail in my naïve green horn days here, I too thought that naming names was what was appropriate (even to self-righteously shunning a nom de plume for myself); however, someone very wisely pointed out how the value placed on “hits” (no matter whether positive or negative…just the raw number) enhanced the standing of wannabe politicians and celebs.   from that time on starting with half-gov I’ve tried to refrain from actual names of those i’d rather not empower by contributing to their enhancement….  kinda like avoiding/skewing the nielsen ratings  by not tuning to certain channels on the tv and  remembering the code of the publicity hound:  “I Don’t Care What They Say, as Long as They Spell My Name Right”

wapo: ‘The fatty on the train’: Kim Jong Un nicknames proliferate in China despite censors

Censorship is a lot harder in China than it used to be due to social media. But that didn’t stop the Chinese government from trying to keep secret the historic visit to Beijing by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Officials did it in part by scrubbing from the country’s Internet Chinese characters for “Kim Jong Un,” “North Korea” and Kim’s popular nicknames among Chinese, such as “Fatty Fatty,” Business Insider reported.
But Chinese users know how to skirt bans. They just came up with new nicknames, according to Reuters.
Some, such as “the fatty on the train” and “the obese patient,” were a play on the banned words. Others were more tactful, referring to the leader as “the visitor from the northeast” and “the sibling next door,” Reuters reported.

    [….]
The censorship was an attempt to quell speculation about the visit and keep curious Chinese netizens in the dark, according to Business Insider.
A current list of top 10 blocked terms on Weibo, a microblogging site, included multiple terms related to the North Korean leader, according to freeweibo.com, a website that tracks censorship.
Other popular Chinese nicknames for Kim such as “Fatty the third” and “Fatty Kim the third” also occupied spots on the list.
This is not the first time the Chinese government has attempted scrub Kim’s nicknames.
Back in 2016, China temporarily banned terms like “Kim the Fat,” “Kim Fat III” and “Kim Fatty III,” Business Insider reported.
It appears the ban was a result of North Korean officials asking China to “stamp out the abuse,” according to the BBC.

  11. from the new republic: Smearing Parkland Students Is a Symptom of the Right’s Ideological Exhaustion

There’s no better proof of the impact of gun-control activism than the unrestrained vitriol directed against the students from Stoneman Douglas High School, who are now the most vocal public voices in the debate. Less than two weeks after the mass shooting in February, Charles C.W. Cooke published an article with the unfortunate title “David Hogg Is Fair Game for Critics.” Cooke made the reasonable argument that Hogg, one of the most prominent student survivors, was now a public figure voicing controversial opinions, so political opponents shouldn’t shy away from making sharp, if respectful, rebuttals.
Cooke’s argument, on its own terms, is perfectly reasonable. The problem is that much of the response on the right has included nasty and mendacious personal attacks on the students, not rational arguments about the wisdom of gun control. The dominance of personal attacks suggests that on the issue of guns, the right is facing a genuine conundrum: The students combine unimpeachable personal testimony (their experience surviving the shooting) with specific gun-control policies that are popular with the vast majority of Americans.
Lacking any persuasive political arguments, the right has decided to smear the students. What’s notable is that this effort extends to many different factions of conservatism, from hard-core Trumpists to supposedly more moderate Never Trump conservatives. As ThinkProgress editor Judd Legum notes:

    @JuddLegum

Trump has made us a bit numb but the coordinated, dishonest and mean-spirited attacks on a group of high school students by the right-wing media — a group of students who just survived a mass shooting — is an abomination

    3:20 PM – Mar 27, 2018

Breitbart highlighted videos purportedly showing Hogg making a Nazi salute.  Representative Steve King attacked another student activist, Emma González, for both wearing a Cuban patch flag and for not knowing Spanish. There’s been a raft of other conspiracy theories floating around right-wing social media, ranging from the students being crisis actors to González ripping up a copy of the Constitution.

  14. patd,

    I’m not afraid.

I also believe that sinking to their level is enabling their cause. All should be named. History needs a tally of who stood up & who hid. The lesson of the brave people who, during Nazi Occupation, donned Stars of David in solidarity with their neighbors rather than cowering in fear is a powerful remembrance. Who is Spartacus? I am Spartacus. I do not enable evil. I call it out. I am not afraid.

Everyone here has the right to comment as she/he chooses. This is a remarkable strength. How you choose to present yourself to the world is strictly up to you. You are the guide to how history judges your actions.

  15. humorless git  not how I want to be thought of
this constant carping about how other people write or their style is stupid — iof you don’t like ignore it. It is very unpleasant being around a bunch of scolds

  16. Katherine Graham Cracker,

I will always defend your right to speak as you choose. What you say & how you present yourself to the world is up to you.

I also think the world of you & will never call you a name except for being a highly intelligent person who has a lot to offer society.

  17. Trail Mix is a unique opportunity for intelligent, reasoned thought. I believe that everyone here has a higher plain & can actually lift up the daily chatter with enlightened writing. It exists in all here.

  18. I’m willing to accept whatever opinions anyone has of me for expressing my derision for the worst of the worst through the use of nicknames.  My intent is to make fun of them by using silly nicknames – SFB and Suckabee are the 2 major ones I use, and they are my targets because they both have little use for the truth and apparently don’t care what their dishonesty does to the country.  Plus it’s fun – I’ve spent a lifetime at least since Nixon satirizing and lampooning the stupid, so it fits my style just fine.

  19. At this point the State of Florida must embrace and nurture the Parkland students. For those graduating high school this year, make room for each of them in an appropriate community college or state university. If they ‘need’ to leave the state, be graceful in enabling that to happen.

  20. Laura Ingraham — and other of her ilk will be held responsible if anything happens to those kids   They all have places to go– this is just a rightwing crap fest – what they do all the time

    don’t buy into their crap

I highly recommend this interview.  Chelsea Manning is a thoughtful person.  I think she has the experience necessary to be a very good senator and I hope people in Maryland won’t dismiss her candidacy out of hand

If I lived in Maryland I would vote for her and work on her campaign

  23. David Hogg has more integrity on the tip of his little finger than Ingraham has in her whole body.

I’m with KGC… I’m here to have fun.  As far as… this is real…  oh sure… I run around in my daily life telling people to address me as rebelliousrenee.  This is a friggin’ blog…  started by someone with a very healthy sense of humor (which is what attracted me to here).  Anyone wants a change, I’m sure they know how to start their own.

KGC… I too wake up every morning and hope to find out that SFB passed away in his sleep.  It sure would save this nation a lot of trouble.

  24. Rachel Ray has pulled her ads for her dog food from lovely Laura Ingraham

  25. Flatus, with a 4.1 and SAT of 1270 young Mr. Hogg will be fine and wil have may options.  Your suggestions are probably well known to him, but it seems he wanted to live in sunny CA – and has that opportunity at Cal Poly if he chooses to go there.  Cal public universities are tough nuts to crack for out of state students.    LP had good grades (@ 3.9) and OK SAT, but he didn’t even apply to UCLA.  the Schools he didn’t get into are among the toughest in CA regardless of a kid’s grades and scores.

  26. Every morning I wake hoping that the vice usurper died in his sleep, in the loving arms of an Hispanic Mulatto male with a lapsed visa and a tattoo that reads “Viva Single Payor Health Care.”

  27. The NRA originally thought they could just produce their own teenagers see the NY article of photos of teens and tweens with guns and they also produced a bunch of editorials written by teenaged gun users.   I think it only repulsed people so they’ve up the ante on the teens leading the movement.

  28. Why would any young Floridian want to attend such a cold and dreary school as Berkeley is when there are UCLA and San Diego State ? I mean, PRIORITIES !

PS I attended the U of Minnesota. sigh

    really truly laughing out loud

  31. kgc, you are so right about “It is very unpleasant being around a bunch of scolds”

but in those many cases when you or others have to scold me, please add a bit of humor and make it funny…. a little bit of sugar really does make the medicine go down and generally cures the problem child.

  32. Manning was and still is a traitor. She was not pardoned for disclosing 750,000 classified and sensitive documents to Wikileaks. She had her 35-year sentence commuted after seven-years by President Obama. I recognize that she had a horrendous experience in our military. At the time, though, she enlisted fraudulently. I’m in favor of the enlightened rules adopted during Mr Obama’s administration. I’m pleased that she was able to have her reassignment surgery before her release.

  33. You may view her as a traitor but legally she is not.  She was not convicted of treason.

  34. bet there are more than one highly respected universities that are now reaching out to young mr. hogg begging him to bless their institution.

  36. Dear patd…  I don’t like that stupid grinning cat I have to see every time you comment.  Please replace it with something much more dignified such as…

  37. Craig…  you have covered how many elections…  and are you trying to say that you have never seen the polls numbers narrow… especially as it gets closer to said election.  I expect the numbers to get really close by Oct.

  38. Maybe it will motivate Dems to actually turn out & also cause Repubs to be complacent and stay home.

Glad Ingram’s sponsors  have started to flee.

  39. The back-handed scold:    “It is very unpleasant being around a bunch of scolds.”

  40. Darn it! No deposition for Stormy by Trumpsky.  I hope there is something good on that DVD.  Can Mueller get it?

  41. Saying that one poll shows a 10% narrowing of the polls is misleading.  That 16 point poll was a outlier.  Of the 17 February polls reported by RCP, there were 4 that showed double digit leads for the dems.   The dem average in February polls was =8.3%.  The average of the March polls is dems + 7.0%.  That’s a 1.3% slippage over the period the CNN poll shows a 10% drop.

  42. Craig… I hear you.  I take some comfort in the fact that Conor Lamb won by a little more than 500 votes… but he did win.

Also…  Joe Biden should win that poll… he does have the most name recognition.  I think Sanders came in 2nd… same reason… name recognition.  I can’t wait to see who actually throws their hat into the ring after the mid terms.

  43. renee, yeah, carter and obama pretty much came out of nowhereville in traditional name recognition when they started their runs.   too bad the poll didn’t ask about clooney or oprah and give us a sense whether it’s  just name recognition or substantive support for biden, Bernie and warren.

  44. BiD, take heart about the deposition denial.  didn’t sound never ever… judge said it was  “premature”…judicial-ese for “chill, not yet, hold your horses”

  45. renee, really loved your idea about the no bullshit avatar…. but too high a bar to aspire to.

  46. cbs news:
Secretary of Defense James Mattis’ first-ever meeting with  John Bolton, ……
“Ambassador Bolton, so good to see you. Thanks for coming and it’s good to finally meet you. I heard that you’re actually the devil incarnate and I wanted to meet you,” the secretary can be heard saying in an off-mic moment while greeting the former Ambassador to the United Nations. Bolton laughed off the remark as the two entered the Pentagon for their official meeting.
    [….]
The meeting was the first for the two as Bolton is set to officially replace Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster as national security adviser on April 9.
Speculation concerning Bolton’s ability to work well with Mattis has circulated in recent weeks. Bolton, a noted hawk, has argued for military intervention against North Korea as well as completely abandoning the Iran nuclear deal.
Mattis, however, has tried to dispel concerns about their working relationship, saying he was confident in a “partnership” developing between the two.
“He’s going to come over this week. Last time I checked he’s an American. I can work with an American,” Mattis told reporters last week.

  47. Re (sort of) the poll #s and Mr Hogg’s GPA : I recommend How To Lie With Statistics by Huff.

  48. I don’t mean to suggest that Mr Hogg’s GPA is a lie, just that numbers get thrown about and those of us that are number averse or enumerate may get the wrong idea.

In my era, a mere millennium ago, they highest GPA was 4.0. The number 4.1 might seem as though it is 4.1 out of a possible 10.0, instead of honors.

In point of fact, I, myself, have no idea what a 4.1 means. I’m just b.s.ing like ingraham did.

  49. Doesn’t bolton’s nomination require the consent of the Senate, and can’t the Dems force crooked thom tillis to recuse/excuse himself from voting ?

  50. x-r,  Bolton’s position doesn’t fall into the confirmation bucket unfortunately.
about that 4.1 gpa see this from prepscholar:

    The Weighted GPA Conversion Chart

Many schools also calculate a weighted GPA, ending up with a scale that ranges from 0.0 to 5.0. The weighted GPA tries to account for the fact that different level classes have different degrees of difficulty. The way this scale differentiates between harder and easier classes is by adding .5 to Honors and adding 1 to AP grades. This would mean a B in an AP class is equal to an A in a regular-level class for your GPA. Here’s how weighted grades convert:

  51. Well looks like Laura realized the error of her ways.

Any student should be proud of a 4.2 GPA —incl. .  On reflection, in the spirit of Holy Week, I apologize for any upset or hurt my tweet caused him or any of the brave victims of Parkland.

All I can say  “Laura don’t fuck with those kids, they’re smarter than you are, better educated too.”

Seems like David’s response to Laura was to tweet out a list of her sponsors. for some reason she saw the light.

Ya know these kids are the face of modern public education, it has been money well spent.

it’s baseball time!  May everyone’s team have a successful season….

    Go Red Sox!

  54. Poobah, it is almost impossible to overestimate the ability of dem leaders to screw up an almost sure thing.

patd, not sure that is the scale used by Hogg’s school – LP’s school had a 4.0 scale.  Anything above a 4.0 reflected advanced placement grades, credit worthy extracurriculars and the like, so like X-R we all have no idea what a 4.1 means and are just b.s.ing like ingraham did.  But if we state it with certainty we may certainly feel like we know what the hell we’re saying is correct.

reuters: U.S. Special Counsel probing Russia contacts at Republican convention: sources

Investigators probing whether Donald Trump’s presidential campaign colluded with Russia have been questioning witnesses about events at the 2016 Republican National Convention, according to two sources familiar with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s inquiries.
Mueller’s team has been asking about a convention-related event attended by both Russia’s U.S. ambassador and Jeff Sessions, the first U.S. senator to support Trump and now his attorney general, said one source, who requested anonymity due to the ongoing investigation.
Another issue Mueller’s team has been asking about is how and why Republican Party platform language hostile to Russia was deleted from a section of the document related to Ukraine, said another source who also requested anonymity.
Mueller’s interest in what happened at the Republican convention in Cleveland, Ohio in July 2016, is an indication that Trump campaign contacts and actions related to Russia remain central to the special counsel’s investigation.
Trump, who was nominated as the Republican Party candidate for the November 2016 election during the convention, has denied any collusion with Russia during the campaign. Moscow has denied U.S. intelligence agencies’ findings that it interfered in the campaign to try to tilt the election in Trump’s favor.
Investigators have asked detailed questions about conversations that Sessions, then a Trump campaign adviser, had at a convention event attended by then-Russian Ambassador to the United States Sergei Kislyak, said the first source, who was questioned by Mueller about the event.
The same source said Mueller’s team also has been asking whether Sessions had private discussions with Kislyak on the sidelines of a campaign speech Trump gave at Washington’s Mayflower Hotel in April 2016.
Sessions’ spokespersons have denied repeatedly that he had any private discussions with Kislyak at the Mayflower, although Sessions has admitted to speaking briefly to Kislyak at the event.
Spokespersons for Mueller and Sessions declined to comment on Mueller’s interest in Sessions’ activities at the convention and other convention-related events.

My point about Berkeley was that such tender buds from So Florida would likely wilt and expire under the frigid Bay area fogs. That’s a comment on So Floridians, not on NoCal or NoCaliens. As a frozen Gopher, I would probably defrost and really LIVE LIVELY for a change in NoCal  – or maybe even in tropical Madison, WI.

  64. My nickname is Xrepublican, or X-R, XR, xr, or just plain x.

I don’t care how you spell it, just no buddy gimme no bad news..

  65. Yeah, not a lot of cold fog in southern Florida.  That part of the Bay area has more in common with the coast of Maine than it does with the California Pacific.  If he ends up there Mr. Hogg will probably find the climate at San Luis Obispo more to his liking, unless he just hates that eternal summer thing.

  66. I’m an atheist, and no, i don’t belong to any church.

For all this free-communication, all this nicknaming, and slandering, and light- shedding, and exchange of ideas, and protesting, and expressed outrage, and jokes, and article-linking, and facebook-shaming, and twittering, and yada yada… what has it gotten us, as a society?  Fascism.

In The Spirit Of Holy Week, Everybody Hates Laura Ingraham And Her Dumb Shitmouth

Hi! Three Laura Ingraham posts in one day! That must mean things are SLOOOOOOOOOOW in the news right now. (Not complaining, first time that’s happened since 2016 we think.) We come to you with glad tidings of the FOURTH and FIFTH companies deciding they’re just not that into Laura Ingraham, after she thought it would be a good idea to make fun of one of the Parkland shooting survivors on Twitter.
Rachael Ray’s Nutrish dog food, TripAdvisor, and Wayfair had already canceled advertising on Ingraham’s show. And now, even after Ingraham’s VERY HEARTFELT APOLOGY, where she explained that “in the spirit of Holy week” (because this is the only week of the year Ingraham even feigns having a soul apparently) she was very sorry for being such a dick, which was very funny to us, because she only got “sorry” once advertisers started fleeing. And now Expedia has confirmed that it also pulled its advertising from the show, though in its statement to Huffington Post, it did not mention whether it made the move because of Ingraham’s tweet about David Hogg, or whether it’s just because Expedia already hated her because back in February she said LeBron James should “shut up and dribble,” which is offensive because Expedia has posters of LeBron all over its bedroom wall, but Expedia forgot to cancel her shitmouth until today.
Oh yeah, Nestlé’s out too, though its statement is kind of weaselly.
Hogg does not accept Ingraham’s apology:

  70. laura ingram is an ugly human, but she works for faux news.   trump has given murdoch the disney gift while impeding att and time warner deal.  faux news is not going anywhere when it should be under investigation.    But, not during the trump years as faux news is one reason trump is sitting in the WH.  There are as many departures in the WH as faux news and it seems the two are interchangeable at times.

As for the polls, Craig,  I have noticed trump is gaining and the dems are dropping.  Something is going on and many say the economy is the reason, but it is as bad as when roseanne’s show started when reagonomics  and trickle down effects were really ruining the economy as the savings and loan crisis roared.

The gop pushback is fierce since the threat of a blue wave.  I am betting on the young surfing jackasses to pull this out, but we need some old jackasses to do some mentoring and better headlines across the media.  2020 is key to 2018.   dems have to get a message across so many media outlets while the repugs have faux news, right wing radio/internet and church.  Which brings me to Jimmy Carter.  His latest remarks about trump left me reeling.   And the moral high ground is so squishy when sex pervs get mulligans from evangelicals and dems are just viewed as baby killers.   It is why 2018 will have more blue dog dems and maybe the dems should try to stick together this time.

  71. Laura Ingraham found out she can’t whisk away David Hogg with a twist of her wrist holding her feather pen.  Oldtimers say “don’t f*** with the money if you want to hang around.”  You folks have already discussed how L.In. lost 4 major sponsors quickly.  The sweetest bitter knife was stuck into Ingraham’s body of “work” when Hogg refused to completely accept the apology, so blatant it was that it was a C.Y.A** moment by  Ingraham.  She found out she can’t blow smoke up the butts of her sponsors.  Personally, I cannot stand her.    What’s confusing are Mann Coulter’s and S.E. Cupp’s recent harsh words for Trump.

The more I read about warmonger Bolton and Ronny Jackson the more worry-warts pop out.  None of the old brass commentators , none of the sub-level commanders think Dr. Ronny can possibly handle the massive operations of the V.A.  Personally, I joined V.A. when Obama was the C.I.C., and Robert McDonald ran V.A.   I was helped, I was happy with my care, pharmacy, procedure at the giant Ann Arbor facility.  Now…the gap between my checkups has doubled in time.  My travel pay compensation was slashed 50%.  Doctor visits are quick. in and out, next!   The Toledo facility now has kiosks where officers were…no more travel pay clerk, no cashier, a third of the check-in crew are left, the rest to the ether I guess.  All Trump’s promises about improving V.A. care seem, to ths Vietnam vet, to be B.S.

  72. Standing ovation for Hillary Clinton – Eagleton Institute at Rutgers.   More than 5,000 person crowd.

  73. “Doctor visits are quick. in and out, next!”

dexter, and that was BEFORE the privatization I bet. when va becomes mostly private, those quick visits will be reduced to waving to the docs as you’re rushed in and out the door. critical care on their part will be checking the box off you were there  in order to get reimbursed.

btw, how’s the wife?  hope each day becomes easier for her. my little fracture and chip last may seem so insignificant in comparison, but I kinda know what she’s going thru,  the inconveniences she’s facing and commiserate with her wholeheartedly.

  74. Dex, good to see you back. The idiot voters in your state helped strip you of the help the nation owes you. I hear my Dem MIL talk about the ridiculous and delusional POV of her Republican friends when it comes to SFB. Remember, he loves veterans….who weren’t POWs.

  75. yeah, jeff, another special counsel might end up finding even more mud on you and your boss by the time he’s through.

    wapo:

Sessions, for now, rebuffs GOP calls for second special counsel to probe FBI actions in Clinton and Russia investigations

  76. Patd, Ernie will appoint a 2nd special counsel if the IG finds anything…or nothing. He likes his job and wants to keep it. Look for the SFB tweets to see what he’ll do.

  77. Trumpsky  says we’ll be leaving Syria “very soon.”   Not soon enough for 5 Americans just killed by an IED.  But we’re getting only  out because Put-ey told Trumpsky what to do, right?  Helping out Asswad.  It’s a no-win, no-win.

  78. Oh, so we’re not getting out of Syria & nobody in the WH or Pentagon no WTF SFB is talking about now.

Really, isn’t it time to take the car keys away from Gramps?

  79. A beautiful morning glory to the trail on this a holy day and weekend for many…Good Friday, Passover, chinese space station crashing and the wino’s 11th wedding anniversary on April 1st, Easter.  Hubby and I have decided to start the party early and make ‘it’ a 3 day event because of all of the holidays.  Ironically, STEEL is the appropriate gift of the 11th anniversary.  No tariffs in our household this year!  BTW, another couple celebrates their wedding anniversary in April?  I believe it is their fifth wedding anniversary.  The exchange of wood!

  80. When mcmaster left the WH, I commented there is no junta without generals.  Well, with the nomination of dr. good genes, ronny johnson, we have another general sort of…the balance is back.

A rear-admiral is a flag officer, the naval equivalent of a general officer. A rear-admiral is senior to acommodore and brigadier-general, and junior to a vice-admiral and lieutenant-general.

  81. The kids are winning.

    #thekidsarewinning

the as usual vicious right wing smear machine is totally ineffective against them.

That kid beat the Ingraham toenail like she was the neighbor’s mule…..

  82. The altar continues to burn and I have made changes throughout the seasons and holidays.  Today I celebrate Mr. Mueller’s investigation into the gop 2016 convention….a ruskie-fest for sure and Mr. Mueller may finally get to the bottom of mel’s plagiarism of Mrs. Obama’s speech.

  83. (Gratuitous photo of senior dog, Ms. Bologna.)

    Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday!
